Reviews for ECS (Elitegroup Computers) K8M800-M2 MotherboardAthlon 64/Sempron, Socket 754, VIA K8M800, mATX, 2GB DDR, 800MHz Bus - MPN: K8M800M2

Random Freeze upStrengths: Cheap easy setup. Built in video for internet usage is satisfactory. Weakness: Somehow when I boot cold PC, it freezes up. This may happen 2 or 3 times and other times no freeze up. Video slot is AGP. I paired this board with the Sempron 3400/Kingston 512mb for under $200. The PC has random freeze up but once PC is warmed up, it's stable as can be. Left it on 24/3days with no hiccup. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Random Freeze up
Strengths: Update from freeze up. Downloaded bios from ECS. This board is rock solid no issues!
Weakness: No overclocking.
If you want a stable budget board for home usage this board will do the trick. Make sure you update the bios from ECS as there is a memory stability issue which I experienced.
