Cool little webcam

Strengths: good image quality. built-in audio.

My 4 year old logitech pro 3000 finally stopped working. So I bought this webcam from Amazon.com. As with my old logitech webcam, it has very good image quality. I like that it has built in audio. It also looks cook on my 19inch LCD monitor. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase though it is a little expensive for a webcam.

Great Webcam!

Strengths: The clarity is great, it has a wide field of view, takes great pictures and video.

Weakness: Not real clear when used in low lighting, but then again most webcams don't do that well either.

I have owned my webcam for almost a year now. Have had absolutely no problems with it. I tried a few others before getting this one, and they don't compare. I like the size of the area that the camera covers. Other webcams only have a small field of view where you pretty much can only see a person's face sitting in front of it. This one, I can see almost my entire bedroom in it. It takes clear photos and video. It is really a great webcam and other people have commented on how clear it is. Don't waste your time looking for a deal on a cheaper one, get this one it is definitely worth the money.

Good Little Web Cam

Strengths: Great picture.

Weakness: Echo cancellation can be an annoyance.

The installation of the camera was very easy and straight forward. Although I had previous read of someone's difficulty in integrating with Yahoo IM, I had no problems at all. The picture quality was surprisingly good. Prior to this, I had been using my digital video camera as a web cam and I could not discern a noticeable difference in picture quality. The echo cancellation is causing an aggravating static noise at the beginning of every incoming sound, but I think this can be resolved with some adjustment. The size of the camera is appealing and the "hook" for LCD monitors works well. All in all a good buy.

Perfect Web Cam

Strengths: Echo cancellation. Wide angle video. Small size. Flexible attachment for both desktop flat panel displays as well as for notebooks. Softer image.

Weakness: None really unless you would prefer a less soft image. If you have an older computer with USB 1.1 ports this camera will produce a lower grade image.

This is a great little web cam. Previously I owned a Logitech Pro 4000 which was also a great cam. The Pro 4000 uses a CCD sensor while the Fusion is CMOS. The difference being that the Pro 4000 produces a very sharp video while the Fusion produces a very clear video with a softer image. Frankly, I enjoy the softer image on the Fusion, it really is a matter of personal preference.

In addition the Fusion has a wide angle lens which allows groups of people to be seen in the field of vision as opposed to focusing in on just one person as with the Pro 4000.

The Pro 4000 has a built in microphone but it not usable due to severe echo. The new Fusion also has a built in microphone with echo cancellation and thus is very clear with zero echo.

The Fusion also various avatars and image enhancements which you may use for fun. For instance, you can replace the video stream with a talking shark which will speak as you speak. This is a great feature for kids.

The rubber base is bendable and fits perfectly on a desktop flat panel monitor as well as a notebook making this a perfect web cam to simply unplug and take along with your notebook.

Be sure to use this web cam with a USB 2.0 port for best results.

I highly recommend this web cam.

Great Cam

Strengths: Compact, great for flat screens. Great picture and built in mic seems to work well on receiving end.

Weakness: A little on the pricey side. The cord is a little cumbersome and non maneuverable when placing on the screen.

This is perfect for web chatting and picks up sound very well from the built in mic. Users on the other side of internet calls indicate we come in loud and clear. Great feature to calibrate the video.

Recommended.

Strengths: Aesthetics, video and audio quality.

Weakness: Adjustability to different monitors. Some parts missing!

Overall besides some weaknesses I'll go over later, this is still one of the best (if not the best) cam on the market. The video and audio quality are just amazing. The styling of the product is also very nice and gets away from the eyeballs in a teacup design. Only issues I've had with the camera is the mounting piece could of been a bit better designed to fit on different monitors. It has a bit of a difficult time (but manages) fitting on the very slim Apple Cinema Display. Biggest gripe was that the privacy shade was missing and Logitech technical support was near useless. They didn't even know the camera should come with one and when they were convinced it actually should, they just threw their hands up in the air. Sales instead went out of their way to find one, so if you run into the same situation just avoid "tech support" all together.

The greatest webcam I ever used.

Strengths: 1.3MP pixels. True USB2.0 support.

Weakness: None so far.

This is the 3rd logitech webcam I used. I always have great experience with logitech products. This baby comes with true 1.3MP pixel with true USB2.0 support. The CCD sensor makes both the photo and the video amazing. Plus logitech's Right Color and Right Sound technology, you can't go wrong with it. Highly recommend!

Well Worth it

Strengths: Fits on computer screen well, easy to adjust, quality images, easy connection

Weakness: A little slow when transferring image to person on the other side. Less then frequent stops in imaging.

The camera overall is a excellent deal, it's affordable and perfect for people who need to communicate overseas. It's very easy to connect to any computer and very fun to use. Highly recommended for anyone trying to keep in touch.

this is the best web cam money can buy

Strengths: slick design, excellent resolution, built-in microphone is actually usable

Weakness: may not rest comfortably on all monitors, a little expensive but you get what you pay for!

I had been waiting for this camera since it was announced several months ago. I had the previous best camera that Logitech made, the QuickCam 4000 Pro and I thought that was pretty good but this is a big step up in image quality. Its closer to the Apple iSight which as many know is a very good camera. The drivers installed easily although I decided not to load all the 'extras' that Logitech bundles and just use the basic drivers. Very impressed with the image quality and the microphone is very clear I have used it with Skype and people say I sound like I'm right there. So overall I give this a thumbs up although I will admit the price was a little steep but hopefully it will last a couple of years.

nice cam

Strengths: excellent picture, havent tested the sound, the face tracking is a little odd, but kind of fun as well

Weakness: little on the large size, the product picture is deceptive

originally thought this to be smaller than it is, the base is formable so it fits different monitors, the picture quality and color is excellent, would purchase again if needed, also includes an attached lens cover

Logitech QuickCam Fusion Webcam

Strengths: Great quality video and sound, easy setup

Weakness: None so far

After doing quite a bit of research, this webcam is the one I chose. I received it yesterday, set it up in about 5 - 10 minutes, and tested a variety of its functionality. I'm very happy with the quality of the video and sound, as well as how the camera sits securely on my desktop monitor. It cost a bit more than many other webcams, but my feeling is that you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

The best webcam up to date

Strengths: Good quality image and nice installment

Weakness: Not very stable standing on my LCD monitor and a little complicated additional feature.

I like this webcam as its image quality, multiple features, and space saving design. But when I put at the top my Dell LCD monitor, it is not very stable. I somehow a littl worry about that. Meanwhile, I still need more time to learn how to use the additional feature the webcam provides though is not so easay. Of course, the webcam could provide the better quality at night than my previous webcam. I like it. A good present for myself.

QuickCam Fusion Webcam

Strengths: Compact, high quality video, easy installation

Weakness: Clamp is not easy to attach, and does not swivel, so getting the best positioning is clumsy.

I purchased this webcam so I could communicate with my family in out of state, 2000 miles away. Seeing members of my family while we chat using MSN messenger is such a great experience. I would recommend this webcam to my friends. The price is a bit on the high side though.

I am new to webcams and as a result the Logitech QuickCam Fusion is the first one I have ever purchased or used. I am extremely impressed with both the image and audio quality that it produces, as well as with its compact and convenient design. I would highly recommend it.

Logitech Quickcam Fusion Webcam

Strengths: Easy to install; intuitive to use; fun downloads

Weakness: Doesn't grip/stabilize on extremely slim monitors....clearly not the best choice for laptops

This was my first experience installing and using a webcam, and it was very simple and intuitive. The additional characters and cartoon accessories available for download are a lot of fun and will keep the kids entertained.

Logitch Quick Cam Fusion Webcam

Strengths: Only acceptable for composing video emails. Sound will work O.K. when doing this.

Weakness: Sound only works for composing video emails. Completely garbled otherwise. The camera freezes on a regular basis.

We bought two of these so we could see & talk to our adult son who lives in CA. Unfortunately, the camera's on each end freeze up for 20-60 seconds rather frequently and sometimes we have to reboot the computer to correct the freeze. The sound is absolutely useless so when we can get the camera to work, we talk on our cell phones and watch the screen. We have tried both Yahoo Messenger and Windows Live Messenger. Yahoo will hardly work at all. Windows Live Messenger works erratically but I'm not sure that the problem is with the program or the camera's. Both of us have high speed internet (cable-5meg) service so speed is not the culprit.
