Solid headset

Strengths: Good sound from headphones. Volume control is simple and easy to use. Open-ear design keeps ears cooler. Relatively inexpensive.

Weakness: Microphone only swivels about 200 degrees. It cannot be moved closer to the mouth. Not for people with big ears or glasses. Will hurt head.

The big issue that I have with these headphones are that they aren't that comfortable for people who have larger ears, like me. The headset clamps comfortably against my head it's just after 1/2 hour my ears will become uncomfortable. If you have ears that are more flat against your head, I don't think this will be a big issue. To be fair, I have this problem with most headphones though, except earbuds. Most of the pressure is on the top of the ears and just above them. If you wear glasses, I could see this could getting very painful really quick.
The headphones are very good quality though. I know they have a good range as I can even hear the extrememly high pitched hum that my sound card makes(very annoying like a hearing test w/only one really high frequency, but is a problem w/the sound card).
I am very pleased w/the open-ear design of the headphones. Although my ears still get sweaty with them on, it's not nearly as bad as wearing regular closed-ear cans.
The microphone itself is a rigid plastic that swivels about 200 degrees. The mic cannot be moved physically closer to my mouth which can make it hard to hear your voice in playback. It has very good sensitivity and picks up my voice pretty decently even though the mic is about 4 inches to the side of my mouth. Although, enabling the 20db boost in the Volume Control allows my voice to come through loud and clear without yelling. It doesn't pick up much background noise as I talk, which is a plus.
For the price, I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a decent quality headset and would even purchase it again. I would even recommend this to people who have larger ears, if they don't mind taking them off for a couple of minutes every hour to let their ears relax. I would seriously NOT recommend this headset to anyone who would wear glasses while using this product.

Second set of headphones I've been through this...

Strengths: Open design givesyour ears breathing room; nice long cord; decent microphone reception

Weakness: Need to get used to before it feels comfortable; behind-the-head design can slip off on occasion; not the best for MP3 playback; mic can not be moved closer; left side of my set cut out after warranty

It was a decent set until my left side cut out right after the 30-day warranty expired, which I find annoying after throwing 30 bucks to replace my last headset which had the same thing happen to the right side. Arrrgh!

Otherwise this wasn't so bad. Music playback wasn't all that great, but I didn't buy it for that reason. I bought it so I could take advantage of Battlefield 2's VoIP comm system. In that regard, It worked fairly well although my buddies did claim that my voice sounded a bit low and they often heard some slight background noise. Unfortunately, you can only swing the microphone up or down, and not closer or further away. Likewise, you can't adjust the headband, although for me this didn't cause a problem (until the sound in the left ear cut out, that is).

Then again, Logitech has been known quite often to prefer style over function. This was one of those times when they seemed to have missed the sweet spot.

leet headset!!

Strengths: Excellent sound quality. Easy to operate sound/mic control. Design is very comfortable, and the open-ear design keeps ears cool.

Weakness: Took a little time to get used to the way it fit. Not USB.

This Headset is the best one I have used from Logitech so far. This has an awesome affordable price and excellent sound quality. I recommend this headset to any gamer out there. Very good for music too.

Great While it lasts

Strengths: Sound quality is excellent, powerful microphone so being able to adjust the length is not an issue.

Weakness: Uncomfortable for a few weeks, but you will quickly get used to it, hopefully before the sound starts to go.

I bought these as a replacement for an old set about the time Battlefield 2 came out. They were amazing all summer until about a month ago when one side of the headphones no longer worked. I dealt with it for a week or two then stopped using them for the last two weeks until i tried them out again today, and now there is no sound at all! In my research for a new set I found many reviews (mostly on newegg) that said the same thing about the sound going on one side.

They may be uncomfortable to start, but that isn't such a big deal. Unless you find a really good price on these, don't buy them because they seem to have a major design flaw with the sound. Otherwise, excellent, while they last..

Logitech Precision PC Gaming Headset

Strengths: The sound quality is good.

Weakness: This headset is not adjustable. The one size fits all is not for everybody.

Good as a replacemnet headset for a short period of time. Bring this to the college dorm instead of the beeter ones available. The mic is ok and sound good. A fair product for the price.

headset

Strengths: great sound

Weakness: headset isn't adjustable. like one size if suppose to fit everybody

I bought this headset last night and used it for about 3 hrs. It feel comfortable but one of the downsides is that it's not adjustable and it fits on the back of the head which is unusual for a thick hard plastic headset. The sound is good and speaking into the mic is easy. I don't have to yell or anything.

Logitech Precision PC Gaming Headset

Strengths: Audio quality, Microphone/Volume control, Stylish, Price

Weakness: Microphone Design

As an avid gamer and former Sennheiser PC155USB user, I needed a cheap, yet functional headset. The audio quality of the headset is satisfactory for the price and the microphone and audio control is useful during gaming sessions when you need to mute the mic or turn down the sound. The headset fits fine especially for a "behind the ears" style. I expect the headset to hurt when I'm wearing glasses as with any "behind the ear" headset. The downside of this headset is the positioning of the microphone. It's hard plastic and rotates 180 degrees, which means I can't move the microphone closer or farther out. This makes it hard for others to hear me without turning on 'Mic Boost.'

Overall, this product has been great, but I would still like to get another Sennheiser PC155USB. If you are looking for a cheap, yet effective headset, give the "Logitech Premium Headset" a try.

Great buy!

Strengths: Excellent voice and sound quality.

Weakness: Thin connection wire is easily suseptable to damage, I suggest sleeving and adhesive-lined heatshrinking over the wire for optimal wire integrity.

This is my second purchase of this headset, I originally got one for my laptop three months ago and planned on spending a good bit on the Zalman Surround Headphones for my gaming rig, but these are so good that I'm ordering another.

It only lacks low bass but they are headphones after all, and for the category they are excellent.

One peeve people tend to complain about however is the non adjustable Mic, but this is a good thing, it keeps the air turbulence caused by speaking into the microphone to a non-existent level, in turn making Teamspeak and Ventrilo that much more enjoyable for your teamates.

Overall eight out of ten.

Logitech Precision PC Gaming Headset

Strengths: The sound quality and microphone funtionality are acceptable, not extraordinary.

Weakness: The headset is obscenely uncomfortable, and after wearing it for about a half-hour, it starts to become loose and slide off your head. Your ears will by crying for mercy in about 15 minutes.

This is an example of ergonomics taking a backseat to style, and the style isn't even that appealing. I would strongly recommend buying a different headset.

If painful gaming is what you're after, this headset...

Strengths: Decent sound quality from speakers and microphone

Weakness: Painful to use for any length of time; mediocre construction; doesn't block out ambient noise very well; in-line controls stopped working

I was just as disappointed in this headset as I was in my previous Logitech headset. I like to wear glasses when I'm playing video games, but its impossible to do so with any comfort whatsoever with this headset. Even when not wearing glasses my ears begin to ache pretty badly after 20 or 30 minutes of gameplay. Unlike most other Logitech devices I own, this product seems very shoddily constructed--it just feels cheap. Joints and wire grommets were sort of loose out of the box, and little ridges of plastic where the parts came out of the mold are present. The in-line volume control malfunctioned within a week, and now only works intermittently, maybe about half the time. The sound quality is okay, though not great--I'm not sure of the correct terminology but the highs seem lower and the lows seem higher than they do from speakers or better headphones (this product doesn't even begin to compare to my $60 Sony headphones). The microphone works well, with very little noise or distortion. Even if the sound quality was amazing and the controls worked it wouldn't make up for how uncomfortable they are to wear. Sadly, I feel ripped off and won't be buying any more Logitech audio products.

For Gamerz

Strengths: Sturdy, light for its size, good sound for gaming, comfortable.

Weakness: Poor designed volume control

I really do like this headset. I do a lot of LAN gaming and this is the only one that has held up to lots of unprotected packing. ALL my other headsets have snapped, cracked or came apart. This one is still like new after 2 years of ruff use. It fits perfectly, does not slip or press too hard (I wear medium a size hats and helmets). For the big headed people (you know who you are) it may presses harder than they'd like. It does not put any pressure directly on my ears making it very comfortable after using it 8 hours at a time during 48 hr LANs. This is the only headset I've owned that at times I would forget I'm wearing them after extended use. Sound quality is above average for gaming but not the best sound reproduction for HiDef Music. The volume control is cumbersome. I have to use my fingernail to

Disappointed

Strengths: Sound Quality, Behind the head design, long cable

Weakness: Mic Quality, hurts a bit, can't adjust mic

I bought this headset without reading the reviews, which I should have. After I bought it, I opened the package and plugged it in. I went strait to a chat room with my friends, but they said that they couldn't hear me. What a disappointment. The mic quality was terrible, i had to shout and they still couldn't hear me. Maybe it was a defective model, or that the mic couldn't be positioned closer to my mouth, but I am very disappointed and am going to return it.

Great product for a great price.

Strengths: Great product for a great price.

Weakness: Gets irritating after wearing it for a hour and it's HUGE.

Item has a nice volume dial on the controller. If you're looking for something compact, don't get this. It's huge. Mic. works great. Volume is great. Bass is great. Can't really say much for a $25 item.

Satisfactory

Strengths: Voice

Weakness: Size

The product is good. You need to take it off your ears once in a while so as to relax your ears. Uncomfortable after a while. Size wise huge and big.

Strengths: fits good and comfortable

Weakness: mic is too far from head if you leave it on for too long starts to hurt because it pulls on your ears

somewhat disappointed

Strengths: applealing look

Weakness: headband

I bought this product because it was from Logitech and its picture looked nice. I had extremely good experience with Logitech mice, so I gave this set of headphones a try. The sound quality is not bad in this price range. But the design of the headband is out of my understanding. It isn't adjustable. The headphones can be only worn at one position, that is with the headband behind. You cannot move the microphone to and from your mouth either. It is not a product I would like to recommend to a friend.
