Not good for working out

Strengths: Sound good, I like the clip and the ability to shorten the cord.

Weakness: They do not sit on the ears, so they pull out very easy.

I purchased these because another reviewer mentioned that they were very good for working out. These headphones float above your ears, and so they pull out super easy, I could not even turn my head with my coat on without these popping out. I finally got them to be usable by seriously bending them so now they look like a crumpled ball, but at least they will stay in my ears now.

Sony MDR-AS50G Headphone Review

Strengths: Good comfort and fit. Definitely above average sound. Good bass response. Stylish. Good clip for running or anything active you're doing.

Weakness: Highs could be a little clearer.

I'd give this set of earphones 4.5 stars out of 5. It is everything you want an active set of earphones to be. Comfortable, good fit, good bass response (which is important for running music) and it doesn't break the bank. I know $50 is a little more than most people spend on earphones but if you appreciate good sound, you'd spend the money for the maximum output your MP3 player produces. Overall, it's great for active workouts. I'd say it's even good enough just to use leisurely.

Good headphone for working out and overall

Strengths: fit, sound quality

Weakness: having two cord segments (only slight weakness)

Headphones sound great and the fit is good and very clever. I have worn them for up to 2 hours and they are quite comfortable. They have a short cord if you keep your MP3 player on an armband and a second "extender" cord if you want to reach your belt. This is probably the only weakness as I will usually put the cord inside my shirt to reach my belt and keep the cord out of the way. A couple of times the connection between the two cords has separated.

Sony MDR-AS50G Active Headphones

THE GOOD: The Sony MDR-AS50G Active Headphones feature an innovative design that spirals down for easy, compact storage, and it helps to ensure a secure fit. The modular cable is ideal for fitness and portable applications. The sound quality is good, and the price is fair. THE BAD: The Sony MDR-AS50Gs band tends to stick out from the sides of the head, which can make it hard to conceal under...
