Strengths: EVERYTHING....amazing...90 WATTS..marvelous

Weakness: the sub woofer volume is on the sub woofer, i have to bend down every time i wan to adjust bass, but thats not so bad since these speakers rawk!!

I had creative inspire 5.1 before, but i decided to try these out, i threw the creative's out the window once i tried these altec's out, the bass sounds soo good, and the mids, highs are amazing, these speakers will rawk the house!!!!!!!!!!

Strengths: 5.1 Array Decent RMS

Weakness: Integrated input wires. Sub Control on box No Bass/Treble options

I have yet to break these in to a decent amount.

From my listening experience as of this point the speakers are excelent. For $61 this 5.1 set provides pleanty of sound for a small room. The only drawback so far though is that of the volume options.

The sound produced fills the room quite well. If the sub is positioned correctly there's pleanty of boom to be heard although having to reach back tends to kill things a bit if you put something unbalanced in for listening. For a value oriented 5.1 system though it still manages to get the job done.

Hooking these up to the computer for a few rounds of medal of honor the speakers held in fine while producing a field of bullets charging past my head.

Overall these look promising but they have a bit to be desired.

im really pleased with these speakers, they're great! i'm surprised to get such sound for such a low price. I can understand lyrics ive never heard on my old system!

Strengths: nice sounding bass

Weakness: to much static at high volume levels, morso coming from the center chanel.

Don't get me wrong these are decent speakers,but it would be hard for me to be impressed with the sound they put out while comparing them with the large variety of speakers I have heard and have owned through the years.If you are a gamer go for it, for music forget it, if you have any ear for music at all you will know what I am referring to immediately.

Strengths: * great sound quality and great price * you really wouldn't believe the bass these things put out (no you really wouldn't) *easy setup *well though-out setup (controls are on front right speaker)

Weakness: *had some crackeling at first when heavy bass was played but that quit after about 6 hours.

I've been using these things non-stop and my basic reaction is this: "you've GOT to be kidding me - these little things have THAT much bass". I'm not exaggerating on the bass, it's really good - almost overdone (if there is such a thing). Note I do have a SoundBlaster Audigy, which I also heavily reccomend. If you running on-board audio or a really lousy sound card - upgrade that otherwise the speakers won't do much good. But anyways, the bass is good and they sound good at higher levels as well. Setup is a snap and I know absolutely nothing about speakers - but these are idiot proof. Great 5.1 sound. If you like to play music and stuff excessively loud I would reccommend something in the $200 MSRP price range. But for only $100 MSRP these things are incredible - you CAN'T get a better set of speakers (that are in the same price range). Great for games and music. Only problem I've had is that they crackled some (especially the center channel) at first if they were hit with a lot of base, but they stopped after about a day (i guess they just had to get broken in).
