Excellent CardStrengths: Fastest card on the market. Crossfire will make it even better. Very easy to install. Great drivers. Weakness: Expensive. Takes up two PCI slots. Power hungry. Very nice card, fastest thing you can buy (though this might be changing with the new cards coming to the market right now). I can only imagine how great it would be in Crossfire. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI Radeon X1900XTX Graphics CardStrengths: Everything, is an amazing card. However, didn't write this review for it's strengths because it has a lot. Weakness: After purchase I noticed that this card needs a different adapter to be able to plug into the 450W power source if you don't have it with your case. The adapter is a 12V 6 pin square power adapter and the only place I found it for sale was ATI for $12.99 plus S&H. That sort of sucked. 100% of readers found this review helpful. ATI Radeon X1900 XTXStrengths: Dual DVI, Crossfire capable, 512 GDDR3 1.5 GHz memory, Core speed 650 MHz; supports up to 2560 x 1600 resolution Weakness: Takes up 2 slots, requires a min 450W 30 amp 12 volt rail power supply & 550W for crossfire, PRICE I just rebuilt my system with the Radeon X1900 XTX card, an Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard, an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Dual Core Processor, 1 GIG of Kingston HyperX memory (yes I know, it’s a little light, but I plan to add more when I recover from the cash outlay for these parts) and a Western Digital Caviar 250 GIG SATA II hard drive. What can I say but WOW! Sit back and get ready to dive into your games. The graphics are amazing and not a flicker to find and this is right out of the box without any tweaking. If you game every waking moment, start saving up those dollars, because this card rocks. Oh by the way, keep in mind if you want crossfire, you need two of these babies, ouch!

May 20, 2006 Almost sounds like my setup. I have the Corsair 3500LL Pro ram though, 2 gigs, and two 160gig Caviars in a Raid-0. Right now though I'm using a 7800GT CO SE card from eVGA. I might drop two of these puppies in eventually though and switch my GeForce over to 64 bit micro atx lan system...damn these things are expensive.

Jul 23, 2006 why would you pair an sli board with an ati card?

The best single card solutionStrengths: Blazing fast, easy to install, blazing fast, blazing fast Weakness: Price The price on this card is outrageous, but it is FAST. I put this into a system with Pentium D 975 Extreme Edition, Intel Bad Axe motherboard, 2 gigs corsair XMS DDR2 and it just flies. One of these cards is nearly as fast as my dual 7800 GTX SLI setup. Buy this card if you have a Crossfire capable motherboard. I am saving the money to buy the Crossfire Edition X1900 XT in a few months. 89% of readers found this review helpful. ATI Radeon X1900 xtx is greatStrengths: 512mb ddr-3, Fastest card available, Great perfomance in FEAR and many other games Weakness: Requires 2 pci slot, ATI control center isn't that great This is the fastest single card solution available at this time. Peforms better than the 7800gtx 512 in shader intensive games, i.e. FEAR. The card will run the new elderscroll: oblivion flawlessly. The developers recommend the 1900 series. Be sure to have a good power supply when using this card. 65% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Apr 20, 2006 Should make note that they also recommend geForce cards for Oblivion...top of the line cards from ATI AND Nvidia are recommended...but you can also buy two older cards for SLI or Crossfire and run any of today's games (2006) just fine.

ATI Radeon 1900XTX the extreme graphics performanceStrengths: - 48 Pineline - The most highest performance of Graphic Processor Unit - Higher quality of display There is no doubt for ATI Radeon 1900XTX. It is the most fastest graphic card for this year not only processor speed it is providing also higher qaulity of graphic display and video display. 1900XTX is a perfect video card that existed in the current market. 54% of readers found this review helpful. ATI Radeon X1900XTX from Dell SBStrengths: Arguably provides the best performance (roughly tied with the 7900GTX) and image quality. Stock cooler exhausts heat out of the case. Perfect for future shader heavy games. Weakness: Power consumed and heat generated compared to cooler running 7900GT/GTX. Upgraded the system from a Connect3D X800GTO. The performance difference is immediately noticeable - NFS:Most Wanted ran butter smooth with all settings maxed at 1280x1024, Black & White 2 is a dream and FEAR no longer hitches. Despite the high price of entry, you definitely will not regret gaming at the cutting edge with this card! :) 50% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

FASTEST CARD ON THE MARKET!!!Strengths: Can play any game you throw at it... high res, features turned up. Much better drivers and software than nvidia... better 1080p support and resolution-handling Weakness: Draws more power than nvidia cards ~ 450W recommended for single and 550W for crossfire (though 375W is all you really need for one card at stock, but if you overclock it will be more). Had a 6800, tried a 7900GS and ended up with this and very happy for it. Works like a charm. I never have any problems with it. Nvidia would lose resolutions when I tried to use it for HDTV or use custom resolutions. This does not, nor will it distort afterwards or pan & scan until you uninstall and reinstall nvidia's drivers. Catalyst is much, much better. Oh, and it can play Oblivion at 1680x1050 Ultrahigh settings w/largest textures and no slowdown :). 50% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Perfect CardStrengths: great performance on all current games, high HDTV processing speed Weakness: run hot , fun is noisy This the greatest card in my opinion. All games run on it without any problem and any lose of frame. It is the best card I ever have and i am very satisfied with it. The dual DVI output is very useful to connect to two LCD. The drawback of this little boy is the heat when running. It is easily to run hot and seems that the performance of original fun is not good enough to keep core cool. It would be better to change the original fun to third-party product. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Awesome Graphics Card at the Right PriceStrengths: Fully supports directX 9 features Crossfire multi-gpu capable Weakness: No games/bonus software included I have been totally satisfied with the x1900xtx. I play games such as Half-life 2, Battlefield 2, and Fear. I can play them now at 1280 x 1024 resolution, 6x AA and 8x AF. The framerates and detail even in Fear blow the console machines away. I am even protected in the future since I can add a x1900 crossfire card to increase framerates and quality even more. Highly recommended card! Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Ever since i got it when i go to play the game it minimizes every 5 seconds or so and has a graphics error that says it keeps changing my graphics settings. and we tried to fix it by installing direct x 9.0c and that gave us a new error that says we don't have direct x 9.0c everytime i start it up. i looked threw somethings and the help on Sims 2 says it's not available. I'm having alot of trouble and would really appreciate some help here thanks Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

GREAT card!!!Strengths: super fast video card, great for all gaming needs Weakness: loud fan at startup, no other weakness Fastest single GPU video card on the market, great for all the latest games. I love this video card, it is the fastest card on the planet. Though, the $$ spent could buy a whole new computer from DELL which is what I am replacing. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Hot and FastStrengths: Fast fast fast. Weakness: Expensive. Hot and power hungry. Until recently, this was ATI's top of the line, and you can see why when you run games on this thing. Amazing FPS, and runs basically anything you throw at it. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Get more for less...Strengths: Great performance, decent price, and runs fairly cool. Weakness: Nothing I play a lot of first person shooters and this card is great. My current system: Intel Core 2 duo (e6600), Asus motherboard, 2 gb Corsair XMS2 memory, and a Seagate 7200 rpm hard drive. With this card I can crank up the graphics all the way on the highest resolution and I am averaging 100 fps on Battlefield 2 which is capped at 100 fps. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Kickass ProductStrengths: Awesome Performance, Dual Dvi, Almost equal to the nvidia 7950GX2, Crossfire Ready Weakness: Really Loud. They sound like Boeing 747 in your case Installation was easy, YOu need a seprate power connector, Fan is really loud. Excellent Performance. Once kickass product by ATI. Way better than the previous serious X1800. Sli does better than crossfire. ATI needs to work on that Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Best viedo card I've ever hadStrengths: - 512MB ram! - HD + AA at the same time, beat that geforce!!! Weakness: - only 1 year warranty Bought it from shopATI.com, great price fast shipping. This thing runs smoothly on my newly build system. Pentium D 930, Asus P5WD2-E Premium, Corsair XMS DDR2 800 2x1GB, black Aspire x-cruiser case, Raidmax Volcano 630W PSU, Ultra 1500VA UPS, Seagate 300 GB SATA 3GB HD. When you absolutely, positively, have to spend all...Strengths: Top of the line card, overclocks well, runs pretty much every game currently available. Dual DVI is a treat. Weakness: Noisy on startup and when stressed. Expensive. Takes up 2 PCI slots. This card replaced my ATI X300 SE, which was basically like going from a tricycle to an F1 car. Installation was simple, and I was gaming within 15 minutes of the card's delivery to my door. Graphics and gameplay are ridiculously improved. Yes, it's an expensive card but the second it's up and running, you'll know exactly where the money went. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

X1900 XTXStrengths: 512mb, 48 pipeline, superior with games turn your performance all the way up now. Weakness: two slots, 6 pin connection, x1950 is coming out, the card is HUGE I've just replaced this card from the x850 xt, i edit with liquid 6 and really havent seen much improvement, however i may need to format my machine. However, when i play games, you can't ask for more. Rarely see a studder and the performance is all the way up. Overall, very happy and eager to see when if editing performance will raise. ATI's Radeon X1900 XTX Guru3D.com review
Hey friends, can you imagine it? A mere three months after ATI released the Radeon X1800 XT they again release a new high-end product, one that needs to match NVIDIA's GeForce 7800 GTX 512 MB version. The one card to rule them all? This youngest animal from the ATI clan, well beast of a brute actually, has been developed under codename R580 and was due to arrive for a while now actually. <p>... Top

ATI Radeon X1900 XTX And CrossFire: R580 Is Here
ATI's new Radeon X1900 XTX and XT performed very well throughout all of our testing. In the video related tests, ATI's flagship clearly out scored NVIDIA's GeForce 7800 GTX in HQV, and while playing back high-definition video it had slightly lower CPU-utilization as well (please note, CPU utilization will vary depending on the video being played, however). During the game tests, the new Radeon... Top

In November, NVIDIA delivered its smashing blow, pushing ATI off the top platform spot. Today, the X1900 series fires back with 384 million transistors and 48 pixel pipelines. As a result, ATI now walks away with both the single and dual card title belts. Top

A Excelent Gamers Card
Strengths: Amazingly fast in games and everything else, has two dual link DVI output (in-case you want two 30 inch dells, or just two monitors), max resolution 2560X1600, Great price for the perfomance, Avivo
Weakness: Fan can be noisy at times, though usually only at start up and when you overclock and play games. It's power hungry so get a good power supply.
This is the best single card graphics solution ATI has to offer right now and it is selling for around $350 dollars due to Nvidia's new 7900 series pushing down prices. A few months ago this card was going for $500+, so in my opinion if you want a killer graphics card and don't want to spend a fortune than this card is it.
First, I'd like to say if you plan on going crossfire, don't buy this card. Get the x1900 xt and save yourself $100 since in crossfire mode the x1900 xtx will downclock to xt speeds and you won't get any benefit from it anyways (there are no plans for a x1900 xtx crossfire). The card is not only fast in games, but with Avivo playing movies on my computer is incredible now. It's much smoother and the colors are brighter, overall I am very impressed with the quality. The graphics card requires a 6-pin PCI-e power cord so either make sure your powersupply has one or you're going to have to buy one (they don't come in the box). Also, make sure you get a good power supply, especially if you plan to go crossfire because these new high end cards require a lot of power. Finally, it's nice that the fan exhausts outside the case to help keep the temps down inside. Very good card, highly recommended.
