Diamon Radeon HD 4870 X2 Video Card
Strengths: Two GPUs on one board
Weaknesses: No noticeable performance improvement
Review:  I spent a good deal of money on the Diamon Radeon HD 4870 X2 Video Card. On the spec, this is the fastest card you can get, without crossfire or SLI. However, the performance improvement over a single 8800GT is not significant at all. In fact, it appears to be choppy at times in Gears of War. So for now, I'm putting this card in my closet and opt for a 8800GT SLI configuration. I'm...

Fast and cheap.... well, relatively speaking...
Strengths:  Fast fast fast. Consistently faster than a GTX 285 with the latest 9.3 catalyst drivers in particular and not as pricey as the GTX 295. Fairly quiet...
Weaknesses: Hot hot hot. This thing runs hot enough to scorch fingers at full tilt. Fairly noisy under certain circumstances.
Review: Close in performance to the GTX 295, but for less money. Dual monitor support works despite the dual GPU configuration. Has NVidia solved this by now?

Visiontek Radeon HD 4870
Strengths: Great Card for its price. Alot faster than my 8800 GT.
Weaknesses: Huge card, wont fit in most cases. This thing is really hot 80 degrees celsius at bootup.
Review:  I bought this card and it is hands down an amazing card for the price. I mostly play Crysis and this has no problems playing with all settings on high 1440*900 getting a stable 40+ fps. It breezes thru games without any issue and should be able to play any game for years to come. The only real issue I have with it is it gets really hot really fast. It starts off at 80 degrees celsius and gets to...
