Another great headset from Logitech!

Strengths: I like how this headset and light and comfortable. It is very nice for using it for a long time. USB connection is a plus because its a cleaner interface than a standard audio jack

Weakness: A little too light, feels like it might break, but I haven't had issues with it before. Is not for the very heavy user.

I good headset for the basic user, I am a computer gamer, but I use voice chat pretty often. It is nice to have volume controls on the headset so you dont accidently mute yourself. It is a great headset with very good quality, but is a little light so you need to be very careful with it.

Logitech ClearChat Pro USB

Strengths: plug & play, simple usb connectivity

Weakness: none found yet...

bought this after doing reseach online & found this to be most compatable for my usage (occasional webinars, voice chat & music)...audio quality way better than I would've imagined, fairly comfortable after an hours usage tho' as reviewed does get a lil warm...really liked that the eq & volume settings were on the same side (right) & the mic on the left which gives the headset perfect balance & pivots out of the way when not in use...not a gamer @ all but would recommend this headset in a heartbeat...

great headset

Strengths: Very comfortable to wear. sounds quality is great (only used for skype). easy to adjust or mute the volume

Weakness: same to other headset, not comfortable for wearing longer than 1 hour; and the light to indicate the status of mute is hard to see when you are using it

The is best headset I have used for skype and also the most expensive one. I am really pleased with the performance, even though I prefer another one for music.

Comfortable USB Headset

Strengths: USB Connection, Comfortable

Weakness: None yet

I tried it in store, and decided to buy this through online.
I've been using cheap ones (~$10), and this is definitely the best I've tried. One of the best entry-level headset.
looking forward to using it.
Here are some updates:
Sometime, nose was't canceled.
Sounds are leaking to the surroundings, so people can hear the whole conversation if they are close even thought the volume was not loud.
Otherwise this is the perfect entry level headset for gaming and Skype.

A USB Headset that Clearly Works

Strengths: Plug'n play Simplicity; Sounds Great; Built-In Volume Adjustment; Equalizer Options; Comfortable; Mac Compatible

Weakness: None Yet

How much can you say about the Logitech ClearChat Pro USB headset? Simply plug it into an available USB port, and you can chat on the internet, listen to music, or record a podcast if that's your thing.
*
I purchased it mainly to enjoy some tunes while in front of my Mac - which recognizes it automatically without any need to install drivers. I could have gotten a pair of standard headphones and used the computer's headphone jack, but why limit things. Using a digital USB connection gives me the option to also speak and record directly without the fear of introducing analog static.
*
Sound quality is superb. I'm not an audiophile, but everything sounds clear and dynamic. Highs and lows are all there with good bass. Left and Right ears are balanced.
*
There are three pre-set Equalizer settings represented by icons for "Music", "Gaming", and "Voice". Select one for the appropriate task by adjusting the slider on the right ear piece.
*
Speaking of which, the best thing I like about the Logitech ClearChat Pro is the volume adjustment that's built into into the same right ear piece. Just click up or down on the plastic outer ring to increase or decrease volume. A little speaker icon then pops up on the computer screen that indicates volume level. It surprised me the first time it came up, but it works great. No more fumbling for the mouse.
*
As for comfort, the padded headset and ear cups are nice, but leaving them on for over an hour or so can get a little hot. Not the headset, but natural body heat that may be trapped.
*
My main concern is about durability and longevity. The plastic seems sturdy and light enough for what it is. I was happy to see that the single wire connection to the right ear is almost three times thicker than the previous Logitech model I owned (replaced because the left side lost sound out of the blue). The two year limited warranty on the ClearChat Pro should help with that fear.
*
The only other thing to note is the location of the boom mic on the left. Didn't expect that, nor does it interfere with use. Just different from the right side I've gotten used to. Then again, it's usually turned up and out of the way while listening to music anyway.

Meets my needs but was expecting more comfort

Strengths: Logitec is a good name and, after rebate, I was able to get this for a very fair price. The multiple sound settings are a nice feature and the headset seems sturdy. So far, the mike sounds clear.

Weakness: The mike does not swivel 180 degrees so you cannot choose which side to have the mike and cord on. The cushions on the ears are not as comfortable as I had hoped. The mute button too easy to push.

I am happy with the headset for the price I paid but, if I had it to do again, I would have waited for my local superstore to put the Playstation 2 headsets on sale and use that instead. I like the cord to be on either side of me and can't do this with this unit.
