Logitech Noise cancellation headphones, excellent...

Strengths: excellent noise cancellation, design, high quality carrying case

Weakness: none

I've gone through noise cancellation headphones from Sony, Creative, Panasonic, and the almighty Bose QC2. I believe Logitech has a potential winner with their new noise cancellation headhphones. It's noise cancellation feature is excellent, almost as good as Bose, if not same, at 1/3 of the cost! It's performs far better than Creative, Sony, and Panasonic models. As soon as you turn it on, the noise cancellation gradually starts to suppress noise and start to feel a bit of pressure on your ears (typical of noise cancelling headphones) to near silence. It works well on noisy computer environment, vacuum cleaner, air plane, and when mowing the lawn.

The best headphone I have ever used

Strengths: Excellent noise canceling function, decent sound quality, detachable headphone cable, stylish design

Weakness: Sometimes the switch of noise cancellation is not easy to reach.

Title says all. This is the best headphone I have ever used. Logitech always provides quality products. The noise cancellation function is excellent. We you turn it on, sometimes you can even feel you fall into a pit because of the sudden vanishment of ambient noise. Now I use it everyday when I am in my office. The sound quality is good, but I have no idea how it is when compared with Bose products. The headphone is stylish and it is also comfortable to wear. Also, the cable is detachable, which means that you can just use the noise cancellation function but do not have to be hooked on a mp3 or compute. Overall, 5 five points and highly recommended.

Logitech Noise Canceling Headphones

Strengths: VERY lightweight. The headphones are very comfortable and easy to wear. Clear blue light on the left earphone tells you if the noise canceling is on. Bass quality on this is pretty good.

Weakness: Adjustable volume on the side would be nice, but would probably add to the weight.

I got these for 50 dollars and could not be happier for this price. The noise cancellation is excellent. I live in a noisy college dormitory with 2 other roommates, and this tunes them out most of the time. The case it comes with is an added bonus. (Compartment for a spare AAA battery and an airplane headjack adapter. What's also nice is the cord to connect the headphones to audio is removable off the headset. Even the manual suggests to use it just to tune out distracting noises in the background. A microphone is NOT included, if anyone was wondering.

Logitech Noise Canceling Headphones

Strengths: These headphones are very comfortable light weight and easy to wear. The noise canceling feature works surprisingly well. As far as overall playback quality these headphones are equally impressive.

Weakness: The construction quality appears to be ok. If you are very careful these might last a long time. The case is very nice and should protect if used properly.

I am very happy with my purchase, especially for the price. The cord is a dream come true. It detaches from the head set and could be replaced if damaged. Music sounds very rich and crisp but an underlying tone is noticeable when the noise canceling function is activated. I look forward to using these on my next flight, they have performed great around the house so far. I would recommend this product.

Recommended.

Strengths: Professional design, nice case, overall gives the impression of a high end product.

Weakness: Appears a bit sensitive to noise on some systems, maybe not the headphones fault though.

When you open up the package you feel that you've paid for quality. At 1/3 the price of the similar Bose system, you do feel you get your money's worth as well. The case that comes with the headphones is nice quality as well. The noise canceling works fine and takes out most any monotone sounds. Of course don't expect it to remove the voices of loud colleagues at work. :-) The only downside has been using them on a particular Dell at work, it seems to pick up some interference when plugged into the front of the computer. Using them with iPods etc. is perfect though, so probably it is an issue with the computer headphone jack.

* Follow-up. Yes, the plastic is cheap, these fell apart way to easily. Use a lot of batteries too, and the noise canceling is iffy at best. Next time I'm buying Bose...

Best Noise Canceling Headphone For The Money

Strengths: Costs only $100 compared to the $300+ Bose headset

Weakness: None

I've tried the overpriced Bose, Maxell, Panasonic noise canceling headsets and finally found the headset I was looking for. Bose is obviously extremely overpriced but does the job. Maxell & Panasonic did not cancel the noise to my liking. But the Logitech cancelled as much noise as the Bose and the sound quality is very good. I used the headset last week on a propeller aircraft and it was extremely impressive. You can't go wrong with these headsets. If you shop around carefully you can get these for just $100.

Nice Sound, Crappy Plastic

Strengths: These things sounded pretty good while I had 'em.

Weakness: Never could get a good seal around my ears, there was always a gap somewhere. Apparently pretty shoddy manufacturing

I bought these 3 months ago because I travel quite a bit and absolutely hated the "over ear" headphones which I currently owned. Anyways, I was happy with them until I opened my case and saw them broken. Mind you the case itself wasn't undergoing any harsh conditions which should have led to such a site.

Where the earcup swivels, there is apparently only a thin piece of plastic holding everything together. Quite fankly If I pay this much for a pair of earphones, I expect the damn things to last more than two months. I dont know, maybe use METAL for the weak joints rather than 2mm of plastic?

On a side note, the Sony Over-Ears are made like a champ and still tickin (I didnt hate them because of any quality defects, they just hurt my ears- actually I would say their sound cancelling was better).

Logitech Noise Canceling Headphones

Strengths: Excellent sound, and noise canceling

Weakness: Weak plastic used in construction

With or without sound source the noise canceling works great. It was very interesting to note how much background noise is in the office environment where I work. The sound quality is excellent, and a lower volume setting is all that's needed.

Logitech Noise Cancelling Headphone

Strengths: Cancelling noise up to 22db at 260 Hz and 18db at 500Hz; comfortable to wear; removable cord; long battery life; decent sound quality; sleek carrying case included.

Weakness: Cancelling noise only up to 8.5db at 100Hz.

The Logitech Noise Cancelling Headphone is comparable to the top of the line brand B noise cancelling headphone but without a high price tag. For about one fifth the price of the brand B, its performance is superb. I have used three other brands of noise cancelling headphone including brand A, brand C and brand T, and found out that the Logitech headphone is the best in noise cancellation up to 22db at 260Hz. Its sound quality is decent for music listening and movie watching. Despite its large size, it has the same design of the leading brand B to be folded flat and stored in the included high quality carrying case. I really like the removable cord feature to eliminate any dangling wire when it is not connected to any sound system. Highly recommended.

Logitech Noise Canceling Headphones

Strengths: Wonderful sound, can walk around the house and still listen to a program or movie.

Weakness: Fairly large

I really enjoy these headphones and they have great sound quality. Works nice for me because my husband can be in bed and I can still listen to my TV programs and/or movies without disturbing him. Would highly recommend these wireless headphones.

Great and cheaper alternative to the more expensive...

Strengths: Noise cancelling feature works nicely. Great sound. Headphones fit nicely, as opposed to some here that have mentioned a tightness. Seems to work nearly as well, or AS well as the higher priced Bose.

Weakness: none, so far.

Bought 2 sets from tigerdirect.com for $39.99 each. Excellent price for a seemingly excellent product. Bought them as xmas gifts for the parents because they mentioned that it was difficult to hear the audio on the portable dvd player they use. So far my parents love them and they work fantasticly.

Pretty Good for the money, could be more comfortable

Strengths: Well-made, good design, organized carrying case, good price point

Weakness: Get a bit tight after about 2-3 hours, no volume adjustment

I bought these after having first tried a no-name brand of noise canceling headphones just to see how the technology worked. The no-names were pretty good in knocking out airplane noise but after 2-3 trips they broke down. So I wanted a better pair but don't travel often enough to justify a $300 Bose pair. The Logitech seemed like a good level, and finding them on sale at Tiger Direct for $39.95 made it easier.

When I received them, I was impressed with the quality of the packaging, the organization of the carrying case to protect it and the components, and the quality of the headphones themselves. I liked that the wire to the headphone was detachable, so if anything happened to it, it wouldn't require throwing out the whole thing.

I used them on a flight recently and here's what I found:

The noise reduction was good, and did a good job of masking the airplane jet roar. I was able to listen to music and watch the movie more comfortably. When I tried to adjust volume to see if I could increase the white noise to mask the sound, I saw no volume adjustment (although I'm not sure this is a feature on most noise-canceling headphones).

These are over-the-ear style, and initially felt fine. About 2-3 hours into the flight, though, I started to feel a little tired of the pressure of the headphones on my head -- although you can adjust the overall size of the headband, you can't adjust the tension at the sides. It was never painful or uncomfortable to the point I had to take them off, just to the point where I wanted to try and pull the sides out so they would be just a bit looser.

Overall, I'd say these are made well and are a good buy. They do the job, but for a long flight, I'd probably want to get a pair that's a bit more comfortable to wear.

Good Design, Poor Audio

Strengths: Detachable cord! Comfortable, over-ear pads. Light weight. Convenient battery compartment.

Weakness: Poor dynamic range. Audio is weak and easily over-driven—especially with NC turned on. Quiet, high frequency hiss with NC on. Rather flimsy plastic. Doesn't filter out treble frequencies (voices).

I like some of the design features; the over-the-ear design is far more comfortable than on-ear headphones. With noise canceling (NC) turned on, the audio input is amplified, tinny, bass-heavy, but tolerable. NC effectively cancels the AC hiss in my room. I prefer my in-ear buds for their dynamic range and superior noise suppression. I only use these headphones when my ear canal tires of the inserts.

Logitech noise canceling headphone

Strengths: Noise canceling function, good sound quility

Weakness: Couldn't eliminate speach

Well, for the good price with the function of noise canceling and good sound quality. What else I can expect? Maybe it's not as good as Bose, but it's enough to me, I would recommend this to you.

Not Bad

Strengths: Comfortable

Weakness: Features

These are a good deal for the $60 I paid, however they do not compare to other models in the +$100 range. I purchased these to replace a pair of Sharper Image FJ453's that I left on a plane a few weeks ago... The Sharper Images headphones had much better sound and noise cancellation however they were not as comfortable as these are-- also the Sharper Image pair cost $100-$150. One key feature that the Logitech headphones are missing is the ability to adjust volume within the headphones themselves. Also they feel rather flimsy but are much lighter weight which makes them more comfortable. Overall they are not bad and MUCH better than other models at the

Logitech - OK Noise cancellation headphones

Strengths: Comfort, look and fill, sound, noice canceling level is pretty good, battery life, case

Weakness: At a times noice canceling produces annoing very low frequency

Most comfort headphones I ever had. Seats around ears, but overall size is pretty small. Sounds pretty good, highs and lows.
I used it on work in the ofice, and deffinitely help me to concentrate. Reduce background noice very effective, and even some of the voices. Allows me adjust volume very low, and not be disturbed.
Although, at a time they produces annoing very low frequency, low level noice, that forces me to switch off the noice canceling. I guess it is because components of enviroment noice is resonating with the system.
You can use it without noice canceling too. Isolation of the padding is pretty strong. Note that without noice canceling they are not very loud, and I used max volume on Sony-Ericson wolkman to get the sound I wanted
