SyncMaster 970P Silver 19
Strengths: Bright Sharp Image, no apreciable Ghosting while playing games.
Weakness: ocasional jumpy images while playing Dvd movies, maybe mine needs to be calibrated better. Expensive
This the first LCD that I own, altough i had used LCDs before, this one have the most outstanding beautiful colors and very sharp image. I specially love the sturdy base and versatile flexible arm,the inclusion of both cables dvi and analog is a nice touch.Intallation of software was kind of troublesome, maybe my 2yrs old PC is to blame for this, still i long for the regular buttons outside the...

SyncMaster 970P Silver 19
Strengths: Clear, sharp images; excellent color. Screen is bright, but not too bright. Adjustable height in vertical and horizontal directions. Convenient power button.
Weakness: MagicBright II, MagicTune, MagicZone and MagicColor features can be hard to remember if not used regularly.
My gaming is limited to solitaire, mahjong and jigsaw puzzles but I am into digital photography so I wanted a monitor that would give me bright, clear, sharp images. The SyncMaster 970P comes with lots of features that can be overwhelming but I find I don't make many setting changes as the picture looks great no matter what I'm doing. Screen is bright but doesn't blind. My printed photos look...

Worth every penny: a monitor to die for
Strengths: Stylish monitor, adjustable arm, outstanding picture and performance in graphics-intensive apps
Weakness: Clunky software, expensive for a 19" LCD with 1280x1024 resolution, a bit flimsy stand, contrast too high out of the box
Besides the Apple 30" screen which is absolutely gorgeous but expensive, this is the LCD to get if you 1) own an iMac and/or iBook, 2) like the iPod look and feel or 3) just want to be chic. I own both an iBook and iPod, and while I can eschew the chic-factor, this screen simply screams 'style' on my desktop. Everyone who saw it uttered something akin to "wow" -- to a point that it becomes a...

Sexy Is Back!
Strengths: 1) Looks oh so sweet! 2) Very functional design 3) Super high brightness to contrast ratio 4)So easy to use
Weakness: I refuse to say anything bad about this monitor
This was a secondary monitor purchased for another computer I own. I can give a direct compairson to the Dell 1905FP which in itself is a very high quality monitor. First thing I noticed was just how sexy this monitor is. Easily compares in my opinion to those iMAc monitors with the smooth white base. The monitor just screams to please you with the way that it can be tilted, swiveled, and raised...

samsung 970p
Strengths: Great picture (after calibration).
Weakness: software provided crashes my system
I have had this monitor for a day. First the things I like: Swivels almost any direction you can imagine. Amazing picture, this is my first LCD monitor and I am very impressed, at first I was worried after reading that this monitor apparently is only 6 bits and not an 8 bit monitor, however, it shows photos nearly as good as my CRT monitor. DVD playback is pretty good too, much better than I...
