Antec PRO 120mm DBB Case Fan

Strengths: Quiet fan, moves a lot of air, looks great!

Weakness: The variable speed option does not seem to work well with my motherboard.

I have a Chaintech mother board and I replaced my CPU cooling unit and attached this fan to the unit. Attached to the motherboard through the same three connector point the fan runs at 2000 rpm all the time. It should run slower but I think its a mother board issue rather then a fan issue. Otherwise the fan is awesome, the clear plastic looks really cool, and the 3 to 4 port adapter makes it versitile for if I want to move it around in my case or to another case.

Antec PRO 120mm DBB Case Fan

Strengths: Very quite, powerful, and easy install.

Weakness: NONE

I bought this unit for my new system. It's the second fan of the Antec Sonata. It runs very smooth and useful to increase air flow. The installation is easy and the manual is helpful. The fan is clear instead of black and looks very cool. Highly Recommended.

According to previous reviews and my experiences, connecting it with motherboard connector is a better choice.

Antec PRO 120mm DBB Case Fan

Strengths: VERY QUIET AND WAS EASY TO INSTALL

Weakness: NONE

I PURCHASED THIS FOR USE AS A SECOND FAN IN AN ANTEC SONATA. AT FIRST I USED THE REGULAR MOLEX POWER CONNECTIONS...BIG MISTAKE!!! COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHY IT WAS SO LOUD UNTIL I READ THE SONATA MANUAL WHICH MADE ME REALIZE MY MISTAKE. AFTER CONNECTING TO THE "FAN ONLY" CONNECTIONS I WAS EXTREAMELY SATISFIED IN THE FAN's AIR FLOW AND HOW QUIET IT WAS. I'd RECOMMEND THIS FAN TO ANYONE THAT OWNS AN ANTEC SONATA.

Antec PRO 120mm DBB Case Fan

Strengths: Quiet

Weakness: None

I purchased this as a second fan for my Antec Sonata case. It's virtually silent when plugged into the Antec Truepower power supply which automatically ramps up the fan speed with increasing case temperature. I'm not overclocking in this case. I just wanted good air flow. Easy install. Mine came clear instead of black which I think looks cool any way. As you can tell I like Antec's products. I think the quality is top notch.

Antec PRO 120mm DBB Case Fan

Strengths: Moves a lot of air

Weakness: Noise

The fan is clear. I mounted in an Antec SLK3700AMB case as a front intake blowing across the hard drives. It moves a very high volume of air and increased the airflow exiting the rear of the case. It is louder than expected, so get use to some noise.

Antec PRO 120mm DBB Case Fan

Strengths: Good airflow, good price, 3 & 4 pin connector

Weakness: Makes whining noise at full speed

This is quite a good fan that provides good air flow. At 12V it runs at ~2000rpm. At this speed it makes a whining noise. I bought the clear one--perhaps the black one has better performance. By lowering the voltage, this fan still moves a good amount of air with acceptible noise levels. Not a quiet fan, but many other 120mm fans that run at this speed will make a good deal of noise as well. My suggestion is to get a fan controller or use a program like speedfan.

Antec PRO 120mm DBB Case Fan

Strengths: None

Weakness: My Antec 120mm fan didn't work.

I bought this Antec fan retail because Antec is supposed to have the most durable and quiet fans on the market. I was not please when I opened it an found that it didn't work at all.

Antec PRO 120mm DBB Case Fan

Strengths: Very Quiet.

Weakness: None

I bought this as my second fan for my Antec Sonata Case. It's very quiet and cools my computer very well, just as my first one, so i know it works great and stays quiet. Recommended for anyone who needs a 120mm fan.

Antec PRO 120mm DBB Case Fan

Strengths: I like the size.

Weakness: You can definately hear that it's installed. It's not excessively loud, but not especially quiet, either.

I'm using this as an intake fan on my desktop system. The case is designed for 4x 80mm fans, but this is a lot cheaper and as effective (for what I'm running)

Antec PRO 120mm DBB Case Fan

Strengths: Easy to install, fits nicely into the antec sonata, & fairly quiet

Weakness: Did not come with screws that fit easily, no instructions that came with the fan.

As with all Antec products, I would say that this is a quality item. The fan that I received was clear, unlike that which is shown in the picture. Although this does not match the rear fan in the Antec Sonata, it's not a big deal for me as there is no window in my case.

The screws that came with the fan didn't really fit into the holes. I didn't want to squeeze the screws in and permanently put the fan in. However this isn't a big deal -I just used the clear rubber "screws" that came extra with my Sonata case.

There is no instructions that came with the fan. On the box, it asks you to go onto their website to look for directions. Although on one hand it's more hassle, however I do believe in saving trees! :) It's not a big deal though, just install the new fan in the same direction as the fan in the rear of your computer (So that they are facing the same direction).

As for noise level, I did not notice any additional volume increase. Although, that does not say much as my CPU fan is quite loud.

Over all, I am quite pleased with the purchase, the fan was not costly, and the quality worth it.

Antec PRO 120mm DBB Case Fan

Strengths: As expected, the large 120mm size moves a lot of air with minimal noise.

Weakness: I'm not too thrilled about having two different connectors hanging off it. I wish they supplied an adapter instead (for those who need it) to keep the wires tidy inside the case.

I too bought this fan for my Antec Sonata case. I'm running a 3.0 Ghz Pentium 4, which runs hot and is prone to overheating. This fan has helped to alleviate the problem.

Antec PRO 120mm DBB Case Fan

Strengths: Good looking fan and moves a good amount of air out of tower.

Weakness: none.

I put this fan in the side of an old ATX tower that did not have a good place to put a 120 mm fan, so I drilled a bunch of 38" holes in the left side of the tower and mounted the fan there away from touching anything and it works great!

Antec PRO 120mm DBB Case Fan

Strengths: Powerfull. Really high speed and big amount of air. 3 different types of power connector. ANTEC

Weakness: Little bit noisy, but only because of high speed of air.

After installation of this cooler temperature of MB decreased from 104F to 93F(I have Antec case with two 120mm coolers now, P4-2.8, 2 HDD).

Very Quiet! Quality Fan from Antec

Strengths: Quiet, Easy Installation, Includes 3-pin Motherboard Connector with 4-pin Adapter for older motherboards

Weakness: Pricey, but well built and quiet!

A reliable, quality fan from Antec. I purchased this as a front fan for an Antec SLK3800B case. The fan works perfectly, and was a snap to install into the Antec case. The fan runs extremely quietly and moves a fair bit of air -- it should have no troubles keeping the HDDs cool at the front of the roomy Antec case.

Antec 120mm Fan

Strengths: Pretty quiet and moves quite a bit of air

Weakness: Installation is unconventional

I bought this fan as the front intake fan to my Antec Sonata case. I've only connected this fan and the original case fan that came with the case through the "fan only" wires and so far they have been very quiet. The loudest fan is clearly my CPU fan spinning at about 5000 rpm. Like many other 120mm fans, this one moves a lot more air when compared to 80mm fans while spinning at a much lower rpm. I used the special plastic screws that came with my case to install this fan, presumably to further reduce noise by eliminating vibration. I think conventional screws are more intuitive. Also my fan is clear instead of black, as shown in the picture.

Antec PRO 120mm DBB Case Fan

Strengths: moves lots of air

Weakness: too loud for 120mm

You should know that this fan is actually clear. I have another antec 120mm fan (a black one) which is significantly quieter than this fan and seems to move the same amount of air. Don't know if the clear housing has something to do with it. (Different material maybe).

Antec PRO 120mm DBB Case Fan

Strengths: quiet and powerful

Weakness: none

I purchased this fan to act as a suction fan at the front end of my antec SLK3700AMB CASE.Easy to install.Connected to the motherboard. Helped to reduce the CPU temperature within limits as recommended by intel. I am pleased with the performance.
