Strengths: Fits and seals pretty well. Good sound quality.

Weakness: When I walk, the wires wiggle and produce noise due to the physical motion. It's not very bothering, though.

This is a decent pair of ear phones for its price. The noise isolation feature works pretty well. Not having to crank the volume all the way up when I commute by subway, I can enjoy music without fearing damage to my hearing. Batteries for my MP3 player last longer as well, since lower volume requires less power. I will never go back to regular ear phones. Noise isolating/canceling ear phones, to me, is the urban way to go.

Fantastic

Strengths: Great sound, fantastic price. Cant beat the quality.

Weakness: None so far

Needed a new set of ear phones for my Creative Vision M. These totally blow away the earphones I previously had. Bass is good, now distortion at the highest wolume setting and even comes with ear buds to fit most ear sizes. Highly recommend.

Best headphone I ever get!

Strengths: Excellent Sound Quality

Weakness: Not yet founded

This is my first time getting in-ear earbud headphone, and its quality is better than other types because this can reduce outside noises and makes you fully enjoy your music world. Also it brings you better sound quality, for example, when I compare this one with iPod original headphone, this one is obivously better than the other. And it also fit in and work for my SonyEricsson W810 cellphone! Wonderful!!

headphone with god quality

Strengths: sound quality, material quality, price

Weakness: N/A

I bought the item in March and have been using it as a primary headphone for daily use. The outcome is pretty satisfied. The sound from the headphone is better than others and the wire is made of good material, other than easy-broken plastic. Another advantage of the headphone is the price. It is cheaper than other products in the same-level. Recommend the item for a portable music device or home pc.

Excellent Sound designed for better Bass

Strengths: Comfort, Bass, sound quality

Weakness: Short Cord, sound isolation

I have two pairs because I liked the first one so much. I've adapted to the shorter cord but I find a longer cord is better in mostly every situation.

Sound isolation is ok in a quiet room but it's not really noise isolation but I assume if you play the bass loud enough it might as well could be.

I use this exclusively to listen pop where there's more bass and the comfort is good. Movement of the cord does product some noise but I don't move it too much. chances are good you won't be disappointed.

Best earphone in this price range

Strengths: Cute and small, good bass

Weakness: bass feels exaggerated

I used to have sony mdr 71 and I liked that. This one surpassed my expectations. The wire feels stronger. Buds are small but comfortable. The sound is rich and full of bass but sometimes the bass overpowers mids and highs. Equalizer becomes handy in this situation. Noise isolation is good. If you are on a budget and can't afford 150-200 bucks for a quality earphone then I would definitely recommend it. However, UE 5Pro remains my favourite.

Quality earphones at a reasonable price

Strengths: Good sound quality, Comfortable, Durable

I started law school a few months back, and about four days in, I realized that studying at the library sans music was pretty lame. Looking to rock out--but low on cash, making an mp3 player out of the question--I opted to pursue the laptop + earphones strategy.

I was planning on picking up a cheapie set in the $10 range, but the strong consensus of positive Internet reviews on the Sennheiser CX-300 earphones persuaded me otherwise. I was a little hesitant to pony up the cash, but just my luck, Amazon put them on sale for $40 and I ordered a set.

After several months of use, I can honestly say that I'm very pleased with these earphones. The sound quality is great--but I'm no audio expert, so I'll leave it at that and let the other reviewers discuss the technical aspects.

Besides the sound quality, two other factors deserve mention: the comfort and the durability. I can use these earphones for hours at a time without feeling any discomfort; I wish I could say the same about reading my textbooks! Sennheiser utilized soft rubber inserts which offer a superior level of comfort in comparison to the hard plastic of cheaper earphones. Very considerate, Sennheiser includes three different sizes of inserts to accommodate ears of different shapes and sizes.

The durability is also quite good, which was nice to discover considering that these earphones do not come with a case. I don't take particularly great care of these headphones; I just wrap them up and toss them into my bag when I'm done using them. Despite my negligence, the earphones remain in "like new" condition; they're free of any substantial signs of wear and tear.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with these earphones. I feel like I made a solid investment by purchasing a quality set of earphones that will last for a long time. They're not cheap, but they're worth the money.

* As a note, these earphones feature the "J style" wire lengths (i.e. one side is longer than the other). I don't mind this; others might.

Great sound.... in fact too good!

Strengths: -Great clarity, you hear every instrument and effect. - Great highs, mids, bass (even without tweaking EQ) - Sound isolation is scary good, considering that isn't why I purchased these headphones. - Very comfortable (more so than the Sony EX71s these

Weakness: -annoying J-style cord -can hear defects in ipod/mp3 music

These are the most accurate, cleanest sounding headphones I've tried yet. They fit well and have great range. But I have 2 major complaints:
1) They are so good, that I can hear my ipod. The ipod makes a buzzing noise that I can on all soft music or on pause. I don't need to hear the defects of my equipment, I just want to listen to music.

2) They are worthless for exercising. I guess it is the nature of an in-ear monitor, but any movement in the cord is translated into sound. Just moving your head while sitting is annoying and transmits a loud rustling sound. These are pretty much only useful while stationary -- but if I am sitting, I would just use speakers!

Great product at around $50

Strengths: Clear sound, reasonable sound isolation, comfort.

Weakness: A little too much bass. Cord doesn't look very sturdy. Does not come with a carrying case.

I got this for $42 shipped.
As for ear canal phones, this pair is very comfortable.

The sound reproduction is great. In fact I can even hear the bow movement on a Yo-yo Ma CD :D I'm sure that Shure and Etyomics would give even better sound but I don't see the need of spending >$100 after I tried this sennheiser. This is, undoubtedly, so much better than the Sony MDR something ear canal phones.
I think this pair of earphones are made for people who like bass a lot. In fact, I find this sometimes annoying for some classical music I listen to, when the bass gets into my head and kills the music, that's personal tatse though.
It does not block out all sound, but isolate enough so that you can listen to your music. (My computer is extremely noisy and I can still listen to my DPA at half volume when I place my head close to the computer fan) If I'm in a very quiet room, I would prefer the sound of Koss KSC-75 to this.

Complaints: The cord doesn't look very sturdy, and too bad it doesn't come with a case.

Nice headphones if the price is right

Strengths: Sound quality, value for the money, aesthetically pleasing

Weakness: Noise from the headphone wires can get annoying

As has been the case with all the Sennheiser products I've used, the sound quality is excellent. The bass is perhaps a little more salient, but not overwhelming by any means. (Make sure you have a good fit in your ear, or the bass is significantly diminished. Sennheiser provides three sizes of fittings to help here.) So far I've found them to be fairly comfortable, although I haven't been using them hours on end.
The headphones do a pretty good job of blocking out outside noise--if I have music at a regular volume I can't usually hear someone talking at a normal volume. Unfortunately the one sound that comes through a little to clearly is the headphone wire moving or rubbing against my shirt. I'm not sure whether this problem is unique to the Sennheiser CX300S or if other in-ear canalphones would have similar issues. However, it makes me think these would not work particularly well when exercising.
Overall I'm fairly pleased with these headphones. However, I got a fairly good deal on them--I don't know if I'd feel that way if I'd paid the full list price ($80). For about half that, though, I think they're a good choice.

CX300

Strengths: in the ear design

Weakness: Everything!

These are TERRIBLE!! I would have expected a better product from Sennheiser! I am going go to go back to the factory headphones rather than use these. These produce absolutely no bass! I will admit if I was listening to talk radio or AM radio maybe this would be a decent product, but the highs are too high and sound cheap and crackly, while on the other end the bass is nonexistent and with any EQ adjustment the bass sounds like you are trying to play bass tones through a treble speaker. I guess that is what I get for $40 headphones! Save up and buy something better!

Great ear buds

Strengths: Great sound, blocks out most everything.

Weakness: Works like an ear plug, takes some getting used to.

Works like a champ. I can't wait to use these on an airplane to get rid of screaming kid noise. Works like an ear plug, you can hear yourself breathing.

Excelent

Easy on the Ears!!!!

Strengths: Package has 3 sizes to choose from to fit your ear the way you prefer.

Weakness: none

Having small ears, I was having a problem with mine fitting. It was so painful I had stopped using my shuffle. Now, with my new headphones, there is no pain and I can once again enjoy my music! I highly recommend!

Great earbuds for iPod

Strengths: Affordable, durable, good at isolating noise from outside environment

Great replacement earbuds for an iPod. I bought these after I realized that the standard earbuds did not fuction well in noisy environments, such as on an airplane. The cord for the right side is longer than the left, so you normally would wear these behind your head.

Review of headphones

Strengths: In ear design is better than other headphones I have tried in the past. Even better than the Bose in ear design. Sound is really great!

Weakness: The right side is made to go around you neck. When I opened it I thought it was a mistake. I don't like it!

I recommend this product to everyone, as long as they are made aware of the longer right side, so they don't think it is a mistake. Another person at my job that has the same kind said they thought so too, then he explained it to me.

Overall pretty good for the money

Strengths: Size, Quality of Cord, Price

Weakness: Bass can be muddled with some music, requires EQ adjustment

Was sick of the Sony in ear headphones cords disentegrating on me so I switched to these and they are entirely decent for the money. Not quite as good sound quality as the Sonys, but at least they dont fall apart. Also, the cord almost never becomes tangled which is wonderful.

Strengths: Great sound, awesome bass, fairly inexpensive

I absolutely love these headphones! For the longest time I was looking for headphones with great sound and earth-shaking bass, but couldn't find them. That was until I purchased Sennheiser CX300S headphones. They have everything I need - very lightweight, great-looking, great-sounding and they don't break a wallet either. One of the best purchases I've ever made, best bang for your buck.
