Strengths: Great picture quality, even with analog signal. Crystal clear images with minimal ghosting. After moving up from a 21" CRT all I can say is wow, I should have done this sooner!

Weakness: My 1st monitor was defective with a row of bad pixels.

After many months of researching different brands and sizes of LCD monitors I decided to take a closer look at the 213T. At first I was apprehensive about purchasing it as the picture quality didn't seem to be as good as other LCD monitors on display of smaller size. I bought it anyway under the terms that I could return it if I wasn't happy with it. Once I got it home was I ever in for a pleasant surprise. All I can say is the picture quality of this monitor is simply superb! The display model setup didn't do this monitor justice. Trust the good reviews on Pricegrabber, you won't be disappointed.

My 1st 213T had to be returned as it was defective with a row of bad pixels. I was able to exchange it without any hassle. A side from this, I still rate this monitor highly. For someone who spends most of their day on a computer like I do the pixels are priceless.

Strengths: Awesome picture quality! nothing compares. all in one solution (business or gaming), toggle/dual PC support via analog or digital connection. Pivot feature. and of course 21" !!!

Weakness: Price could be lower. Currently $1099-$100 rebate best buy. little mouse cursor ghosting on desktop with gray colored bkground or wallpaper but who stares on desktop all day? we run apps right?

Bought it last September 2003 at best buy for $1399 after $100 rebate. product was fairly new back then. I had 2nd thoughts using this for FPS but my worries went away the first time I ran BF1942 and Call Of Duty and FS2003. This monitor rocks! Playing as sniper on Call of Duty gives me an edge in my games as I can clearly see my enemies hiding :) I am also a web applications developer and I tell you using this with MS Visual Studio and Web Sphere dev't environment and Flash is very convenient because you can now view multiple windows without switching or minimizing a lot.

I am using a Radeon 9800XT on DVI connection. no regrets! waiting for DOOM3 and HL2, sigh...

Strengths: Nice big display

Weakness: Lamp goes dim and flickers in less than 1 year

After using this monitor for 1 year, the back light has become dim. It will no longer calibrate with Optical as the blue channel is very weak. I now have the brightness turned up to 100 and it is dim compared to a newer version of the same monitor.

Strengths: excellent clarity and color. The large size makes design work much easier.

Literature claimed monitor is Mac compatible, but it was unclear that Pivot pro (additional software) which allows the screen image to be viewed both vertically and horizontally is not OSX compatible. I also found the written installation instructions not clear for the Mac. The instructions called for a second cable that was not included (not mentioned ahead of time), but in actuality, to view digitally, this was not necessary. It took two phone calls to the manufacturer to get the right information. Now that the monitor is working I love it.

Strengths: Beautiful, sharp graphics and text. Screen rotation works well. Looks great on my desk which is no longer dominated by a monitor.

Weakness: DVI cable supplied (6') was a bit too short for my needs and I had to buy another. It's expensive.

This monitor was perfect out of the box. I use it intensely for text and graphics and I love it. I paid $1300 (tax + shipping) at CircuitCity online with a $100 rebate and would do it again in a second. At first, I couldn't figure out how to raise the screen. I emailed Samsung on a Sunday evening and had a response Monday morning. I emailed them again for their recommendations on cleaning the screen and again had an answer the next morning. Great product with superlative support.

Strengths: If you want the best of the best than you need to have this LCD monitor. NO GHOSTING WITH GAMES AT ALL. I PLAY GHOST RECON, FS2003, BATTLEFIELD. THE DIGITAL OUTPUT IS SO CLEAR.

Weakness: NONE.

This is the best of the best when it comes to LCD monitors or any other in my eyes.

We play allot of games at our house. I can tell you their is no ghosting with this monitor. It have a very clear and crisp screen. Very easy to use. The pivot software is outstanding.

I would recommend this for the ultimate gammer, buisness person, or to the man who wants the best of the best.

the price at best buy was $1,299.00 when I bought it two months ago.

Strengths: nice picture (colors, contrast - perfect), great featurs.

Weakness: dead pixels

I got my first 213T with one full column of dead pixels. After replacemnet the first seven days everything was fine, and then I got one dead pixel. the next day a couple more. now I'm waiting for the next replacement.

Strengths: Pivots to portrait for Tablet PC use. Did not have to use extra software. Recognized portrait with HP TC1100 Tablet PC

Weakness: None

Beautiful picture even at non-native resolution of 1024x768. Wonderful when used in a dual monitor role at up to 1600x1200. Have found nothing to complain about.

This monitor is the best of the best. The picture on the screen is crystal clear. Pivot it to verticle and see web pages as they should be. I am totally 100% satisfied. You pay a little more for it but you get all back day after day using it.

Fantastic Large LCD Screen at a Great Value

Strengths: Huge Size, 1600x1200 resolution, great clarity, at a great price

Weakness: Slower response than many newer displays

When my 6-year-old 21" CRT failed recently, I surveyed the market for flat panel displays to replace my huge monitor. I had thought that I would only be able to afford a 19" LCD, but then I found out about the larger Syncmaster 213T which was a comparable price to most of the 19" LCD flat panels. Before I purchased it, I was initially concerned about the slower response time of this display, but after receiving it and using it, I sure haven't needed anything with a faster response. I haven't observed any issues with ghosting in either image editing or video editing. We don't play many interactive computer games, but I can't imagine this monitor would have ghosting problems unless the users are very picky!

We love the large, bright, crisp display! It has excellent lateral viewing (another person can easily "shoulder-surf" by the side of the computer user), provides a great image, has native 1600x1200 resolution, and takes up little desk space. I recommend this monitor very highly!

Strengths: This monitor Rocks!

Weakness: none

I purchased 3 213T's working on a Radson 9800 and NVidia Insane 256 Mgs graphics cards (Windows XP). The monitor on the DVI port is INCREDIBLE! The other two monitors (due to the analog signal) have a bit of blur. These replaced my Princeton Graphics and 2 ViewSonic LCD's. Definitely a great buy!

Strengths: Very large viewing screen, excellent color/clarity. This is simply a beautiful monitor. My last monitor was a 19" CRT and it just doesn't compare.

Weakness: n/a

What else can I say? I play a lot of memory intensive games and there is absolutely no ghosting. If you can afford this monitor, it is the best 21" you can buy. And you can't beat the coolness factor of having it on your desk!

Strengths: Flawless image and performance

This was an upgrade from a Sony 19" that I had been using for about a year. I did not expect to see much of a difference, other than size, but I was wrong. This is one awesome monitor! Everything is crystal clear. I use it at 1600x1200 and can read even the finest print. I do a lot of graphics work and appreciate the Pivot Pro program (included) which lets me work on long pages with ease. Samsung has really earned my respect for putting out such a high quality product. It has worked perfectly from the first time I fired it up.

Strengths: huge screen! Great picture quality, no ghost. High resolution. Very clear. Cheaper than others this size

Weakness: Blacks are a little lighter than crt's, Not too bad though. Still a 5!

Great monitor. The screen is of course huge and very clear. Games look great. DVI and VGA inputs included. Decent 3 year warrenty. Cheaper than others of this size. If you want a large monitor and can't afford the wide screen, this is an excellent choice. Works great, saves space, also the high resolution really lets any great video card shine. I would say if you dont have a great computer don't spend the money for this item. THis monitor is for the higher end user only. Unless you've got money to burn

Strengths: the shape is ok.

Weakness: It does not have a good clarity.

I just bought it and tested it, the clarity is poor. Then I compare the monitor with my 19" Sony flat pannel, it's worse. I work a lot on TV program editing, this monitor is not the right one even for game playing. I have to return the monitor. Samsung has to work hard to be compatitive in the market.

just dont

Strengths: Big screen, easy to dual display, can rotate the screen.

Weakness: not much use for anything you want to be graphically appealing. 500:1 contrast ratio, not good for video/gaming. very bad 25 ms response time, for real gaming you are going to need 8 ms or less.

over all for viewing things such as documents and stuff you will be fine. dont expect to use this monitor for gaming or video editing. the price is also outrageous still for this monitor. just save your money and get a totally better monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 204B) for cheaper.
