Strengths: A very afforable price - Easy to install software - User friendly

Weakness: Nothing worth mentioning

This little machine is worth every cent you pay for it. As long as you do exactly as you're told, the software installs with no glitches. In addition, it is extremely easy to setup and just as easy to use. Believe me when I tell you that you can't go wrong if you purchase this peripheral for your home or office. A great buy at an economical price!

A spectacular does-everything machine!

Strengths: Piece of cake to set up and install. Easy-to-use controls. Great price for all you get.

Weakness: Paper tray seems like it may break if not carefully used.

I have been in the market for a 4-in-1 machine for the last couple months, as my Lexmark 3-in-1 was dying. I wanted to get a 4-in-1 to replace it, so that I could have faxing capabilities. My dad recently gave me an HP printer, which I am superbly happy with, so I decided to look into the HP 4-in-1s. My main purpose for this machine was for printing a small amount of everyday things, such as e-mails and letters, as well as receiving a few faxes a week for my business and a few copying projects a month.

I considered the Officejet 5610, the Officejet 6210 and the Photosmart 2610. After reading horrible review after horrible review on the 6210, I discarded that as a choice, and it was then between the 5610 and the 2610. I read every review I could get my hands on. There were hardly any bad things said about the 5610. There were several bad things said about the 2610, but I was still confident that I could choose that one, if I decided it was best for me.

I finally decided that the only reason to get the 2610 was for its speed, since I wasn't going to use it for pictures. It seemed like a lot more money just for the speed. The only other thing I liked about it was the networking capability, which everyone who reviewed it said didn't work with XP. So I finally decided on the 5610.

This machine is incredibly easy to assemble and install on your computer. All I used to install it was the quick-reference directions that came with the box. The controls are easy to use and very simple to understand on the display. It prints plenty quick enough for the average person's needs, which is much faster than my 12-page Lexmark was. The print quality is very nice and readable even on the fast-draft option. The fax operated properly when I tested it, but I have not yet tried to scan anything.

The only issue I have had was with receiving faxes, which was mainly my fault. The fax machine was picking up all the calls, not just the distinctive ring faxes, like it should, since I only have one phone line. I went on the HP support page and did an online chat with a support person. He was very personable and prompt with his answers. He had me change a few settings and said it should now work perfectly.

I have no real complaints with this machine, other than the paper trays are a bit delicate. I think that a decent knocking of them might break them, so be aware of that if you purchase it. Otherwise, it's a perfect machine for a small business or personal use. I would highly recommend this machine. The ink is less expensive than the 2610's ink, even though the cartridges hold less, and it is usually about $70 less than the 2610. Bravo, HP! If it stays this good from here on out, I will be ecstatic!

OfficeJet

Strengths: This printer is cheap, but good quality

Weakness: Software will eat up to 1 GB of your harddrive

So far i am happy with this printer. It would be better if Hp also include phone handset with this printer. Cable wasnt included and it is about $30. Instalation was very easy. I dont like paper tray in this printer.

HP-5610 is great!

Strengths: Allows one to copy, fax, scan, and print.

Weakness: None thus far.

For the price paid, this printer is worth far more! It allows one to copy, fax, scan, and print (pretty fast) and the HP support software included with the product are great; tutorials are included to help one with any of the functions. And there is also a hard copy manual in case one prefers that method to help. Setting it up is a breeze and the one simply follows the instructions. Just remember to buy a USB cable, as it states on the outside of the box - I failed to see that and needed to get one before I could continue/complete the setup.

Great all-in-one for the price

Strengths: Automatic sheet feeding for scanner/fax, fast printing speeds

Weakness: Somewhat slow scanning speed. Paper tray and output trays seem a bit flimsy.

HP makes really good printers and this is another in their Officejet line. The all-in-one really does handle everything you need for a home office. I especially like the multi-sheet feeding ability of the scanner and fax. The printer speed is also very fast, as well as being HQ. The unit also has a pretty small footprint.

HP 5610

Strengths: Print, Scan and Fax from one machine.

Weakness: Requires a special ink cartridge for color photo printing which I have not tried yet.

I have recently purchased this unit to replace an older HP1510 which died a few weeks ago. I use it with my 800mh G4 iMac in my small business.

Printing and scanning are very impressive and quick. I like the flat bed for scan and copy functions with feed option for fax. The software included works well and is very easy to use. This is a really nice low cost machine for a small office or home.

Great easy to use ALL IN ONE!

Strengths: Color scanning, faxing and copying. Software excellent for Mac and PC. Resolution very good on all. Love the adjustable scan preview!

Weakness: Can't find any!

This is our third "all in one," and this one is definitely the best and easiest to use. The scanning software is very useful and allows you to adjust any issues in the preview before you do the full scan. Product is easy to use. Have used scanner, printer and fax and all work well, definitely recommend, priced reasonably for everything it does!

OfficeJet 5610 Excellent All-in-One Printer for the...

Strengths: Easy setup. Delivers as promised.

Weakness: Have not found any yet.

I was a little wary that an all-in-one had to be lacking in some category, i.e. printer, copier, scanner or fax. Haven't tried the scanner or fax yet but the printer and copier quality and speed are very acceptable. Set up was easy and fast. Had a problem with a squeak during printing that resulted in a call to HP Customer Support. The problem could not be resolved. Much to HP's credit, after 30 minutes of trouble shooting, they offered to ship me a new printer. Even with the squeaky start, I would still recommend the printer. Additionally, the seller's website was user friendly. Delivery and price were as promised. I would not hesitate to buy from them again.

Officejet 5610

Strengths: All-in-one, good price, easy to setup. Print and copy is faster.

Weakness: Not found yet

I had a HP officejet 5110 which was dead a few days ago. I compared lot of models and reviews to get this new all-in-one multifunction printer. It looks good, saves space, and is easy to install and use.

I don't have chance to use FAX and Scan function yet.

Office Jet 5610

Strengths: It is a great size printer. It is easy to switch from black to photo cartridge. Great quality. It was a snap to set up, even the fax, everything was menu driven.

Weakness: It is a noisy printer.

I haven't used the full extent of the printer yet, but it is a great step up from my last HP printer. I recommend this printer for a great mid level printer. You can also use the older style cartridges from your old printer if you bought extra, 56/58.

Versatile All-In-One

Strengths: All in one saves desk space. Automatic doc feeder aids in unattended scanning. Adequate OCR tool provided.

Weakness: Slow scanning. No scan to memory, computer needs to be on while scanning. Noisy startup. Low capacity ink cartridges might require frequent refilling.

I've been using this all-in-one for a couple of weeks and so far I'm satisified with the device. Compared to the HP 920c printer that I've been using so far this one is very noisy. Also, the ink tanks hold very little ink and so might require constant refilling.
I wish the scanner had a "scan-to-memory" function so I would not have to turn on the computer while scanning.
The on board LCD screen helps quite a bit with the printer/fax/scan/copy functionality.

HP 5610

Strengths: Print, Fax, Copy, Scan, Price

Weakness: Seems a little fragile

I picked up a HP 5610 over the weekend and am pretty happy with it so far. Had a 7110 that died and this is pretty comparable for much less money. The scan lid and paper tray seem to be a little fragile to me, need to handle them with care. For home printing the color works great and the speed is good. Copying is easy and the quality is good. You need a seperate cartridge for pictures and I havent bought that yet. This is a good buy for the price for the home user.

Bad HP Software

Strengths: multi function, when it works

Weakness: after 2 years, it has worked half the time

HP has the worst printer software and service in the business, and it keeps going downhill. This machine does not install easily, or consistently, and even with XP is not stable in operation. I have spent hours and hours trying to fix, restart, re-install and the chat help has been worthless, as are the user forums that don't seem to be honest about the issues. I have three of their printers, and i am not sure which is the worst; doesn't matter because none of them are worth the hassle. I will not buy another HP product ever.

HP5610 Printer review

Strengths: It is inexpensive and small, and it prints well.Got it for 90 bucks and with that amount a good printer value

Weakness: The HP 5610 uses expensive ink; has poor scan quality; prints slowly; has no PictBridge port or memory-card readers.

The HP OfficeJet 5610 is affordable and provides most of the home-office basics, but it doesn't stand out from the crowd of better-equipped multifunctions . Till now the experienced with the printer is good and hope it will not go bad as I have other HP printers and they are working good for 2 years
