Excellent Video Card Choice...Silent, Fanless,...Strengths: Silent and Fanless yet it runs cooler than the stock cooler WITH A FAN! Excellent OCing capabilities, pushing 700/700/1000 without breaking a sweat... Weakness: None, Not for me, but it will take up 3 slots should you decide to use the optional Turbo Modules. The best option for video cards out there. Paid less than other 8800GT's and this came with an Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 R2 so I don't have to worry about warranty even if it's only 3 years. This should be the first option on everyone's list looking for an awesome yet silent video card. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Awesome Bang for the Buck...SilentStrengths: Well, first of all its silent, yet it performs on par if not better than the stock cooler. Fanless yet runs better than with stock fan. I got mine for the same price as the the stock one! Weakness: Only complain that I have is that the extra Turbo Fans require another slot for a total of 3 slots taken, and I have one too many video cards, sound card, RAID controller... Recommended all around...I got this for the same price as the ones with the stock fan so that is a definite plus...OCed past 700/700/1050 around normal to below normal temps...As far as I see, this is the best choice there is in terms of 8800GT's selection the bang/buck ratio...A+++ Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? perfect for gaming in the living roomStrengths: fast silent great drivers Weakness: takes up at least two slots I've been very happy using this for both video production and transcoding as well as the occasional game (like bioshock). If you don't mount the fans (and I don't) then it takes up two slots (the PCI-e x16 and the one on its left, facing the back of the case). It doesn't take up any space on the bottom side of the card like some passive coolers do. It might take even a third slot if you use the fans. If you don't use the fans, make sure your case has adequate airflow to pull out the heat radiating off the passive cooler. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ECS N8800GT-512MX+Strengths: Silent! Weakness: Runs a tad warm The ECS N8800GT-512MX+ has been a great addition for my HTPC. The 8800gt outperforms the 8800gts in almost every way and is about $100 cheaper. It runs silent as advertised, but also a little warm to hot. The unit does come with additional cooling fans that you can connect if you prefer, but isn't ideal for HTPC. Colors are excellent and performance is superb. Overall a great unit. ECS GeForce 8800 GT
Strengths: Accelero S1 Rev. 2 cooler, cool and quiet running, 8800GT performance
Weakness: size, exposed fan blades
Best part of this card is the cooling solution. The card can be run passively if you have good case cooling. Fans will lower temperature 4 degrees. A high speed 120mm will work better if you can tolerate noise. The cooler is very tall and may not fit in some cases. With the fans it takes up two pci slots.
