ATI X700PRO Review

Strengths: Great speed 256 MB of memory

Weakness: Puts out alot of heat

This is by far the best graphics card that I have ever used. For for $199.99 I think it's worth every penny. This card runs everything I've thrown at it with no problems at all. The only thing about is that it runs kinda hot. Besides the heating issue I think this is a great card, and I recommend it to everyone.

Does everything I want and more!

Strengths: Value, Quality, and Performance. On-board processor

Weakness: CD Software

Finally decided to get a new graphics card that would be more up-to-date so I can play the newer computer games out there. This card fit the budget so I finally got up the nerve and went for it. Like most cards I've had, this was very to install. I found that the cd it comes with has alot of stuff that I don't want and in the typical installation setting, it has many of those checked. I went to the ati website and downloaded the latest drivers and installed that instead. The first this I tested was Terminator 3 which I felt had lots of effects and it handled it perfectly. Then tried HL2 which did not run to well with my other card. This card though handled it perfectly. I couldn't ask for any more. I highly recommend this to everyone. It will handle the games now and many that will come out in the future.

Good Card for the Money!

Strengths: 256MB and DVI Out.

Weakness: Requires extra power connection (most decent AGP card do!)

I wanted to upgrade my current Radeon 9600 Pro but was
limited because my system does not have a PCI Expess
slot. I decided to go with the Radeon X700 Pro and
have been satisfied with my choice. I made my choice
based on Price (Black Friday) and the fact that it had
256MB and DVI. Using the card I have found that
Doom3, FarCry, Half Life2, and Guild Wars all play
very well at medium to high settings with this card. I
had no problems installing the card and my 300W Antec
Power supply has not shown any issues giving it power.
Overall I would recommend this card to someone who
wants a budget card with some bang for there buck.

x700Pro AGP

Strengths: fast graphics card, good price with rebate

Weakness: relatively big, barely fits in my mini case

This card is a replacement for my old 9100 series. It's quite a bit faster, in my 3.2 HT system. Installation is straight forward except for the long board of the card that makes installation more difficult, esp. within my mini case. Otherwise, I am very happy with the performance, esp. after a nice rebate from Buy.com

My Very First ATi

I got this card at BestBuy black friday sale, so for $100, this is an outstanding graphics card. It's hard to say how unbiased my review will be since I'm upgrading from a GeForce 4 TI4200. I've upgraded from 128MB to 256MB, from SDRam to DDR, from AGP 8X to PCIe ... and on and on. This card is astounding, I can play just about any game out there and some in the future, well at least for a couple of months I'll be somewhat closer to the top end. For a long time I've been loyal to Nvidia cards, now it's hard to resist ATi, even though I have a SLI board, I can't justify the costs for 2 video boards, not yet at least. From all my research it looks like ATi is on top and this card backs it up well. I haven't tried the dual monitor, but that's next on my list.

ATI X700 PRO Is A Winner

Strengths: Easy to install and does everything that it promises!

Weakness: Extraneous junk on the installation CD.

My original 128MB video card was not running games at the speed or resolution that I wanted. When I got a tremendous deal on the X700 card at Best Buy ($130), I had to upgrade. My first impression was how easily I could complete the installation - I have never even opened my computer before, but it took only a few minutes to install and run this baby. The graphics are amazingly better now, and I can get full screen resolution with King Kong, Battlefield 2, and many other games. I highly recommend the ATI X700.

Radeon X700 Pro Video Card (256MB, AGP 8X, DVI)

Strengths: Speed. This is among the fastest cards I have ever used.

Weakness: Cost. Still a little high but worth the lighting fast speed.

Streaming video, 3d graphics or general use, this card can do it all. It was very easy to install and supporting documentation is excellent. Card is solid and well designed. Highly recommended for almost any graphics need.

Nice Video Card

Strengths: Great quality for the average gamer. Quick and easy to install.

Weakness: too many CD's, but good software

I tested out this card and it's okay, but I'd rather get something more powerful for gaming and video editing purposes. Overall, it's excellent for an average computer/gamer user.

Great Buy!

Strengths: Great Picture. Has DVI. Cheap. Easy To Install.

Weakness: Gets Pretty hot.

This card is wonderful. I traded it out for my intergrated Intel "Extreme" Graphics card, which was just horrible. This card is a great boost of speed and picture. Only down side is that the card tends to get pretty hot, and will hardly allow you to play the newest games for more than 3 hours.

ATI X700PRO Review

Strengths: Excellent performer for the price, deffinatly one of the best in its class.

Weakness: Its quite bulky, requires a generous amount of powersupply to run correctly. It also tends to overheat with alot of strain on it, say running BF2 online, or FEAR ect. Extra cooling is reccommend.

This card has treated me well, I have been running BF2, Hitman blood money, FEAR, Ghost Recon Advanced war fighter, NFS Carbon, Red Orchestra, Call of duty, MOH:PA, Counter Strike source, Halflife 2, Armed assault demo, and Rainbow six games (minus Vegas) will get to that in a moment.
After playing all of these serious graphic intense games, my X700 PRO AGP has performed quite well, not superb but enough to have a very enjoyable gameing experience.
This card is most deffinatly worth the money, actually it is a steal.
Now as for this card not running the latest installment in the Rainbow Six series, called VEGAS. The reason is that this card does not support Shader 3.0 technology thus is cannot run the newest games that are to come out soon.
This is why I have now just purchased a Geforce 6800GS 512mb, I will still keep my X700 for backup though.
Happy shopping everyone, and if you are looking for performace at a bargain BUY THIS CARD!!.
Cheers.
