Logitech Quickcam Ultra Vision

Strengths: excellent lens and picture quality, vista compatible, excellent built, nice programs

Weakness: big size does not allow it to be used on a laptop, early drivers were very buggy, expensive compared to other webcams

I got this webcam because of the nice lens. It did not disappoint me as I got the best picture from a webcam. It was replacing my 3Com home connect which did not support the new Windows Vista. You have to get the latest driver from Logitech website since the one that came with the unit is very buggy.

Excellent webcam

Strengths: Great video and audio quality and excellent build quality

Weakness: None

Logitech Quickcam Ultravision is an excellent webcam with a very good 1.3 megapixel sensor. Quality of video is excellent probably because of the "precision engineered 5 element glass lens" and this webcam performs a lot better in dim or low light than other webcams I have seen. Microphone is quite sensitive and audio clarity is very good. Overall, this is a great webcam and I will not hesitate to buy this again.

Logitech quickcam ultra vision black edition

Strengths: crystal clear picture quality cute design

Weakness: none so far

I just bought this cute thing and trying to compare it with my old one: quickcam pro 4000. The picture quality turns out to be much better because this one uses glass lens.
I love it.

A nice webcam

Strengths: the resolution of pic is perfect,the quality of the video is good also

Weakness: the slow speed on Vista OS

I've been a die-hard Logitech fan for years...My husband pick up this for me as a birthday present. The black color matches my monitor very well. I like it very much, not only its sleeking looking but also its great quality.

The resolution of pic is perfect as I expected, and the funny thing is that I even use it to monitor my dog to see what he does when I'm not at home. To my surprise he is not as good as he was when I watch the video which I recorded in my hard-disk via Logitech QuickCam utral vision.The quality of the video exceeded my expectations for its price. This Webcam is awesome!

The only thing I am not satisfied with it is the slow speed on Vista OS, but when I use Windows XP, it goes very well.

Overall, I couldn't have hoped to get a better Webcam.

looks bigger than what it seems in the picture

Weakness: it's not small, laptop user beware

so I got this webcam, having in mind that it's gonna be a nice setup on my laptop, but then when it arrived, it is much bigger than I thought, I had to put it to my desktop next to the other webcam.

resolution is great, also has widescreen modes, it has glass lens so you can expect above average quality.

one thing I must say is logitech did a good job in their webcams, you can edit the profile to put different masks and they do respond to your face motion, you can also have it track your face while your chatting to someone.

overall, great product, not for laptop

Great Webcam

Strengths: Excellent video quality, adjustable focus, face tracking, good sound

Weakness: Price

This is arguably the best webcam in the market. It has great video quality and sound. Face tracking and rightlight technology works great and adds to the experience. The avatars are also fun to use. Additional ones can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website. It is a bit pricey. But completely worth it.

This is an amazing web camera. The best I have been used. It has excellent audio and video quality. It works with Vista system, and the price is not bad after rebate. Logitech is a good company to build the web camera like this, highly recommended.

Top notch camera.

Strengths: Looks. Price (after rebate). Brand name.

Weakness: Zilch.

Logitech are known for good reliable products, and also for their rebate offers. If you can find this camera for the right price after rebate, don't think twice, as the rebate is 99% (in my case) certain to come as long as you follow the instructions to the letter.

As for the camera, it was a snap to install and setup on my computer which uses Vista Premium 64 Bit. I have it sitting on top of my Dell LCD and it stays there without any problems. Picture is about as good as you're gonna get right now from a 1.3 MP camera, although 2.0 MP cameras are starting to hit the market.

Use PriceGrabber to search for logitech products and grab this when you see there is a good rebate on it :)

Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision Special Edition...

Strengths: Excellent video quality; works with Vista

Weakness: A little bit bulky

I got this webcam about 6 weeks ago and have been very happy with it. It delivers excellent video and audio quality and it works with Vista! It gives a black color, which is different from the common silver color, fit my ThinkPad (also black) very well. The size is a little bit too big for laptop though.

One of the best in market

Strengths: Nice design, Video quality

Weakness: Little big, overpriced

I bought the black color special edition as it goes with my computer. No doubts this is one of the best in the market right now. It is 1.3 MP. Although, it is advertised as HD, it doesn't support real HD resolution. Its just widescreen HD video format. It has nice face tracking feature however sometimes it feels annoying. It can be stably kept at any LCD monitor or notebook. You can also take very high resolution pics with the press of a button.
Overall, I liked it however its overpriced at >$100.

good quickcam for the size and microphone integration

Strengths: Excellent video and audio fidelity. Good backlighting compensation. VERY easy install. The RealLight Works great. And of course Newegg's great price and prompt delivery.

Weakness: Maybe a bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. I'm not a big fan of the face tracking but it does work, it just zooms in when you don't want it to.

I had been looking at "other brands" and logitech without having any "webcam" experience. I have a capture card and a camera and I also have a DV Camcorder that streams USB but no audio. Both of them I used for a while with a seperate microphone but the lighting just wasn't good. Both my son who is in the military and I got one of these and we use MSN for video calls with no problem. I highly recommend this camera.

Quickcam ultra

Strengths: Easy to use, nice functions

Weakness: size too for notebook

This is the best Webcam I ever have. Picture and video is good under different lighting conditions. Even with lights turned off camera produced nice picture or video. The audio is clear and there is no echo.

Great Cam

Strengths: Great picture, low light buster.

Weakness: price, no stand, only goes on top of flat screen, and not ideal for notebooks.

I didn't see any difference between this and the silver cam other than the color, so buy which ever one is cheaper.

I have noticed that all Logitech cams are the same they all have a clear picture and quality is nice with the 1.3 pixels and nightlight 2 technology is great for places like my dark basement but if you are in a bright room or a well lit room you will be fine with right light technology don't need to spend extra for the 2.

The cam is little heavy to be on top of the notebook screen...but then again Logitech has others that are design just for notebooks.


I say if you have the cash and if you don't want the MP Orbit buy this one its better than Microsoft or other brands out there.

Works great

Strengths: Cool looling, good image quality

Weakness: Expensive webcam without rebate

This was my first try at using a webcam. I bought one for myself, and one for my less technically savvy girlfriend. She's never had to ask for help. I'm impressed with the simple installation and plug-n-play performance. The software is quite good and feature-laden without being overwhelming. We tend to chat late at night and the images at low lighting levels is more than acceptable. As pleased as I am with the product, and it's attractive design

Great camera

I must say that i'm very satisfied with it.
This camera is wonderfully light and small,
The video quality is excellent even in low light conditions and the resolution is adequate.
Colors are sharp without distortion and sound is great.
Completely impressed with this purchase - would highly recommend.

Nice camera

Strengths: good fit, small, decent quality pictures

Weakness: sometimes looses focus

This handy little web cam fits nicely on a LCD screen. The size is small and doesn't get in the way at all. Easily installs via USB. The picture quality was pretty good and controls were easy to work. Both video and stills look pretty good. The only thing that would be nice is if it had a way to focus better. Depending on what you were shooting, the image can be a little blurry at times. Overall a great lil cam for the price

Strengths: Delivered as promised!

Weakness: As usal shipping could be a tad faster

I love pricegrabber it give websites & places & prices that very very fare and reasonable so they are great in my book will continue use them for things I'm looking for as for the webcam it is the best on the market right now I'm a techy by heart so always looking for the newest thing or gadget.Thankx Again for the info websites & links!

best webcam!

Strengths: great picture quality, design

Weakness: no face detection

First of all, it has really good picture quality, just like digital camera. After first use of this, I threw away all other crap webcams I have. One thing I couldn't find is face detection. Manual said it has, but I couldn't find it in webcam settings. Nevertheless, I give this 5 stars.
