great cooling solution on the cheap....Strengths: price cooling potential quiet Weakness: depending on motherboard, the fan position might not be the best thing The newer version of the old Freezer 64, it still maintains the quietness, cooling potential, and competitive price of around $30. This new version adds a second thick heatpipe, and changes the orientation of the fan so that heat gets blown toward a rear case fan with many standard AMD motherboards (the old Freezer64 often blew it's heat toward the PSU, which can make it ramp up in fan speed and increase noise). 100% of readers found this review helpful. cool and quietStrengths: strong cooler, and not noisy Weakness: isn't any Prior to using this cpu cooler, i had a stock cooler which was running at 4.5k rpm idle and 6k rpm nonidle and was extrememly loud. This cooler in compare is quiet and runs from 2.2k rpm idle to 2.5 rpm nonidle. It is also good for overclocking. I have an AMD 3200+ and over clocked it from 2.0 gh to 2.3 and i get around 36C idle and 38-40C when multitasking and around 43-45 when running my computer to the max. It's been about 3 days of testing it with my computer on the whole day and those are the results i've gotten for observing. This is a great cooler and would recommend it. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Check your fitStrengths: Easy to install; Very Quite. Weakness: Does not fit all mainboards. You may have to measure everything before buying. The fans performs very well. I can't, however, mount the fan facing my exhaust fan at the back as recommended because my memory slot is too close, so the fan hits the first one.. 100% of readers found this review helpful. ACFZP64 Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler RetailStrengths: Quiet - Easy Install - Cool Effective Weakness: Big I replaced AMD Stock Heatsink/Fan with this Arctic Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler on my AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Computer, the temperature dropped down from 45 to 40 load. The installation is very easy; it takes only 2 minutes to install on my ABIT AV8 Motherboard. Moreover, it is very quiet too. I don't even notice the noise at all. I am very happy to order this cooler for my system. Now I don't worry about my system gets overheat. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

GREAT CPU FAN....Strengths: Quiet, very light, easy attachment, comes with a great CPU grease already applied. Weakness: NONE so far If you are looking for above average performance socket 939 fan this one is it. Got mine at New Egg for 25.00 with free shipping. Like I said very quiet. It is easy to change direction of fan, it is designed to blow the heat out through the back chassis fan. Put mine on an ASUS A8N5X with a Athlon X2 3800 and have not seen the temp rise over 38c. Will try to post a pic.

Great silent coolerStrengths: easy installation; quiet operation; cool temperature; light-weight; low price Weakness: none for me. i have an asus a8n-e motherboard and it fits perfectly. u can remove the fan to install more easily. The contact is smaller than the CPU but it's fine. great buy. highly recommended. i will def purchase again for my other computer. 80% of readers found this review helpful. ExcellentStrengths: Better cooling than stock and quieter, too. This was an easy install in a Antec Sonata case with an Epox 8KDA3J motherboard and Sempron 3000+ oc'd to 2.4 mhz. After 5 hours of 100% cpu utilization, the cpu temp is 18C over the internal case temp. The stock cooler would go 32C over. Since the Freezer Pro blows directly toward the rear exhaust fan, the case temp stays a couple of degrees cooler, too. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Arctic cooling is amazingStrengths: whisper quiet and aesthetically appeasing design. helps give the case more dimension and dramatically cooler temps. heat dissipates more quickly and actually keeps the temperature of my room cooler! Weakness: none as of right now, but I will update this review if any issues should arise. Best alternative to water cooling, for a fraction of the price. This is my third great experience with Arctic cooling. I have an Arctic-cooling NV5 on my 6800GT OC and it cooled a so well that I recommended a friend buy one, and installed it for him. Now with both an NV5 and a 64freezer my computer is sooooooooooo quiet.

Arctic Freezer 64 Pro ReviewStrengths: Relatively Quiet. Not as massive as the Thermaltake Big Typhoon. Inexpensive. Weakness: Potentially this can be the most difficult piece of hardware to install. It all depends on your motherboard and motherboard case. I was debating between this and a Zalman CNPS9500 but when I looked at statistics the $30 price hike to get the Zalman wasn't worth it. Prepare yourself physically and mentally before installing this. For me it took well over 30 mins because of rerouting all the cables. A really helpful tip for those looking to buy one is to look on other forums and see what motherboard and motherboard case other people are using with this CPU cooler, and see if they have difficulty or if it isn't even possible to install it. I am using an MSI-7100 (K8N Neo4 Platinum) with an Antec P160W. The distance between the product and my RAM slots is 1-2mm which does concern me. As for the product itself, it does exactly what it says it does. The CPU temp is down from 39C idle to 31C and under a full load from 51C to 38C. Be patient with this thing when installing!!! 60% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Best Price / Performance AvailableStrengths: Performance, Price, lightweight, MTBF Weakness: hmmmmmm... I'm about to order my 3rd one of these as I find them to be the best performance for the $$ out there. These things were GREAT when ZipZoom was getting $29 for them. Now down to $25 shipped on ZipZoom / NewEgg and $23 shipped at SVC they are a FANTASTIC HSF deal. 33% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Very Good HeatsinkStrengths: Awesome cooling, Quiet, Inexpensive Weakness: Wire is a little short for some motherboard This heatsink works very well with my Athlon 64 3700+, and it's very quiet. The problem that it has is a short fan wire - I have a DFI motherboard, and it's a little tight. The top metallic screws are great for wire arrangement. Overall, this is a great heatsink! 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Really CoolStrengths: Amazingly quiet; looks like a giant air conditioner yet fits inside the pc. Weakness: Tiny fingers would help when installing because of the tightness of area. I did NOT need to buy a tube of thermal grease (at $6 -rip off] since the fan unit comes w grease on it's part. The area of the fan is somewhat smaller than the chip but that may not be a problem since the fan and pc are working just fine. I do notice a slight speed in when the pc starts [sort of like heating food in the microwave oven at 20 seconds instead of 22 seconds]. The price at ZipZoomfly was the best price with FREE shipping [ordered 052506] and PriceGrabber offers an additional $5 off for filling out this form [limited time offer]. Finally, MAXIMUMPC magazine gave this item a 9, one of their rare and highest ratings. Other reviews also have amazingly high marks for this Arctic Cool Freezer 64 Pro for AMD 64 chips of many types [NOTE: will NOT work on INTEL chips]. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Nice, but...Strengths: Keeps CPU cool, price is great, but... Weakness: Am I the only one who has had such a (bleeping) time trying to install this sucker? This is a good cooler. Maybe even great because of the price, but what the !@#$%^&* is up with the handles on the bottom that's supposed to "easily fit" into the CPU's "protective brace" (I don't know what the heck it's called). Smart design cools efficiently/effectively for half...Strengths: -cooling on par with hs/fans that cost 2x-3x more -smart fan positioning allow better airflow and larger hs surface area -copper heat pipes and preapplied high quality thermal paste -quiet and cool Weakness: awkward to install if everything else connected to mobo/case and you have large graphics card (like my 7900 gtx), but still easy to install. I usually don't write product reviews, but the AC Freezer 64 Pro deserves my praise and your purchase. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Can't beat it at this priceStrengths: Performs extremely well, is quiet and of high quality. In the $20 range, you can not beat it. It's an awesome replacement for Socket754 stock Fan/HSF combos. Weakness: It's large, I wouldn't try to put that into a medium-to-small case. It's probably a less impressive replacement for Socket 939 or M2 4600+ CPUs which come with a nice heatpipe heatsink already. For $15 you get a cooler that puts to shame the Socket 754 stock cooler. It is much quieter, and cools much better. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Great Product at a Great PriceStrengths: Performance, Price, Quiet and easy to install Weakness: none that I know of I purchased this recently from SVC and I think this is a great product. It comes with grease already installed and was easy to install on my motherboard. It is very quiet and has been working great for me during the past month. It keeps my Athlon 64 3500+ chip nice and cool. I highly recommend this product. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler, High performance-to-price...Strengths: Quiet, Much better than the stock cooler; Easy to install; Cool effective; Weakness: Very big in Size, may be difficult to install in a small case. I replaced the AMD Stock cooler with this Arctic cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler on my AMD Athlon 64 3000+, the temperature drops down about 5 degrees compared to the stock cooler on full load. No change when PC is in idle state. The installation is very easy; it takes about 10 minutes to install on my small ASUS Motherboard. It may be too big for your case. You have to make sure before you order it. The rubber silencers which hold the fan, also dampen the sound which can be useful for all those crazy silence people . It helps the cooler sound like a dead fly. Thumbs up for actic cooling's great product. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ACFZP64 Freezer 64 Pro CPU CoolerStrengths: Quiet Weakness: Bulky I got the second one as it cooled down 5 degree C. Blow the heatsink to the back of case with 120mm case fan pulled out the hot air. Intelligent desin - rubber dampers/screws to fix fan to the heat sink also makes it quiet. Highly recommended. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Cool and Quiet (even after 2 years)Strengths: 5C-7C cooler, 90 degree rotation Weakness: None seen My gains over the stock fan are 5C to 7C. The unit is big but not too heavy. It's considerably quiter than the stock fan on full load and it cools better. The RAMs with activity lights would not fit to the first dual channel slot on an a8ve board with this cooler unless you turn the cooler fan 90 degree which is possible. But then, you'll be blowing heat towards the power supply. This will reduce the efficiency of the cooler. So there seems a trade off exists between the activity lights and better cooling :) For less than $30, this is a silent and efficient cooler to replace your old stock fan. Indicated life expectancy for the unit is 274k hours at 40C, and 137k hrs at 50C. Seemingly every 10C increase halves the life. It has the 6-year manufacturer warranty. Competitive with the Big Typhoon without the Big...Strengths: very quiet!. Inexpensive, can rotate any of 4 directions, included thermal paste is pretty good, cools as good or better than heatsinks by thermaltake or zalman. easy installation. Weakness: a little large, ram doesnt fit in orange slots on DFI board when the fan is exhausting the air towards the rear. This is probably the best heatsink you can get in this price range. Even though this heatsink is considerably cheaper than other highend heatsinks, dont let that fool you. It actually is one of the best heatsinks you can get. Any company can make a heatsink that can disapate heat, but Arctic Cooling is one of few companies that can do that while maintaining noise levels to almost silent. Good Cooler, Good Price
Strengths: Moderate cooler size, fairly quiet, positioned well to remove hot air
At half the price of some of the Zalman coolers I was concerned the arctic wouldn't be up to the job. With this cooler my Athlon 64 3800+ (OC to 2.7) will not hit 50c even after hours of gaming. Of course the temps are always relative to the cooling in your case, and my case has good airflow. I have good temps on air cooling for a very good price, can't ask for more.
