Great MP3 player for fitness

Strengths: Easy and intuitive control ring, lightweight, great armband, G sensor, water resistant, nice headphones, great sound quality, FM tuner

Weakness: Obligatory Sonic software

I absolutely love this MP3 player. I use it only in gym and it perfect for this. I love everything: intuitive control ring, different modes (artist, albums, etc), great sound quality, g-sensor for cal/distance calculation, stop watch… I even like headphones. Some people complain that headphones are too big for their ears. I have big ears and headphones are perfect for me. I am not using FM tuner and many other cool features (like selective play list). The only cons I can see in this MP3 is Sonic software that one should use to transfer files. I prefer simple drag and play. But except this, this is a perfect player for me. Last but not the least thing – if you need player for general use and not for fitness, probably better to choose something else, like IPOD.

a good sport MP3 player

Strengths: lightweight, comes with armband and durable

Weakness: crazy sonic stage software

This is a very good MP3 player which you can use when you are running, walking or Hiking. It has very good sound quality which is essential to all music player. it is also very durable, water and shaking resistant, good for using when exercises. it also has a lot of cool features which I have no time to explore yet.

even the hardware is excellent, the software is really bad, don't like it at all.

all in all, a good player, highly recommend

Well designed MP3 player with above average sound...

Strengths: Good designs of controls which are easy to navigate without looking at the mp3 player; sound quality is not the greatest but above average; can get loud; good battery life and recharges quickly

Weakness: SonicStage is a piece of junk software and you have to use it to manage songs. No PCM or lossless format support. 1gb cannot hold many songs at high kbps. warranty sucks (90days)

I got this player for cheap after rebate as my rough-use mp3 player. So far it has given solid performance. It is very easy to navigate the mp3 player without looking at it. It has well placed volume and play/pause buttons. what I like is the "scroll ring/wheel" design that allows you to change songs OR change album OR lock the keys very easily. Sound quality is satisfactory, but as usual Sony tries to thump out more base to make the sound seems fuller...Battery lasts reasonably long (above 6 to 7 hrs playing 320kbps at 2/3 volume) and recharges very quickly.

You have to use sonicstage to manage songs, it is such a bad software that I haven't even bothered to change any songs in my player for half a year. This player Only supports compressed audio formats.

Warranty is only 90days for labor. If your mp3 player breaks in a year, the labor cost for repair will probably be more than the player itself. I would recommend using a credit card that provides an extra year of warranty.

Really nice MP3

Strengths: Cool design, good sound, and arm-band

Weakness: Burky earphone, Sony says they stopped manufacturing, and Connet Music Store (will be closed next year)

I got this one because my IPOD shuffle was broken (about two years and I had been using it only during work out). I'm a big fan of Sony products and did not hesitate when getting this one. So far, I really like it.
The design is cool and I really like the way it looks (and also it's not IPOD). Someone above is not satisfied with the sound quality, but I think it's good comparing IPOD.
The things I'm not satisfied with are: (1) the big earphone which looks not good and does not fit to my ear (I can feel loose when running). So, I'm thinking of getting simple earphone like the one in IPOD. (2) the control panel is not as convenient as push buttons.
The Sony website says they stopped manufacturing this product, so I'm wondering there may be some problem in this product. And, the CONNECT Music Store you can download music to this guy will be closed next year, so you may need to find the way to buy and download new music to this product.

Great Player But......

Strengths: Fast charging, light weight, sporty design, and excellent sound quality.

Weakness: Terrible SonicStage, SonicStage, SonicStage.

I was dreaming of the day I would have this mp3 player in my hands. Once I got it, the SonicStage software used in transferring music to the player, really disappointed me. It is very futile, slow, and confusing. I don't know really why Sony does that to its fans.

Cool mp3 from SONY!

Weakness: Only suit for sports...

This is a cool mp3! I love it, both the desian and the sound quality. Sony brand will give you much confidence in its quality. It is a mp3 suit for sports, which comes with sports band and headphone in its retail package. If you want to use it in other conditions, you need some extra accessaries. Overall, I will recommend it!

LIGHT and DURABLE!!

Weakness: sonice stage software

This is the perfect mp3 player to get while you are working out. It charges fast and is VERY durable. The software to update this could of been better but other than that I highly recommend this mp3 player!

Strengths: Best for sport funs!

This is a great mp3! I like everything of it, the design, the lcd, the sound quality... Best part is the rechargable battery, which only need 3 minutes charge to play 3 hours!!

There are a lot of accesaries including in the package, the sports earphone, arm band, sonicstage software...

I love it.

Great mp3 player

Strengths: Many features, stop watch, calorie counter, sports mode, price arm band.

Weakness: control ring

This is a great mp3 player. It has a multitude of features that i mentioned above in the strengths. It has a super quick charge time. Three minute charge gives you a play time of 3 hours. It comes with an armband, acts as a pedometer and calorie burner. IT is fairly accurate when using the armband that comes with the player. The headphones are good, but some bass is a little weak with them. All in all a nice player.
