The best mouse out there right nowStrengths: Long Cable, Gold Connector, Ergonomic Right-Handed Design, 1000 Hz Polling Rate, 5 Programmable Buttons, 3G Laser for Awesome Tracking, Great Control, Perfect Control up to 3.92 m/s Weakness: Slightly Curved Bottom with just adequate Teflon feet, Sides are made with shiny plastic that smudges easily and eventually develops blemishes that you need to clean constantly Even though there are a few cons to this mouse, this is the best mouse I have ever used and was definitely worth the fifty dollars I payed for it. I switched to this mouse from a Razer Diamondback, which breaks easily, and it took me about a week to adjust to the curve of the mouse, but when I did, it definitely felt more natural in my hand and my movements felt more precise in game. It provides excellent tracking and its wheel is also very good because it has small indents in it so that you can move exactly one notch every time when you need to. However, for some mouse pads you might have to buy extra Teflon feet due to the slightly curved bottom. However, if you get past that you'll love this mouse whether you're a gamer or just use it for image design and office applications. I highly recommend this product and it was worth every penny.

Razers are an acquired tasteStrengths: Responsive, sensitive, smooth motion, and good software options Weakness: Erratic performance at times Razer mice are an acquired taste. The other alternative for gamers are the mice from Logitech. Razer mice tend to be ambidextrous and lightweight, while Logitech ones have more heft and are solely for right-handed gamers. Make sure to try both before buying. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

It's a thing of beautyStrengths: Excellent tracking, nice feel, and pretty. Weakness: No cordless version; Razer doesn't make them. Let me start of by saying that I'm a gamer. One that doesn't care for a ton of buttons on my mouse. I'm a minority, I know. I've owned them, but I hardly ever use them all. That's what a keyboard is for, right? 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Nice mouse but expensiveStrengths: very fast response time Weakness: No driver for ps2 connector I have this mouse shared on two machines with a switch. But the driver does not support the mouse in ps2 mode only usb mode. Had to get a usb convertor to make it work. It is kind of an expensive mouse considering the alternative mice that are available. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Move Over LogitechStrengths: Incredibly comfortable design with a good grip. Very precise and fast. Designed for medium/large hands with perfect button placement. Cool blue lights. Weakness: Weight not adjustable. Location of profile switch. Skinny wires. Loud buttons. Having used Logitech mice for many years now, I was skeptical I would find a competitor who could make a better mouse. So I decided to try out several mice at a local electronics store. At first I found myself leaning towards the Logitech MX518 mouse as my preferred choice, but once I came across the Razer DeathAdder, I knew computing would never be the same. The mouse has quite possibly the most comfortable grip and feel to it. It contours to your hand shape and positions your fingers perfectly on the buttons. The precision and speed is unparalleled right out of the box, but if you choose to install the included software, you can fine tune it even further. There are two LEDs that glow on the mouse, but can be turned off if desired. Despite its incredible feel, it does have a few limitations. First, it is a fairly light mouse compared to other mice on the market and there is no way to increase the weight. Second, there is a way to toggle through different speed profiles on the mouse, but the button is located on the bottom of the mouse. Finally, the buttons are fairly loud when clicked which can become an irritation for some people. If you can gloss over these limitations, you will enjoy one the best mice ever conceived. One of, if not the best gaming mouse available.Strengths: Excellent tracking, speed, and comfort. Good looking, long cord, rubberized top. Weakness: The sides aren't rubberized like the top for some reason. The firmware has issues installing under Vista. The feet are flimsy, and due to their thickness, or lack their of, the mouse actually rubs slightly on the bottom. Comfort – Very comfortable mouse for right handed players. The top is rubberized, which feels and works great. For some reason though they didn't rubberize the sides of the mouse, which seems odd, and is a little annoying. The overall shape is very similar to the IE3.0 mouse, which I had used for nearly 5 years I believe. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Razor RocksStrengths: Quality Weakness: None This mouse is AWESOME. The quality of construction shows in both the feel of the surface and the solid notching on the scroll wheel as you roll down web pages. The Illumination is VERY COOL as well. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

My all time favorite mouseStrengths: - Flawless tracking, - Limitless ability to control the speed and sensitivity of the mouse, - Bar none, the absolute best feel and sensitivity to pressure for all buttons of any mouse I've ever used Weakness: - Doesn't have many buttons, which for a mouse this customizable is a real shame I upgraded from the Diamondback to this mouse because of all the great reviews I read, and they weren't wrong! For right-handed users, this has got to be one of the best mice on the market today. The look and feel of this mouse is absolutely flawless. The buttons are just sensitive enough to require only a light touch, but are solid enough that you won't accidentally press the button when you don't want to (as I did often with my Diamondback). I would also add that the eXactMat by Razer goes perfectly with this mouse, and I can even enjoy the Speed side of the mat with this mouse because it moves so solidly and precisely, even over a low friction surface. I've made my top side button into the On-The-Fly Sensitivity button, which gives me the ability to quickly go from fast to precise in games where it is necessary and it works great. Trust me, if you've never owned a gaming mouse, this will be the best performance upgrade you can get for around fifty bucks! Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Razer DeathAdder
THE GOOD: The Razer DeathAdder gaming mouse has high accuracy and includes excellent customization software, and two responsive thumb-side buttons (righties only). THE BAD: No Vista driver despite claim of support on the box; no dedicated button for cycling through DPI settings on the fly. THE BOTTOM LINE: Razers DeathAdder gaming mouse is a powerful accessory for fans of 3D shooters and others... Top

Great Mouse, Might Cause Problems if you Share a PC...
Strengths: Precision, Comfort, Design, Customizability, Works like a standard mouse under linux (plus glowing razer logo)
Weakness: Upgrade the Firmware to once you purchase; default firmware can cause problems with some games! No advanced settings or profile support is available under Linux.
I bought this mouse in advance of a new PC I'm saving up for. I wanted to have a decent gaming mouse. I have no prior expirence with gaming mice and am a moderate PC gamer.
--
First Impressions:
Right out of the box this mouse looks sweet. Once it's plugged in to a PC the scroll wheel starts lights up and the Razer logo fades in and out. It has a very good ergonomic design that feels very comfortable. The Teflon feet slide very well on any surface, no mousepad is required for smooth operation.
--
Performance:
Right off the bat it seemed kind of awkward using it. The mouse was overly sensitive and I would often accidentally close windows when I tried to maximize them. I popped in the CD and installed Razer's proprietary driver software.
I was able to bump down the DPI one notch and it worked fine. However, this was still too sensitive for others in my family. There is a profile switching button on the bottom of the mouse to switch between settings. This allowed my family to operate it at a comfortable setting while I could bump it up when I was playing games.
--
Gaming Test:
I tested this mouse with Battle Front: II. It didn't feel quite right and I didn't notice any advantage over a standard mouse. Whenever I clicked the middle mouse button to use my scope, the mouse would behave erratically and have me aim at the ground. This was a dealbreaker for me. I googled for about half an hour looking for a solution to this problem. I came up with nothing.
Seeing a driver update was available on Razer's website [www.razerzone.com...], I proceeded to upgrade the driver and the mouse's firmware (yes, this mouse does have its own firmware). This fixed all problems with erratic movement and made general control feel better.
--
Overall:
If this mouse had a few more buttons (the death adder has only 5: standard left/right, middle scroll, and two on the side) and the default firmware/drivers worked better, I would give this mouse a 5/5. The firmware can obviously be fixed, so if the 5 button design doesn't bother you, I'd recommend you pick up this mouse.
