Good board for basic configuration
Strengths: Small size, logical layout, plenty of ports.
Weakness: Lack of 64 bit support, refuses to see the SATA array as the primary array if a PATA drive is installed.
I picked up this motherboard to install Windows 2003 x64 on it. The board comes with many 64 bit drivers except those that support SATA. The SATA II (3.0) spec isn't supported under 64 bit and the RAID array fails to install without a PATA drive installed, which Windows insists as using to store boot files on even though it's listed last in the boot order in the BIOS. Removing the PATA drive causes Windows to no longer see the USB floppy drive during install. How those two are related is beyond me!
Configuration is 4 GB RAM, 2 SATA 500 GB drives in RAID one (now standalone) 1 500 GB PATA drive, USB floppy and DVD drives.
