it is inexpensive and good.I get a 5.9 score in Vista's experience index. It's quiet, I never notice it. It just works. The size is adequate for me. I've been using it with XP and Vista, multiple partitions, dual booting, playing games, watching movies, etc etc.

Hitachi 500gb SATA

Strengths: Fast, Solid Design, Runs cool,Near Silent, Price per GB.

Weakness: None at the moment

Drives Were installed in a Raid 0 situation adding to 1TB of storage. Windows installed well and pretty quick too. Drives are very fast as well as being almost silent. I can hear my fans over the drives. Cant really tell the difference between this drive and my last WD Raptor, which is a bit faster. Programs , apps and games load nicely,,,can complain for the price and i am sure you wont either.

Strengths: Huge space, Fast speed in both fetching and copying data.

Weakness: Show some sector errors during undelete data recovery.

Since i have bought this hard drive, i really enjoyed the great enhancements added to it. 500 GB let you wont worry about the space anymore. Another thing i really liked about this hard drive its vast speed both in copying data or in running applications. The only cone i have experienced one time is that it failed to recover deleted data in one of the partitions showing an error in reading a sector. However this defect does not show any minor problems in my daily usage. I would rate this product "very good". I would consider it the best product on the street.
