Medium Quality Product

Strengths: 12 pixelpipelines, 500Mhz Core, 500Mhz (1000) DDR3 256bit Memory, AGP

Weakness: Cannot unlock extra 4 pipe, they are lasercut by manufacure

This card can be overclocked 20-30% with stock cooling. With aftermarket device, it is possible to oc even more. Please be aware that, unlike nvidia, ati cards need to use bios-flash to override manufacture pixelpipeline settings; not to mention, not all card can be unlocked. If you are choosing between 6800xt and x850pro, i ll suggest 6800 instead, since there are many versions of x850pro cannot...

Good upgrader for AGP users

Strengths: fast, ATI quality, overclockable

Weakness: stock fan doesn't cool down so well, you may or may not unlock 4 extra pipes

I was using a Radeon 8500 32MB vedio card, yet wanted to play some video games without completely upgrading MOBO, CPU & everything. i picked up this AGP card, it runs fast. haven't overclocked so much since no new cooler yet. the stock fan is just not for overclocking. It's a good upgrader for all AGP users. i would recommend it if you can find a good deal

ATI is the way to go

Strengths: Works great with high end games such as (Half-Life2),(CS: Source),(Doom 3),(Sims2),(COD:2)and (F.E.A.R)

Weakness: None that I have found. Some people say that it's loud but I really don't care about the noise anyways with my surround sound cranked up

I got a system with a 9800 Pro 128 in it and it ran just about everything I put into it. The only draw back was that I had to run my games at mid grade settings. I've had nVidia cards before and they all gave me trouble except for my GeForce4 Ti 4200, which was a great card. I decided to upgrade to the X850 Pro and I am glad I did. This card has handled everything I've thrown at it so far...

Upgraded from a 9800 pro

Strengths: Powerful, AGP, Easy install, Price

Weakness: Loud, noisy, loud

I had the 9800 pro 128 in my machine before and decided to upgrade to the x850. It was a good price, only 50 more than I paid for the 9800 pro when I bought it. I works like a champ, it is a great card for games and for the price is worth the purchase. The only downfall is this thing is horribly loud, it is one of the loudest cards I have ever heard. Much louder than my old 9800, its sad because...

ATI Radeon X850

Strengths: Good value for the price

Weakness: You pay your money and you take your chance (on the extra 4 pipelines)

I selected the X850 as an upgrade to my current LeadTek A250 Ultra (Ti4600 VIVO). As my motherboard is still an AGP (not a PCI-E), this limited my graphic card selection. After searching the net for reviews on the top models from both Nvidia and ATI, I settled on the X850 as being the best compromise of both price and power. I also crossed my fingers that the board I got (as I forgot to inquire...

ATI Radeon X850PRO Graphics Card

Strengths: Unlocked to 16 pipes. OCed to 535/575.

Weakness: The stock heatsink and fan.

The stock HSF that comes with this is garbage. It has to run at 100% to just barely cool down the card. I got a Zalman 700 VGA cooler and my temps dropped ~20C as well as being nearly silent.

Outstanding Video Card

Strengths: High quality graphics, and colors give 3-d effects.

Weakness: none

Top notch video card for the hard core gamer looking for clear, and crisp graphics that will intensify gameplay. A must buy, the colors and fluid movements take gaming to a higher level.

Excellent Card for the Buck

Strengths: 1. Awesome performance in 3D games. 2. AGP 3. Inexpensive relative to other cards on the market 4. Quiet

Weakness: 1. Only 12 pipelines 2. AGP 3. Catalyst Control Center is slow and useless 4. Could not get it to softmod

Bought the card thinking I could get it to an X850XT PE by flashing it with the PE Bios. Didn't work, lots of black screens, crahses, etc, so I reflashed it back to the regular X850 Pro. It runs well in games for the price ($250) and is very quiet for a mid-highend videocard.

the last card an agp user should buy!

Strengths: the cheapest highend card i can find overclock rates are qutie sucessful superb graphics on every game

Weakness: none

this video card was by far the best I have owned. it compares to a 7600gt and the card i compared it to was a 7600gt ko. I settled with this card because this card was $50 cheaper and it already has good enough capabilities for my gaming needs. overall i would recommend this card to any occasional to the avg gamer.

X850 AGP Pro

Strengths: Fast; good compatibility; overclocks well

Weakness: Stock cooling not very good

This card is a great upgrade for an older PC with an AGP slot. At one point, it was near the top of the performance charts, although it would be considered a mid-range card today and should compete very favorably with an nVidia 7600GT but cost a few dollars less. I purchased this to replace a ATI 9800 Pro and it has at least doubled every tested benchmark. All modern games are very playable at...
