Works as it shouldStrengths: Works perfectly well, easy to install Weakness: Should have been included with the printer This Bluetooth module was fairly easy to install and has performed perfectly well - the computer recognizes the Bluetooth device with no problem. Print range (distance) has never been an issue. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon IP90 Bluetooth AdapterStrengths: Smooth install with no problems. easy to use Weakness: Expensive. There is no reason to me why Canon couldn't have easily made this a part of the printer. I'm very happy I purchased this because it will make it easy and quicker to use my computer when I am with clients. I will be able to pull it out and not have to fumble with any wires. This helps me look professional. I also purchased the battery as well for the same reasons. 88% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon BU-10 Bluetooth AdapterStrengths: Wireless connection. Easy installation Weakness: Short-range distance of signal. The Canon Bluetooth device makes a real traveler the hassle-free worries of connecting wires to a PC, whether laptop, PDA, or desktop. It's easy to install but you would have to reistall the drivers as shown in canon's webpage. Overall, it's a good buy at a reasonable price. 78% of readers found this review helpful. Canon BU-10 Bluetooth AdapterStrengths: Life saver on the road, when combined with the optional LiIon battery pack Weakness: should be standard part of the printer, expensive Very useful when you don't want a rats nest of cables in a portable environment, or when your laptop only has two USB ports you need for other things, or if you want to share the printer between multiple computers w/o using USB switches or setting up network printer sharing. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Virtually worthlessStrengths: ok for a page if you really don't want to travel with the usb cable Weakness: Utility barely exceeds the length of the usb cord; incredibly slow I spent the money on the bluetooth thinking it would make it possible to print from another room and that printing would be as fast as when connected by cable. I guess I was naive; the distance between the printer and the laptop is quite restricted, and the printing is so slow that it's quicker to get the printer and the laptop within cable range and plug them in. I'm very disappointed and feel I wasted my money. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon BU10 Bluetooth AdapterStrengths: Made for the printer Weakness: Expensive Very effective bluetooth receiver made exclusively for the Canon i80, ip90 and ip90v printers. I recently bought a bluetooth enabled notebook and a new Canon ip90v printer. I had a Canon i80 and have now used this adapter with both printers. It fits in a relatively concealed location and does what its job very well. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

BU-10 Bluetooth AdapterStrengths: Easy to install, good connectivity. Weakness: Expensive, should come with printer. This adapter does just what its supposed to. My laptop recognized it right away and it was easy to install. Works well with good connectivity. I have not tried it very far away. However, the adapter is pricey and should come with the printer. Essential Equipment for the Road WarriorStrengths: Bluetooth capability Weakness: Price I bought this mainly for the advantage of having wireless printing , and it performs as it says. Wireless printing has been so convenient and easy especially when you are on the go. Lag time between hitting the print icon and the actual printing is fairly quick. The only negative is the price of one of these adapters at about $75 or so. The Canon IP90 should have had this built in. All in all, this is a great if not essential piece of hardware for the IP90. Canon BU-10 Bluetooth Adapter
Strengths: Awesome wireless component for mobile printing. Easy set-up.
Weakness: Pricey component that should have been built-in to "New" iP90
I tried both the Canon i80 and ip90. I decided on the Canon ip90 and bought the bluetooth adapter to use on a business trip. I love it as much as I love having wifi on my laptop. I can surf and print while in bed.
The adapter installs easily and discretely underneath the tinted cover of the printer. My Powerbook recognized it immediately and BAAAM, I am printing.
My only complaint is that Canon should have included Bluetooth capabilities in the "New" ip90. This adapter is a $75 wireless indulgence (OK, so I won't buy any chocolate for a month).
