Excellent upgrade for a decent price.

Strengths: 64Bit, Dual core

Weakness: None

Excellent upgrade from PIV-1.6GHz for a bargain price. Compares well with INTEL’s core 2 duo with similar clock speed for a fraction of the price. Web browsing, utility softwares and coding is what I use my PC for and this upgrade seems to speed up all that tremendously – XP installs in about 25 min., Visual studio in 20 min.. Also windows startup and shutdown takes much less time, so much so that with the current prices it’s well worth an upgrade. I didn’t OC, but one can OC this CPU significantly to further improve performance.

Excellent Processor for intermediate users

Strengths: 64 bit, comes with heat sink

Weakness: None so far

I purchased this processor for my first self assembled pc. very easy to install. It also came with fan and heat sink. I haven't tried with OC but experts in NewEgg says it can bt oc'd to 2.71GHz.

Excellent Bang for the Buck!

Strengths: Low Cost, Low Heat, Low Power Consumption, Decent Speed, Overclockable.

Weakness: This processor could be a little bit cheaper and it would be nice if it required even less in power and produced less heat.

I am currently using this processor with my 780G based HTPC computer. The entire system draws around 60W's of energy and this processor is definitely helping the cause! The dual core setup allows it to manage your applications very effectively and it packs enough power to tackle most user's needs. The 780G is designed for minimal load on the processor so I can't fully tell how much this processor can handle... and this is due to the fact that I only play HD and standard video on this computer. I'm sure I could throw some power hungry utilities at this cpu and it would still be fine though!
