Antec NSK2480 Silver Desktop solutionStrengths: antec disign, 3 thermally separated zone, 2 120mm fans, 380w antec psu Weakness: none Got this case for my HTPC project. The case is big enough to install full size pci and video cards, so there is no need to spend money on low profile cards. The chassis made from 0.8mm steel is very sturdy. This case takes only Micro ATX 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

perfect htpc caseStrengths: looks great quiet easy to work in Weakness: no lcd 380w psu I replaced my previous case, an Antec minuet, with this, because the half-height minuet was a little too loud and also because it was hard to find expansion cards in that form factor. I was concerned that this case might not look nice, but it's REALLY attractive. I replaced the builtin "tricool" fans with two Yate Loon fans, which are quiet and also support fan management from the motherboard. Also, bear in mind that the PSU is only 380w -- but, for an HTPC, it's hard to think you'd need more for 99% of installations. 50% of readers found this review helpful. NEW SOLUTION MicroATXStrengths: Very quiet performance. Easy to use, easy to open and close. Everything fits well, good fit and finish. Everything I've tried has fit quite well and has not caused me any problems. Weakness: Coloring. I don't like the silver on black, but that's just me. This was my initial complaint. But I can't say much else. I have not used this unit very much, and this is my first time building my own computer, but I'd have to say the case has made things relatively easy. I never knew that building a HTPC would be this easy and the one thing I was most concerned about, noise, hasn't been an issue at all. I'd recommend this unit without reservation. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Antec NSK2480 HTPC CaseStrengths: Well-built, Excellent Cooling, Well Designed Weakness: none This is a great Antec case that is essentially a Antec Fusion case without some of the bells and whistles (no front display or volume knob). This particular case has excellent cooling design for a small case and is elegant looking for a Homme Theater PC setup. it accepts microatx boards only and comes with an adequate 380W power supply. it has a horizontal layout suitable for fitting into home-theater system racks. Great Case for Great Price.Strengths: Great price, quality materials, nice quiet fans included, intelligent layout. Weakness: No optical drive bay cover. This case was the best purchase I have made for my HTPC (except for the newer quieter CPU cooling fan). It looks great and everything fits like a glove. I have two hard drives, a DVD drive, an Athlon XP 2200, and use both fans on low. This thing is pretty quiet and cooling is not a problem. I did replace the stock PSU with something better, but only because I had it laying around. Otherwise, the included stock PSU is great (I use it in my desktop PC). NSK2480 Silver (front panel) Black (body) Nice heat...Strengths: Excellent temperature isolation between HDD/DVD/CHIP. Good organizations. Vibration reduction on the fixture for the HDD. Weakness: I think the case should be either entirely black or entirely silver in color. The user manual could explain things with a little bit more pictures. Overall, I think this is a solid case. I really like the way all the cables can be neatly organized using the included plastic straps. Different components (HDD/optical drive/MOBO/power supply) are separated by different chambers of the case helps circulating the air. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Beautiful caseStrengths: Beautiful, well-constructed, easy to work in, front-mounted ports Weakness: No display, unit is a bit too wide This unit is 17.5 inches. Most A/V components are 17 inches or less, so it would not fit in my cabinet. Luckily, I can put it on top next to my TV without it looking silly. Plus, fans vent out the right side so you need actually more than 17.5 inches of side clearance. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Well built case at a very reasonable priceStrengths: Solid construction, includes high-efficiency power supply, clean look, fits full size pci cards, and quiet operation. Weakness: A little bit difficult to route cables and secure them properly. Cables can touch the internal fans if you're not careful. Just a touch wider than the specs and fan grills stick out of side. I ordered this case to replace an antec sonata in my family room, thinking that it would fit in my home theater component rack (which was 17 1/2" wide). Well this thing is stated as 17 1/2" so I knew it would be close, but it's actually over that. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Antec NSK 2480 CaseStrengths: Great Case Design, Quiet Power Supply, Quiet Fans, Good Airflow, Fits great with HiFi Units in rack, Well Constructed Weakness: None really. Tight fit for some motherboards. No hidden media bays, so you need a silver DVD drive. No front mounted Firewire connector. This is a great HTPC case. It's tight to work in the motherboard area, and it only takes a mATX motherboard, but I knew that going in. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Sleek & Quiet HTPC CaseStrengths: Looks good, QUIET!, great power supply, good airflow, very well constructed. Weakness: Tight squeeze for even some microATX motherboards, hard to match silver color exactly. This case was very well designed for HTPC use. The included power supply is top-notch and considerably quiet. Airflow is good with two large fans on right-hand side. I found it hard to match to silver color with an optical drive I already had, but have an NEC drive on the way which should be a better match. I like the two usb ports on the front, but could use a firewire jack on front or side as well for easy plug-n-play with hd camcorders. Still, its a strikingly nice case that you can tell was made with quality in mind. Simple, straightforward, quiet, and looks great with my other AV gear. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Good case but kind of bigStrengths: very quiet and easy installation looks great even wife approves Weakness: the sata plugs on some boards make a tight fit no cover for the disk drives Great case and easy to work with though it was a bit larger then I expected at 18 inches wide. Also the blue LED light is a bit bright is using in a darkened room. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Great HTPC CaseStrengths: Fits with stereo equipment rack; easy installation; good power-supply; 3-year warranty Weakness: No concealed CD/DVD tray; Kind of big I am building a Home Theater PC (HTPC), so picked this case up. I think it is tremendous value, as it includes a 80% efficient 380Watt Antec EarthWatts power-supply. It also comes with two 120mm fans. WHile I find the fans kind of loud on their high setting, the medium was sufficient to move the heat out of the case. The install was a breeze, even though the directions were not all that great. Plenty of room to work. I like the separate compartments for the power-supply, as that should keep the heat out of the motherboard/CPU area. There is a fairly easy to use tray to load the hard-drives, and there are rubber grommets to minimize noise from vibrations. My only real knock is that they did not provide a way to conceal your DVD/CD drive. Once you install it, the faceplate on the drive is visible. So the drive color constrasts with the rest of the silver front finish. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Excellent Case worth The Money!!Strengths: Quiet I personally love the design Excellent Power Supply that it comes with Weakness: It doesn't come with invisible drive bays The case is extremely quiet. The tricool fans can be adjusted to different speeds depending on your liking. This case is primarily for a home theater pc setup. The case is a bit long so fitting in your shelves might be a problem. A gripe I have is the cd drives are not invisible. You can make your own but breaking off the parts that hold the drive in and using some double sided tape to tape it on to the front of the cd drive. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

NSK2480 - A Very Well Built, Affordable Media Case
Strengths: Built Like a tank, very sturdy, high quality materials, high quality built-in power supply. Nice 120mm very quiet fans with 3 adjustable speeds.
Weakness: Optical drive bay covers remove, but there is no cover, making a black drive look bad against the silver bezel.
This is the case for the first PC build I have ever done by myself and it has been a joy to work with. This case only accepts Micro ATX Motherboards, and I bought the Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H, like others who have reviewed this case.
All I can say is, this case is solid. The power supply is great, the fans are practically silent, and everything is running cool. It looks great in my entertainment center, it looks like it is just another piece of A/V equipment.
My build:
Antec NSK2480
Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H
AMD Athlon XP 5000+ Brisbane (Black Box) overclocked to 3.0GHz
Scythe Ninja Mini Heat Sink
Pioneer 112D Silver DVD+-RW
all connected to a Vizio 47" 1080p LCD
