Great sound!!! Better than 2.1 setups!
Strengths: Nice Bass, clear sound. Easy to setup. Looks good too!
Weakness: A little more expensive than other 2.0 setups.
I had been in the market for a new set of computer speakers. Previously I have had a full 5.1 setup, but my new office area is on the smaller side, so I didn't have room for a 5.1 setup. I bought a 2.1 set from another name brand for a little bit more, and I was not impressed. Even though it had a dedicated subwoofer, the bass was not deep and the overall quality was muffled and poor. I had been reading reviews online about speakers, and came across M-Audio AV30s. I went to my local electronics store and tested them out. They sounded very good, so I decided to buy them. They were a little expensive at $94. But once I plugged them in and hooked up my computer, WOW, I was blown away. Granted I am not an 'audiophile' but I do know quality when I hear it. The sound is so clear. Also it has good bass. (There is a switch on the back for the bass level.) The speakers themselves are very well built, and feel very sturdy. One tip that I have is to make sure that the top of the speaker is at the same level as your ears. There definitely is a difference if they are desk level as opposed to ear level. I am very impressed with the sound and would recommend these to anyone.
