I had no idea a mouse could make such a difference

Strengths: The feel..its the first thing you really notice. Not just slick plastic. The feet make this slide like it's on glass.

Weakness: Adjusting to the speed. For me it's like have a totally new device.

I'm still adjusting all of the settings which makes this mouse totally able to customize to my gaming style. Thanks to price grabber I got a way good deal. The weighted pad that you can adjust is great..like having a weighted poolstick. For anyone serious about gaming you have to get one of these..but allow for the learning curve cause this mouse is like no other.

best mouse. period.

Strengths: programmable dpi settings (from 400 dpi to 2000dpi), superslick feet, adjustable weights, ergonomics, side to side tilt wheel, great texture

Weakness: none so far

just the best mouse. it does take some tweaking with the weight and the dpi settings, to best suit your style/usage/screen resolution & monitor size. (with cs:s i max out the dpi to 2000, but surfing/productivity i like it at 1000dpi) it's not as light as a cheap, no-brand mouse. but it's certainly lighter than mx1000. i've read that some people are experiencing problems with the g5 with their...

Fantastic Mouse For Everybody...Not Just Gamers

Strengths: Corded laser mouse, adjustable DPI on the fly, 6 programmable buttons, glides extremely well on most surfaces, weight-adjustable, and very comfortable for right-handers

Weakness: Expensive, initial learning curve to the different DPI settings, right-handed only

Well, after 4 years of using my old Logitech optical mouse, I decided to pick up a this mouse. I was looking for a corded laser mouse and I saw this was the only Logitech corded mouse available and initially I balked at the price tag thinking it couldn't be worth it. I saw that there was MS corded laser mouse for about $20 cheaper and was debating if the extra money would be worth it. I bought...

It's Finally Here

Strengths: Laser, 2000dpi, 500 reports per second, stylish, contoured to your hand (ergonomically designed), adjustable mouse speed, wired, customizable weights, "teflon" feets

Weakness: Not wireless, overly large software/driver install, right handed only

The wait is finally over, a mouse that is both uses laser and is corded. Perhaps one of the biggest problem for Logitech is product variety. Unlike Microsoft, Logitech focuses on specific sectors and areas prior to releasing other products, which in turn hurts Logitech's ability to give potential buyers options. Consider that their MX1000 mouse is the first laser mouse. Logitech has never...

The #1 Gaming Mouse...

Strengths: 1. Super accurate tracking 2. Very comfortable mouse shape 3. Space age pads on the bottom of the mouse make it seem like it's floating on air 4. Excellent looks and design

Weakness: 1. Middle mouse button is very hard to click

My previous mouse was an ancient Microsoft Intellimouse, with a ball. I've lasted about 6 years with it, and it was time for a change. I play many FPS online games, and it just got too frustrating with it's poor tracking and sensitivity. Enter the Logitech G5. This thing is amazing. I'll admit, it took me a few days to get used to the shape and button placement. But now it feels just perfect. I...

g5 The next generation Gaming Mouse

Strengths: Adjustable weight, sensitivity adjustment on the fly, 2000 dpi, programmable buttons.

Weakness: Only one side button, might be a liltle hard to find the weight you like. weight distribution.

Overall, g5 is really all that a gamer could ever need for a mouse. Since it uses a laser censor, it is incredibly sensitivity. You can adjust weight to find what really fits you. It is a great product for gamers. Some of the things i did not like about the mouse: 1. Compare to 518, it will take you a little longer to get used to the mouse. 2. The middle button is a little stiff. 3. Weight...

Best corded mouse I've ever owned

Strengths: Excellent responsiveness, great ergonomics, button-selectable sensitivity levels, adjustable weighting system, braided cord, included software has some nice features.

Weakness: Can be pricey, no right side button, software doesn't allow for individual game specific settings, corded (if that can be considered a weakness).

I've used quite a few mice over the years, and I must say the Logitech G5 is by far the best I've ever used. There's a reason Logitech is an industry leader in computer peripherals, and the G5 is no exception. Excellent responsiveness: Most optical/laser mice I've used have exhibited at least a slight amount of lag from time to time, especially when picking them up to reposition them. Also, many...

G5 issues READ BEFORE BUYING

Strengths: On the fly resolution, ergonomics, resoultion.

Weakness: Mouse wheel issues.

I bought this mouse for playing games, specifically first person shooters. Seeing as the mouse claims to be designed for gamers by gamers I figured these guys should get it right. Well they didn't. Two issues: First the mouse wheel spring is very strong. You have to concentrate on pressing it hard to activate it. Pretty much useless when in an intense stand off. Second is that the mouse wheel up...

Excellent mouse for the true gamer

Strengths: Great comfort, Slick design, Laser Mouse, Weights make it PERFECT

Weakness: Wired, Only 1 thumb button

I can't believe how awesome this mouse is. The 2000 DPI screams for accuracy and can be adjusted to your liking. Logitech always makes top notch products and it's no wonder I have there other products in my house. I initally held out for the MX518 but this blows it away. The only thing I'm bugged about is that it isn't wireless(hey that's what the G7 is for) and it also has 1 thumb button. I...

Very comfortable and accurate

Strengths: This mouse was one of the best I've tried, and I've tried many. I've never had one fit to my hand so well, and I have big hands. The mouse felt solid and like it will last many years.

Weakness: None

This is a great mouse...well worth the money and I would buy it again in a heart beat. This is much better than a roller mouse. If you use your computer often, get this.

The Ultimate Mouse Hunt

Logitech includes eight tuning weights weighing 0.16 oz. and eight weighing 0.06 oz. . So you can vary the weight of the mouse from 3.95 oz.-5.43 oz. in increments of one gram. Get ready to spend a lot of time making adjustments. But at least you'll have the exact weight that suits you. This may be going slightly overboard, but some people will like it.
