Hauppauge WinTV-USB TV Tuner CardStrengths: Easy to use. Weakness: Low resolution Easy to use with USB 2.0 connection and driver software. I have used it just for video capturing. It works fine except for the resolution is limited to 320x240 (low-quality video). The manufacturer does not report this specification anywhere in the documents included w/ the product. Hauppauge WinTV-USB TV Tuner CardStrengths: added an extra function to my laptop for versatility, didn't have to purchase tv Weakness: image clarity not as good as regular lcd/tube tv, resolution could be better Easy to install and set-up on my laptop. Sound is slightly delayed (to video) when using digital audio mode via usb connection. Hauppauge WinTV-USB TV Tuner CardStrengths: simple to use and easy to setup Weakness: could have better software Hauppauge needs to put more effort into developing their software if this and future TV products are to compete. The good thing about the hardware is they've avoided gimmicks and produced a product that looks reasonable. You wouldn't be wasting your money buying this product as it's only the software that lets it down and this "could" be fixed in future updates that could be made available via Hauppauges website. 85% of readers found this review helpful. WINTV-USB It didn't workStrengths: None that I could find as it did not work. Weakness: I received the product promptly from the seller but it simply would not work. I tried it on three different PC's with the same results. Returned it. I sent an email to the support for this product and it was several days before they responded. Apparently they are not interested, so I'm not either. I got a Pinnacle product and it works like a champ! Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? TopSponsored Links

Strengths: Reliable software. Inexpensive.
Weakness: Poor picture quality.
I got this TV tuner for less than $30 with a $40 rebate. The picture quality is really bad. I've tried the Pinnacle before. The picture quality is much much much better. However, it has a deadly problem. The TV program locked up constantly. I had to restart the computer everytime it locks up. I couldn't even use any other program whenever I was using the TV tuner. So there it went back to the store. I've decided to keep this because of the good price. I'm waiting for the ATI USB2 TV tuner.
