Monster storage with tiny package.Strengths: size, stability, durability Weakness: cost, color I have had several flash drives but this one has been the best. I have never had a single problem with the operation or compatibility of this drive. 4GB of storage space and the USB 2.0 allow you to move large amounts of data at super fast transfer rates. I keep all of my important documents in a virtual briefcase on this drive. When I get to the office I just plug it in and update all the documents to the most recent versions. If anything were to happen to one of the versions I have a backup. The size makes this drive easy to slip in your pocket or keep it on your keychain. Be careful when you put it in your pocket, I left mine in and it went through the wash. Which bring me to the next feature. Durability.. After the wash I was sweating bullets, wondering if I had destroyed my 70 dollar drive. I plugged it in and to my amazement, it worked just like before. You are limited to one color, so if you have a problem with purple then you might look elsewhere. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Kingston 4GB Data Traveler Flash DriveStrengths: Size, Price, Nice looking, No U3 Software Weakness: Speed, Somewhat cheap case, cap design Though I doubt it is Vista SpeedBoost certified, this flash drive certainly has capacity on its side, easily storing everything I need it to. It was also one of the cheapest flash drives for its size, and its even from a legit manufacturer. I have yet to experience any problems with it on any of my computers, and I am confident it will continue to serve me well for years to come. One major advantage: no U3 software! 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Kingston: Lite and Filling, washes clean.Strengths: 4G Easy to grab, not too sleak a style case. USB 2 transfer rate excellent and quick. Recognized by the PC and Laptop 123 No tricky U3 software to load, durrable, survived a trip to the laundry. Weakness: bulky design does not fit in carry cases as well. Bulk also does not jibe with side by side USB jacks. From my first stick of 256 Meg storage, we have come a long way baby. I even had a 486 PC with less HDD space than this baby!!! 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Good Basic productStrengths: capacity, price Weakness: none This 4GB flash drive is the perfect size for keeping my photos and files safe and for backing them up. The 4GB capacity is much better than having several smaller ( 1GB) drives laying around.I can fit PLENTY of things on here and can use this on whatever computer I want.It also does not add unnecessary and unwanted components like U3 software to my computer when I install it.After installing it on my computer the first time it took about 5 seconds for the computer to find new hardware and install it. After that initial installation there is nothing to do.I am extremely happy with this product. The price was about $20 and you cannot beat it. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Good capacity at a reasonable priceStrengths: Inexpensive; Very light device with large capacity; Stable performance; Five year warranty Weakness: Plastic material may not be very durable in the long run. No retractable design. I found this USB drive to be the least expensive one with 4GB capacity in a name brand. This drive actually looks better in person than in the picture. The good thing is that you don't have to deal with U3 software unlike other drives and it's ready to use right out of box. The reading/writing speed seems good to me. It does what it's supposed to do and you can trust Kingston for memory product. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Kingston 4gb flash driveStrengths: a lot of storage space Weakness: none so far Kingston is a reliable company from experience so I decided to get this flash drive from them. I have a 1gb version also which has always worked for me and I expect this one to do the same. It is one of the largest storage spaces that are available today. The transfer speeds are decent but are only noticeable because of the 4gb size. The only fault that I can see happening is losing the cap of it, since it is loosely held on to the key. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Decent 4gb flash driveStrengths: Good performance, reliable, Large capacity Weakness: No Capless design, does not come with spare caps I have been using kingston flash drives for over 4 years and I have not been disappointed by its quality. This drive has fast data transfer and a lot of storage space. In addition it's not crippled by U3 system. The only drawback is the capped design. Newer data travelers come in capless (retractable usb connector) design which may be desirable for some. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Kingston 4GB DataTraveler - AWESOMEStrengths: Lots of storage, no errors, portable, fast, inexpensive Weakness: none This datatraveler has never failed. It is awesome for storage at a price of less than $20. I couldn't pass it up. I have had other Kingston products and they have proven reliable just as this little massive storage unit. I use it for added space to my laptop and to transfer pictures to friends and family. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Good product, cheapStrengths: price Weakness: N/A The reason I bought this one is the big brand and low price. It works fine. No problem so far. And, I haven't test if transfer speed yet. After I do it, I will post more information here. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Kingston 4GB Data Traveler USB 2.0 Flash Drive - I...Strengths: capacity, decent speed, good value Weakness: none so far I really like this little drive. It has plenty enough capacity for my needs and it's the least expensive 4 GB drive I've found. Data transfer rates are pretty good. I've seen write speeds as high as 400 Mb/min and read speeds as high as 1 Gb/min. So far, I'm very satisfied with my purchase and I highly recommend it. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Mar 9, 2009 Strange, my stick clocks about 10 to 12 MB/S (80 to 96 Mb/s) when writing to it. I was always curious about what kinds of speeds others have experienced with this DataTraveler. Mine is connected to a USB2 port an an Acer Aspire 5630 laptop under Vista Ultimate (no SP).

Kingston 4gb Data Traveler Flash DriveStrengths: Fast file transfer rates, lots of space Weakness: The housing of the flash drive seems cheap Well this product is the most inexpensive 4gb flashdrive their is and the quality of the product is good except the housing. The cap can be easily missplaced. A good flash drive for people who need to transfer large files anywhere. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Handy little thumbdriveStrengths: Price, physical size, memory capacity Weakness: Speed, not readyboost capable This is a good usb drive. I've been using it for about 2 months now and have transferred large files, small files, and batches. Because of its large memory capacity, this drive can handle a lot of data. Along with the large capacity, this drive also was priced competitively when I purchased it. The physical size of the drive is compact, yet large enough that it is not easily lost. Cheaper 4 GB Data TravelerStrengths: 4 GB of space, 5 years warranty, works well with Windows Vista. Weakness: Cap is lost easily as loosely attached. Kingston 4 GB usb drive (data traveler) cheaper as compared others and works fine and fast as against its capacity. USB 2.0 hot swappable, just same size as my older Kingston 1 GB usb drive. Also doesn't install any program (.exe's) for its operation so works very fine in my highly secured school computers. Has 5 years warranty for repair, replacement or refund if defective. Reliable Kingston product and worth the price. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Kingston 4GB Dta TravelerStrengths: 4GB of space and reliability of kingston products Weakness: somewhat slow comparing to other usb drives I bought this drive for a good price even though I had 2 other flash drives. I bought it for the price and reliability of kingston. I am using it as a backup to my other 4 GB drive (ocz). It works on both on Windows XP and Vista (not fast enough for Ready Boost). I have been using this drive for a few months and it worked perfectly so far. It's little slow comparing to my ocz but it's a lot cheaper. Overall, an excellent product for the price. Great Flash DriveStrengths: Size, No U3 Software. Weakness: Color. Could be a bit more sturdy in construction So far this is a great flash drive that i was able to get pretty cheap. It was something like $20 on sale. I'm not big on the color, but the size is big and it works great. The cap can get broken really easily if you use it a lot. I have a 2GB model and the cap ended up breaking after a while. If your not a fan of the U3 software bundled with a lot of drives these days, then you will like this one. best buyStrengths: Cheap, good quality, nice look Weakness: None It is really a nice pen drive considering the price and size. Quality is very good, right size, looks very slick. Transfer speed is decent, but could be improved. Overall it is the best pen drive I ever purchased. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Cool little device!Strengths: 4 gb enough for big ppts and large files, helps when you travel around. also good for backing up stuff. small and nice looking as well. best of all: the price!! Weakness: none so far I really like this, we got them at about 20 bucks each, which was unbelievable. very nice, and kingston is a great brand, all our usb flash drives are kingston. can't believe i got a 1 gb one about 10 months ago for the same price (or maybe even a little more). works well, transfer is fast and i have had no problems so far with it. good work kingston! Big, but DurrableStrengths: Durable. While in use, the cap mounts on the back end without blocking the tether. Weakness: Wide. Ugly. No write-lock. Despite having the hole for a tether and detachable strap, mine didn't come with one. Simple and effective. Lots of space. The cap clips tightly and mounts simply on the back while in use. Drive can attach via cord tether or plastic ring on back.

Excellent drive for plenty storageStrengths: Complete Plug n Play Durable Stable High speed transfer Instantly available for data transfer as soon as plugged in. Weakness: Design and size.. could have been even more tiny. Great product from Kingston. Highly durable and complete plug n play. I had a 2 gb usb drive earlier and that went dead with no warnings. So I've been very cautious in removing the sub drive using safe removal of windows... But this usb is so well protected from its circuitry that instant removal after data transfer doesn't damage the drive.. and it works like a charm. Good light speed transfer and instant load are some of it salient features.. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Kingston 4gb Traveler Flash DriveStrengths: small physical size, compact, well designed and plenty of storage Weakness: speed is not the fastest, color choices could be better This is my first 4gb flash drive and it turns out to be very affordable. 4gb is plenty of capacity for a small form factor drive. The drive is well designed comparing to other brand names. Cap stays on very well, you don't have to worry about it falling off like others. Speed is a little bit on the slow side, but for regular every day uses, I am not complaining. Overall, a very good buy for a large capacity drive. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Great little data drive with a large storage spaceStrengths: Large storage space, Portable, Reasonable transfer speed. Weakness: Design of the port protection cap could make the cap lost easily This product is great of the portable data storage. It has fast data transfer speed. A small LED is embedded in the drive to tell you the drive is active when data is being transfered. Take care of the white cap since it can be easily lost. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Kingston 4GB Data TravelerStrengths: small size, 4GB capacity, OK price at this time Weakness: none I already had the 1GB model before purchasing the 4GB so I wasn't at all surprised that everything works as expected. It's plug and play and very good transfer rate. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Good capacity, reasonably attractive, Kingston...Strengths: Nice capacity, USB 2.0 transfer speeds, Kingston name Weakness: Plastic case, while attractive, may not hold up over long run, although that remains to be seen When shopping for a new portable flash drive, I wanted something with a fair amount of capacity coupled with a brand name known for quality memory devices. This flash drive does the trick. It's cute, fast and carries the Kingston brand name. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

works fine, no dramaStrengths: works as expected Weakness: not the sleekest design all these USB stick are about the same size, i have never noticed differences in speeds between sticks, so what's there to say aside from if it works, and how aesthetically appealing it is. this one works, and it looks a little cheesier than some of the sleeker designs, but i don't mind. i had a sleek memorex traveldrive before, and i could never find it because the grey body and transparent cap were so hard to see in a dimly lit space. this white body on the Kingston is easier to spot. also, my old memorex, before too long, the case and guts separated, meaning as i pulled it out of the computer, half stayed attached to the pc. i shoved it back in and scotch-taped it, which was really annoying, i had to be extra delicate with it. so far the kingston hasn't shown any durability issues, but if they appear, i'll update the review. Not too big, not to smallStrengths: Good quality + Good deal Weakness: Cap The price of this Kingston 4GB flash drive is reasonable. May be, it is the cheapest among branded flashdrives. The size is not too small and not too big. I dropped this flash drive for several times but it is still working. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Datatraveler 4GB
Strengths: Works very well for Readyboost... Aceepted it with no problem at all and notice some performance increase with the increased memory.
Weakness: None at this time as I have just used it for Readyboost and works flawless.
Overall this item is well worth the money if you want to store some programs or items that you don't want to lose due to a defective hard drive or whatever.
The only drawback on this is the flimsy keychain piece to attach it at. Its very cheaply made and after alittle use and rubbing against your key chain you will find that the thing will break and you might accidently lose it.
I do not recommend attaching it to your keychain. Put it on a small rope and put it up somewhere to prevent damage to the item.
