What a fast Hard Drive for a Laptop !

Strengths: 250GB Storage Capacity, 5400 rpm speed, Ultra quiet operation

Overall, I am happy with this internal Hard Drive from Hitachi. I wanted a large capacity Hard Drive for my 2 year old laptop and I chose this one. As I started serching I found a review that says "Travelstar 5K250, with outstanding power management, delivers the lowest 5400 RPM power consumption, providing longer battery life for notebook users." Sure enough, since I installed this one my laptop became faster, quieter and more battery life.
This Hitachi 5K250 is worth the money !

Pretty good. Definitely makes sounds though.

Strengths: Large storage amount. Pretty good speed. Works.

Weakness: Clickity sounds emanate a lot.

Got it and did a 2 hour cloning of my older smaller drive to this new one. Then I stuck it in my MacBook and started up. Running fine. Except this one definitely makes clickity sounds when in use unlike the quieter 60GB one it replaced. I don't mind as I had one like it in the past. Seems to be accessing data just as fast as the 5400RPM one it replaced. So all in all I'm happy with. It works.

This is a replacement hard drive for a laptop with 250gb capacity and 5400rpm speed. while not the fastest speed available it works well in my dell laptop and gives me room to store multimedia on the laptop itself. comes with a 3-yr warranty.

I use this hard drive with Fujitsu S2210 laptop. There is no incompatibillity issue at all.

This hard drive is also quiet with a similar speed compared to other 5400rpm laptop hard drives from other manufacturers.

Hitachi 2.5 drive 250 gig

Strengths: has built in shock resistance that the others don't has lower power consumption than most

Weakness: not the cheapest

I have had the best luck with the old IBM, now Toshiba drive. Other laptop drives I can hook up to a usb device and move slightly. When I do this I can hear the head and the platter grinding. But never with the IBM designed Hitachi. They are the most durable and reliable drive in the 2.5 inch world.

Hitachi Wins Again

Strengths: Well constructed and ease for swopping

Weakness: None

This was an easy swap with my old hard drive. The added space was needed. I was able to easily transfer the data and insert the new drive without any extra effort. Nice and simple for once.
