Strengths: Small form factor comes with all you need including nice bundled disaster recovery software.
Weaknesses: Software is proprietary and only works with drive. The USB cable is also proprietary and had difficulty having it boot/charge from another.

Weaknesses: A little slower than some...5400 rpm vs. 7200 rpm
Review: While the hard drive at 5400 rpm, it still works pretty fast with the firewire connections. The options of firewire, USB 1 and 2 are excellent. Also, I was able to plug my digital camera as an input into the hard drive instead of having to go through my laptop. Movie files are extremely memory intensive, so this elimated my problem with my C:/ drive temp file filling up.

Review: Maxtor drives are okay, nothing special but they do what they need to. The thing I don't like is the 1 year warranty. This is something Seagate has tried to change by setting all its warranties to 5 years. I recommend buying a seagate instead if it's close in price.

Strengths: Extremely quiet and fast. Lasts very long.
Weaknesses: None.
Review: I've had this hard drive running on my PC for FOUR years this December and have never had any problems. The hard drive works the same exact way as the first day I turned on my computer. Review: I bought a pair of these to run in a Raid strip. I feel like I almost stole these because of the price. These drives use to be around 3 hundred dollars and probably worth it.
