Awesome card

Strengths: Amazing graphics....

Weakness: This card get hot. Be sure you have plenty of air circulation in the case. The card is long, almost too tight for my case. (Antec P180B) Also cost...

This card rocks!! I vowed I would never buy anything ATI after dealing with their customer support for a video card. NVidia is the way to go. Its nice to see all the details of GRAW, and other games.

It sure is a BEAST!!!!

Strengths: Extremely Fast!!!

Weakness: Gets a bit hot. Around 57 C idle and 76 C load. It's around 10 inches long so if you have a mid size computer case it might be a snuggle fit againts one of your hard drives.

I mainly tested this card out with Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. I played it at 1600x1200 with 2xAA & 4xAF (which I thought was good enough at that res...anything higher in AA & AF wasn't worth the very slight improvement but much lower frame rate hit), Trilinear, no Transapency Antialiasing since I didn't really see any difference, & with everything on max settings in the Oblivion video options. I also added mods that improved the details to the game. 2 for example are CaptNKills LOD Mods and Qarls Texture Pack. These 2 mods alone with weaker video cards will definitely cripple your frame rates. So outdoors I was getting around 30 FPS and indoors was about double that. I also need to mention that I had play the game with vertical sync on and triple buffering.

About the snuggle fit againts one of my hard drives, the video card and hard drive power cable are side by side touching eatch other. I would shift my 2 hard drives down but the bottom 3rd slot has no airflow from my 80mm fan and gets way way too warm.

All in all. Really fast card. Definitely a POWERHOUSE. I haven't done any overclocking to the card yet but wasn't sure what's the max temp that is safe for the card. Also I've noticed that after installing nTune (since I have a nforce motherboard) it totally deleted the Temperature Monitor feature. Changing the GPU Fan Speed feature doesn't seem to work also. I hope that with newer drivers release from nVidia will improve the performance.

Besides those minor quarks I'm giving this 5 out of 5. The price was very reasonable since I was planning on getting 2x7900GT and this 7950 GX2 clearly beats it. Plus, the time that I bought the 7950 GX2 it came out much cheaper than 2x7900GT. I hope this review helps out.

One,er, two...fast cards!

Strengths: Blazing framerates, heatsink/fans actually work, beautiful HD images, and bundled with Tomb Raider: Legend. THat's all I can think of for now...lol.

Weakness: Size...it's huge, and heavy.

I love this card. Even though it's lacking in video outputs, it makes up for it with beautiful gaming capabilities. It plays FEAR at 60 fps average, BF2 is in the 80-90's, Tomb Raider: Legend is in the 50's. It can take a little OC'ing, but not much without water cooling. Using a Gigabyte GA-8I945P-G mobo, I lost two SATA ports due to this thing's massive size. Also, I learned that because it so heavy, it's not the kind of video card that should be used with "tool-less" cases. Use the screws...it needs them.

I love this card, and I recommend it to any serious gamer. It also doesn't do too bad with 3D Studio Max either. In any case, it's worth the money!

Huge card Huge Perfomance

Strengths: Fast,Beautiful,Cool and Smooth

Weakness: Expensive,Huge, picky and power Hungry

This Card is huge first of all i have a full tower casing and have a hard time puting this card into my computer.
another thing is this card is very picky about motherboard so make sure you check on the official webpage before buying it i have to do a bios updated and a driver updated to get it to work . other than this two problem this card is fast and furious. game goes really smooth and for two card stick to one another this is a very cool card running at 50f most of time. look around for deal i am sure the price would go down more in the future when ATI come out with ATI X1950 at 399 price range.

XFX GeForce 7950 GX2

With its extreme performance, new driver suite with enhanced PureVideo capabilities, and broad platform compatibility, the GeForce 7950 GX2 is sure to get many hardcore enthusiasts worked up into a frenzy. We can't wait to get a second one in the lab for some Quad-SLI testing. As it stands now, a single GX2, and especially a higher clocked model like XFX's 570M XXX Edition is a very compelling...
