Be careful! The memory might not work on non-DDR2-6400 system. You also need the ability to set Ram Voltage to 2.1V to make it stable. It works better with AMD systems than Core 2 Duo systems.

OCZ 2GB DDR2-800 Memory Kit - OCZ2G8002GK

Strengths: Nice design and the heat spreader is great quality. Runs stable and fast at rated timings.

Weakness: Make sure that your motherboard is compatible.

It may be tricky to make both sticks work. You may have to put one stick in first, boot into BIOS, and set voltage to 2.0v. Only then you can put in the second stick.

Weakness: Incompatible with a motherboards

Was not able to use it because it is incompatible with the Asus M2N series. I'm sure it's fast and they are definitely well priced at many online retailers. Check for compatibility before purchasing. Or wait for updated firmware.

OCZ Gold PC2-6400 KIt

Strengths: Price Heatsink functionality and packaging Runs as advertised

Weakness: None (yet) although I've read about incompatibilities from motherboards due to voltates (this ram requires 2 to 2.2 volts, IIRC instead of 1.7 to 1.8 that many boards provide)

Ordered via Outpost.com on an exceptional deal. Needed to only run at 667MHz (PC-5400) but couldn't pass up on PC-6400 for the same price. Was skeptical due to many reports of motherboard incompatibilities. However, it runs flawlessly in my Asrock 775Dual-VSTA board at 667Mhz at stock voltages. "Might" try to overclock later.

Heatspreader keeps memory cool even to touch (I guess it doesn't hurt sitting in front of the 120mm fan on the Scythe Ninja heatsink either).

OCZ Technology 2GB PC2-6400 DDR2 DIMM Memory Kit

Strengths: relatively cheap compare to other 2GB dual channel memory

Weakness: Incompatible with some motherboards

THis memory is not compatible with the motherboards of my computer, however, it fits my friends computer pretty well. The speed is pretty fast. Plus the price of OCZ 2GB dual channle memory is cheaper than other brand. Excellent choice for memory upgrade. But check the compatibility before purchasing it.

Good quality, excellent price memory

Strengths: No issues with my Asus P5B Deluxe motherboard. Worked right out of the box, very fast.

Weakness: Had to set speed manually to 5-5-5-12, I have doubts about its overclocking capability.

Overall great buy for the price, hope the rebate comes through. This will be an excellent choice for people looking to build a system for Vista. DDR2 memory prices are skyrocketing these days, and this is one of the few low price high quality product.

Great Memory

Strengths: Good overclocker, Excellant heat dissipation, Lifetime warranty, nice looking, low heat, very stable.

Weakness: None, I have no opinion about the company's rebate procedures. I do know I received notification fron the company two weeks after submitting.

I had no problems with my Asus M2N32-SLI MB after installation. Note I also set the speed to 15 which I had read in some reviews. This memory is all you need, do not be afraid to buy because of the price or some reviews. Maybe some of the installers needed some help.

Strengths: good price

Weakness: bad compatibility

I've bought this memory a month ago to use with Intel motherboard DG965WH. MB is claimed as supporting DDR2-800 memory. OCZ also doesn't say about any compatibility issue. But unfortunately those two don't work together as you could expect. After long conversation with both supports I was told that intel provides only 1.8V for the memory while OCZ requires more. (Try to find this on description of any). As result this chip works with my MB only as DDR2-667. Not what I expected.

Super-fast RAM at an affordable price.

Strengths: Fast, able to run 4-5-4-10 at 2.1v

Weakness: Needs 1.9v or better to post at DDR2-800 speeds. Many motherboards default to 1.8v, so you may need another set of RAM to boot the first time, change the default voltage, and then install the OCZ.

I had no problems with this RAM on Aopen, Foxconn and ASUS i975 chipset motherboards. It will also post on motherboards that "only" support DDR2-667 just fine (in my experience).

It's very fast, and overclocks nicely. Just be aware of the potential problems shown above. If there is a REV2 of this RAM available, it will probably have an updated SPD so that motherboards apply the correct voltage automatically.

Weakness: 1) Company has poor Rebate demands.

OCZ has always made a solid line of memory. This set in particular was a matched pair of low latency memory. While not as good as the platinum or titanium editions, the price/performance you get from the gold is everything you could really want and need.

OCZ even warranties you if you cook your ram by overclocking it to 2.1 volts +/- 5%. So go ahead and push the speed limits without too much worry. I went ahead and pushed it to 2.1 volts even though the standard is 2.0.

When you pick this pair up, you'll notice the weight right away. It feels like a solid product with. And the heat just whisks right off of it and cools very fast.

On a bad note... I tried to apply for my rebate... but they only give you like 15 days from the day you order your item to submit your rebate. It's totally retarded. Especially if you order your item online. I got my item 6 days later and then had to pick it up... I think I was 1 day over and they rejected. Poo on you OCZ.

Expensive but speedy

Strengths: Fast RAM; good price point with rebate; nice looking with heat spreaders

Weakness: Expensive - prices rising! ; no auto-speed

I was happy that I bought this RAM when I did (August 2006), as the prices have only risen since then! I think the demand for DDR2 PC2-6400 RAM went up with the introduction of the new Intel Conroe CPUs, so the prices went up. I got this for $150 after rebates, but the current price is much higher. Pretty rare that prices actually go up on computer components! :-) RAM sticks look cool with the heat spreader and they performed great in my ASUS P5WDH motherboard with Intel E6400 CPU. My only knock is that I had to enter the RAM timings manually in the BIOS, as the defaults in the SPD would not give me the best performance.

Great Memory - Worked for me.

Strengths: Fast, high-quality, good priced DDR2 memory. Lifetime Warranty.

Weakness: None, although I admit I had concerns after reading other reviews.

This memory has gotten a bad rap lately, but I decided to try it out because of a good rebate OCZ offered.

I recently put together a new system with an Intel Core 2 duo E6400 chip and Asus P5B Deluxe mobo, and this memory has worked flawlessly without having to adjust the voltage.

Obviously OCZ is well aware of the problems some people were having, so I'm sure they've corrected the problem on all new batches of the chips.

I bought this memeory 2 weeks ago and it works sweetly by now. I ran it for three whole days and it never happened any problem. It has a special gold metal which can take heat away. That's great. I love it very much.

Fast DDR2

Strengths: Great memory - overclocked very well for me - and was very stable, I have 2 of these kits, and they are well worth the money! I've been an OCZ fan for years.

Weakness: The only problems I had was their incompatibility with my Gigabyte DS3. I had to flash the bios to a newer revision, and then it worked fine.

Great product and it was a great value too. OCZ makes some awesome ram and this latest purchase only goes to show how great they really are, The only thing I would change would be compatibility with gigabyte DS3 motherboards!

This is great memory. Worked without any issues. OCZ memory is great memory for OC! This memory is very fast with my system. Definitely would buy again. Highly recommended to all!

Great Value

Strengths: 5-5-5-12 timings at a great price. Best dual channel set I have owned.

Weakness: None so far.

A comprable Corsair memory set would have cost me $50 more. The only thing that really set it apart from other memory brands was its price. (They look pretty cool too.)

OCZ 2GB DDR2 PC2-6400 Special Ops Edition Urban Elite Memory

Tis' the season to upgrade and what better way to take part in the festive spirit than to buy a pair of memory sticks decked out in army camouflage that will most likely be used by someone to go on a massive killing spree in Quake 4. Nothing says Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah like a no-scope head shot from across the map while in mid-air.
