Great camera for a great price!

Strengths: Excellent 10x Optical Zoom! 7.1 mega pixel for great picture quality, clear pictures, hide-a-way flash, easy to use, advanced manual settings for advanced user

Weakness: A little bigger then other pocket cameras, only a 2" LCD screen

Got this camera from Walmart as they did a price match on a Walgreens price ad. The ad stated that any digital Kodak camera would be $99. I took it to Walmart and they matched it. What a wonderful camera. It is very easy to use, yet has all the manual advanced features any expert photgrapher would want. You can change the shutter speed, and many other focusing options. You can also crop your photos right on the camera itself. Has a nice EASYSHARE feature that makes emailing, printing, sharing photos that much easier at a push of 1 button. The picture quality is VERY clear, and beautiful. I great camera... and a heck of a buy for the price that I got it for. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Camera, I'm very happy with it's images

Strengths: Easy to use, Lots of creative settings, more choices. Has a good feel, whereas you can hold the camera steady for that 10x zoom is perfectly clear. No shakey or blurry images.

Weakness: camera is larger than most digitals. Feels like an SLR body. Pictures take a couple of seconds to snap. lens cap won't stay on!

I bought this camera to take on holiday vacation and what a treat. Used disposable lithium battery CRV3 for 10 days & 250 pictures, and still have battery life. The batteries cost about $8 for 2pk. Purchased a 1 gig SD card too so the total was $285.00 at staples. The staples salesman said this camera had the good German lens SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH too. If you are looking for a good quality camera with lots of options, and a good price, this is a definately good choice. In my opinion, even a beginner to active hobbyist will enjoy this camera.

Kodak Z710 Digital Camera - Works Great

Strengths: Good quality photos, additional memory is cheap, easy to understand menu

Weakness: None yet

This camera takes very nice pictures. The price was reasonable at $201.00 all in. We really like the easy to use menu, there is a short description beside each choice. We like the grid that is visible on the viewfinder if you choose it. Additional memory is cheap - no other way to say it, some formats cost much more for some reason. Very pleased overall.

Very good camera

Strengths: Sharp images and quick focus at normal and low light conditions. Multi-language menu. Optical zoom. Offers both LCD and view finder. Good battery life.

Weakness: Bulky. Images from view finder are fuzzy. No warning on low-battery. Flash is up everytimes the camera is started. No wrist strap. Menu is too simple.

Weaknesses: Bulky. Images from view finder are fuzzy. No warning on low-battery. Flash is up everytimes the camera is started. No wrist strap. Menu is too simple.

Kodak Z710 Camera

Strengths: Great 10x zoom lens

Weakness: small LCD, battery life is kind of short

Due to the 10x optical zoom lens, this camera is little bit bigger than regular point-n-shot cameras, feels like an SLR. LCD is only 2". But this camera has great zoom lens and takes great pictures. The manual controls are versatile. Compare with most other long zoom cameras, kodak's price is great. Recommended if you need this type of camera.

EASYSHARE Z710 Digital Camera (7.1MP, 3082x2314, 10x...

Strengths: Ease of use; great 10X Optical; and layout of controls.

Weakness: Essentially none except for short battery life.

Great camera! Have owned two other lower pixel Kodaks Cameras and have always had great pictures from the units. Th only problem experienced has been a short battery life. The Kodak Z710 view screen is not as good as my 5 pixel Kodak unit but may be due to inital settings and screen needs to be adjusted. Pictures are great!

I just purchased this camera and would have to agree with you. The pictures in the LCD screen are fuzzy and not clear. The pictures once reviewed are clear but when you are looking at the screen before taking the picture, it is not clear. Did you find a way to adjust this? Thanks.

Great Camera for the Price

Strengths: 10X Optical zoom, good quality lens, easy to use, uses standard rechargeable AA batteries, and very versatile

Weakness: None so far

All of the features of this camera, make it a great buy for the price range. It produces great close up and low light pictures. With the camera dock, it is very easy to download pictures for saving and printing. This camera can do most of what a standard SLR camera can do.

Excellent Camera

Strengths: Price!! For a relatively cheap camera, the crisp, clear pictures you get with this camera are a great plus. VERY easy to use. This is my first digital camera and I was able to shoot within minutes!

Weakness: The LCD is a little small at 2", but with the price you're paying for this camera, that can be overlooked.

I love this camera. Good quality photos, relatively cheap, and very easy to use for the beginner photographer. If you're a beginner photographer looking for an easy to use and affordable camera, this is a great option for you. I recommend this camera 100%.

A good starter camera

Strengths: Good opticle zoom and picture quality. The price is good, I got it this black friday at office depot for 175 bucks with a free printer. So it is a good gift for the holiday.

Weakness: The paper manue is kind of too simple, it does not contain lot information, Some of the functions need to be found out manually.

Over all, it is a good camera with this price. It is easy to operate. The manue is relative too simple. I recommend buy it as a beginer's camera.

I purchased this camera for my teenage daughter and she loves it! I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone who needs an inexpensive, easy to use camera! Even my 9 year old son found it easy to use!

Not Satisfied

Strengths: Pretty to look at, nice to hold.

Weakness: Does not deliver

In the 4 months that I have had this camera, I have taken close to 1000 photos. They were so washed out or blurred. I returned it to place of purchase and it was sent back to Kodak. They returned it and photos were not so washed out, but were still blurred. This camera has been a major disappointment. I purchased a Walmart special, CX7525 3 years ago which is a 5 pixel and it will out shoot this camera any day, while moving. I really expected more when this was my choice for a Christmas gift. By the way, it's still at the shop. It's been in repair more than it's been in use. One comment made to me by a technician was that I could use photo software to repair my photos :( Wrong answer. I didn't purchase this type of camera only to be told to repair my photos on the computer. I want good photos to begin with. Thank goodness I still have the CX7525 to fall back on or I would have missed many photos. Take my advice, choose something else.

Kodak EasyShare Z710 Digital Camera

Strengths: Great quality pictures. Even indoor photos in low lighting turn out great. The optical zoom is great also.

Weakness: The camera is a little bit bulky compared to other digital cameras I have used in the past, and the lens cap isn't the greatest.

Over all I would say that this camera is great for someone that wants a decently priced camera. The pictures turn out great even in low lighting. Having a 2 year old son and a 4 month old daughter, I take a LOT of indoor pictures, so I wanted a camera that would be able to handle low lighting. This camera works perfectly for me. It cost me about $300 total for the camera, a carrying case, a 1 GB memory card, and the USB reader.
