Nice cooling bang for the buck!

Strengths: Ease of installation for LGA775 motherboards. This cooler is very quiet. Relatively cheap when compared to other CPU coolers on the market. Six year guarantee.

Weakness: Size: this bad boy is rather large, but understandably so!

I changed out my stock Intel CPU cooler for the Freezer 7 about 2 weeks ago. I have been pleased by the performance for the price I paid. I feel that this cooler is adequate even though other coolers on the market perform a little better at keeping the CPU temp even lower, however you are going to pay a lot more than $30+ for them. The heatsink design is very nice, plenty of fins to expel the hot air. The cooler is rather large, even more than my stock Intel cooler. The size is standard these days for an efficient cooler. The most impressive thing for me is the noise level on this cooler. This thing is barely audible, very nice! Overall, this was a sweet buy for me, nice price and very pleased.

Did you find it helpful or unhelpful?

Arctic Cooling Freezer

The Freezer is Arctic Cooling's "high-end" heatsink. At US$34 it is still relatively inexpensive, but is targeted at the performance market. Can this modest heatpiped HSF compete successfully in cooling performance while maintaining AC's reputation for low noise established with their Super Silent series?
