Microsoft Office 2003 Professional Full Version can help organizations and... more
Strengths: Seeing your money go to Microsoft makes you feel warm and tingly inside.
Weaknesses: There is a learning curve required for this upgrade. It is NOT user-friendly. Help and tutorials are pathetic. Plan on getting a book. Most new...
Review: If you don't REALLY need the 2003 version, don't bother. Use your older, familiar versionUnless this is your first copy, then you might as well start here. If you do use 2003 (or XP), you really will need a book or two that explains the new version. And don't count on more productivity unless you are a serious pro on a network. Home and small business users have not gotten much...

Cheap way to get outlook 2007
Strengths: Did not have to spend big bucks on the office suite of which no one likes. But when it comes to email I get a lot of requests for outlook 2007
Weaknesses: Does not upgrade properly
Review: Good alternative to purchasing the expensive suite. But has problems upgrading when you have an older version of office and install this as a standalone. When you go to upgrade it microsoft thinks you have office 2007 and will not upgrade properly.

Pretty, Bloated, and Crashy
Strengths: Pretty. Some interesting UI changes.
Weaknesses: Bloated and crashy.
Review: MS has made some interesting user interface face changes, but they are not, in my opinion, well thought out. Same strange allocations of features among differing 'ribbons' (no more menus) - and there's little provision for customizing. Speaking of customizing, Styles and style management have gone through some interesting UI changes, but still not well structured - and predicting...

To update, or not to update: That is the question
Strengths: Clean new look and feel, efficient layout, increased Access tools and features.
Weaknesses: Expensive, Few improvements to word, excel and outlook.
Review: The office 2007 layout is very different, and it will take a little while to get use to. My first response was that I did not like it because I could not find the things I needed. This happens to me every time Microsoft changes their menus and layout. Over time you begin to see their logic and it becomes comfortable and efficient to work with. The improved tool set for Access was what caused me...

Strengths: A great deal more options
Weaknesses: A lot more cumbersome, not as user friendly
Review: Have only used Outlook 2007 of this product so far, a lot more options for doing things and therefore harder to use. Do not like the View options.Importing Address book & my three e-mail accounts resulted in three of everything causing more work to delete the extras. This program needs work.

MS Office 2007 Professional
Strengths: User friendly, easier to navigate tasks.
Weaknesses: Huge program. Make sure you have lots of disk space. Price. Components packaged together, i.e. Powerpoint, Excel, One Note
Review: A new computer came with the trial version of this which allowed me to explore this office suite. Naturally, because of all the cool upgrades and additions, it was pretty hard to go BACK to using Office 2003 at work. Although I didn't "need" this product, I went ahead and purchased Office 2007 Professional because it has so many new features that I wanted to explore. I really like...

Weaknesses: None that I have found so far. Functionality and appearance changes require some adjustment in how I use the programs. In a short period of use I...
Review: At work or in my home I have used a version of each generation of MS Office (I realize there is not a sequential generational link among all the versions). I am pleased so far with my transition to this newer, more complete suite. First, the 2003 Suite was the easiest way to complete my 2003 Basic (which I agreed to by mistake). Second, After some research it became clear that paying the extra...

Good solid software suite, but not a giant leap from...
Strengths: More Powerpoint features for slicker products, some desktop publishing tools in Word, better Excel formula references
Weaknesses: Time needed to adjust to new interfaces (if you used previous version)
Review: Overall this is a very good software product, with added features that make it better than the previous version. However, changes are not revolutionary enough to warrant a 'must upgrade' recommendation. New interfaces take a little time to get used to as you unlearn old habits. For users new to MS Office, you'll find this to be a powerful and feature-laden suite of productivity...
