Sony NP-FG1 InfoLITHIUM Battery

Strengths: Awesome battery life, Very good price, Replaced the degrading NP-BG1, Sony product what else can you say!

Weakness: Nothing so far for my Sony DSC-H50B

It has gotta good battery life which lasted for more than 3.5+ hours in total for my Sony DSC-H50B consistently. I have the NP-BG1 which came along with the DSC-H50, but this NP-FG1 is the right replacement for Sony NP-BG1 which Sony has stopped production. It came with a good price of $32 including taxes. Im very happy with the product so far. I would definitely recommend.

Sony NP-FG1 Info - Lithium Battery

Strengths: For the Sony DSC-H50 camera

Weakness: None

I purchased this to have an additional battery for my camera. It is better then the NP-BG1 battery that came with the camera. This one shows the actual minutes left in shooting time as opposed to the 4 segment bar graph thats on the original battery. If you multiply the minutes remaining x2 you will have the approximate amount of pictures left that you can shoot until the battery dies.
Very few cameras have this capability and is one Sony's best features.

Sony NP-FG1 battery

Strengths: Genuie, very good price thru PriceGrabber.com

Weakness: InfoLithium technology(display of number of minutes remaining) is only available to certain camera, but not my Sony DSC-T20 D-Cam.

I am a little disappointed that when I found that the small wording suggest the display of minutes remaining only works for device that has infothium logo only. I doubt that why would I buy NP-FG1 rather than NP-BG1.

Otherwise, the one that is in my camera right now I have been using for eight days with a lot of shooting and playing with controls, and it has just dropped down to less than half of availability. I find that above acceptable for battery time, so I am very pleased.

I also appreciate that it comes with a nice, perfectly sized, hard plastic case for storage when not in use.
