Main benefit of prepaid cards is no need for credit...Strengths: no credit card needed, easy to give as a gift Weakness: Only 60-day version available as far as I know, not found in all stores The main reason to get this is so you don't have to use a credit card online for gameplay, or, to give as a gift. It's easy to start up or continue play with this card. The instructions for adding the card are at www.worldofwarcraft.com/gamecard. The prepaid card is packaged in a box and includes a trial version inside, so it would also make a great gift for introducing someone to the game. The only weaknesses I can find with this prepaid card is that it's only available in the 60-day version, and that it's not available in all stores. 67% of readers found this review helpful. World of WarCraft 60 day Game Card.Strengths: very good choice for purchasing online gametime, without the hassle or potential problems of using a credit card. Weakness: only offered in 1 format; more options would be a nice feature. The World of WarCraft 60 day Game Card, is a very convenient method to prepay for playing World of WarCraft online. It is a great gift idea for the serious gamer, who either does not have access to a credit card, or prefers not to use one. A nice addition to the 60 day card, might be ones of longer time periods, or even an option for timed usage. The casual gamer may like to have the option of buying set hours of game play; only to be used when actually playing the game. 61% of readers found this review helpful. A good way to pay for WoWStrengths: Avoid getting suckered into the subscription model Weakness: you're still buying 2 months at a time This is a game card, so you're paying in advance for two months of playtime. I think it's a good way to pay for WoW, because you don't have to set up a subscription and forget to cancel it. When your playtime expires, you can buy another game card to just let it expire and retire from the game. The downside is you're buying 2 months in advance, and you don't get any discount for buying multiple months as you would if you paid by credit card. 50% of readers found this review helpful. If you are going to play WoW then use the 60day cardsStrengths: Can be purchased online no tax & Free Shipping :) Cheap entertainment for 60 days only $29.99 Weakness: Can take over your life. I used to allow Blizz to charge my CC, but found I was less cognizent of how much I was spending. I didn't like the suprise in every month's bill. I would rather knowingly make a purchase for $29.99 and not be suprised at the end of the month. 19% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

World of Warcraft - Need I say MoreStrengths: Game cards are easily used, make great gifts for gamers in your family. Can ocassionally find them for less than the online subscription. No credit card required for world of warcraft. Weakness: Only offered in one denomination (60 days) as opposed to subscriptions which are monthly, tri-monthly, or semiannual. Slightly higher price (MSRP) than subscription. This is a good way to play the game without using a credit card and makes for a great gift to that gamer who cant put down world of warcraft. It would be nice to see it offered in more denominations like prepaid cell phone is. Nice to not have to remember to cancel your subscription. 11% of readers found this review helpful. If Blizzard could print money it would look like...Strengths: A better bargain than paying online. Weakness: It's only a card. Buy the game too! It's more advantageous to pick up a WoW 60 day game card than pay through the game itself. First, you won't need to upload your CC to play WoW if you buy a game card and input it during your initial installation and account setup. Secondly, it gives you more control over when you want to start that valuable 60 day gaming period. You can let it run out, take a couple months off, and then put in another 60 days. Not having a reoccuring monthly charge you have to watch carefully. Finally , often you can get these cards at a bargain price through coupons and discounts. Making the monthly fee much cheaper. I've gotten wow cards for as low as $20 for two months. That's a third off the normal fee. 10% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

A great way to pay for a great game!Strengths: The ability to pay cash, the ability to suspend your account, the ability to find sales on the product! Weakness: Slightly inconvenient if you don't go to the store often, might be out of stock when you go. This is a great substitute for paying using a credit card. This way, you can pick it up in store, pay with cash (not EVERYONE has credit cards), and get going in WoW! This is a great item and I highly recommend it! 9% of readers found this review helpful. World of Warcraft 60-Day Pre-Paid Game CardStrengths: Ease of use, Price Weakness: Shipping times compared to subscription Overall a timecard offers more flexibility on when you would like to start a subscription of World of Warcraft, and it is usually a bit cheaper as well. Unfortunately, they only come in the 60 day variety. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

World of Warcraft - 60 Day Game CardStrengths: Can be cheaper than subscription, allows you to take breaks Weakness: N/A These cards are great. A problem that people generally see with WoW is that people play too much. When you purchase a subscription from Blizzard, you pay for 6 months blocks to get the best rate. Game cards, on the other hand, only last 2 months. You can therefore use a card and take a break every couple months. On top of that, if you can get the cards on sale (which happens from time to time), it can be even cheaper. That's why I buy these cards (when they're on sale). 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Great Alternative to Pay If Your Going To PlayStrengths: Good way to acquire game time since you can find these game cards on sale or w/ free shipping online. Good alternative for players in states that are charged tax on top of subscription fees. Weakness: None Game card only requires that you have a WoW account so be sure to pick up the game if you have not. Through the use of a game card, you don't need to keep using your credit card to be charged each month. Makes for a great gift if you have a friend or family member that plays this game. Overall, the real lure for these cards is the potential to save money (buy online, on sale, no tax, free shipping) as these monthly fees can really add up over time. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Can save money.......Strengths: Can save money if u buy the gamecard for >$30. Instead of paying for regular subscription. Weakness: card is a piece of plastic Well, its the most popular MMORPG game. The burning crusade expansion make it alot better funner game than pre-expansion game. Pre-BC game is one of the most strenuous horrible gaming experience ever if going for high-end epic gears. Raiding is so stupid and boring. Endless hours of listening to stupid raid instruction over vent/speakerphone and endless waiting, 100x more horrible than college lectures. After BC this game is lot better, with new pvp arena and eye of storm......So, its lot easier and more ways to get better gears..... 0% of readers found this review helpful. A great alternative to online payments - the 60 day...Strengths: -Card can be found on sale, easy to enter and use, extends game time at a possibly cheaper rate, easier than updating credit card (if found on sale) Weakness: -Effort to find cheap price?, oh wait that's what pricegrabber is for. If you do not want to pay for the usual $15 a month that blizzard has, then find this card on sale and save a few bucks. It takes no time at all to enter, and you save some money on your World of Warcraft time. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

A great convenience.Strengths: Don't have to give Blizzard your CC info (in case you forget to cancel). Cheaper than paying per month. Weakness: None These time cards are a great way to buy your subscription instead of giving your credit card to Blizzard and paying per month. Not only is it cheaper, but it's also potentially safer (since you can purchase at an actual store with cash). I recently stopped playing WoW after just getting my feet wet with it, but I bought one of these cards because I know I'll want back in sooner or later. 0% of readers found this review helpful. World of Warcraft 60 Day Pre-Paid CardStrengths: The game card makes the game work. Weakness: The game card is alittle too expensive. This does save money, under certain circumstances. if you live in states (ex. TX) where blizzard charges you tax. If you order from Blizzard w/ shipping, it's about 31 dollars. Monthly from blizzard for 2 months w/ tax = about 34 dollars. However, the card does not allow you to stop in the between of 2 months of time period. It's your choice. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

WOW 60 Day CardStrengths: Ease of use.No automatic-billing cycles. Weakness: NA Hooks you up with 60 months of gameplay on Blizzard's World of Warcraft servers. This actually comes out to be cheaper than if you subscribe each month. With tax. A nice option if you don't have access to a credit card. 0% of readers found this review helpful. GREATEST MMORPG TO BE FOOLISHLY DESTROYED WEEKLY (BY...
Strengths: This game is totally addictive and "should have been" the last game you'd ever buy:-)
Weakness: Customer Service is a "totally unaccountable, non-existant, rubber stamp joke" and sadly the game designers change the rules/guidelines without reason (or accountability to you) every tuesday??? :-(
I personally had 10 totally Different Characters at once in this game; 5 on the Alliance side(Good Guys) and 5 on the Horde side(Bad Guys)... some all the way up to 45th level!
All of them were months of time devoted to each one, because I played them the hardest way known in this game; totally solo!
This was a passion for me that was crushed little by little with every Tuesday's updates!
Sadly the game changed so much after months of small, arbitrary, haphazard, weekly updates, that some of my favorite high level characters became completely useless!
Even though I had several solid solutions and fixes for the mess that Blizzard made out of this wonderful game, not one single (supposed) customer service rep even read my lengthy requests to communicate with the design teams of these updates!
Why would anyone spend so much time on a game that can and does change randomly on a weekly basis, with no say in it, just shut up and pay??
No matter how much I loved the endless gameplay and creativeness, I can't see paying $15.00 a month additional on-line game fees to the people who are unaccountably fighting our success and passionate efforts every step of the way!
Sorry folks... we all learned as children to walk away from the kids who changed the rules in the middle of the game..... Because Arbitrary Rule Makers Just Aren't Worth Playing With:-(
(I hate saying this but.....)
DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!!
This Game's Support Will "Endlessly Disappoint and Frustrate Any Mature & Intelegant Player"
POCKET YOUR MONEY AND CONSIDER YOURSELF ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES!
