ATI Radeon 9600SE Video Card

Strengths: Top performance in 2D. Great value.

Weakness: Incompatability with some games.

The Radeon 9600SE deserves a best buy in value. Rock solid 2D and very good 3D performance for games. Although not the most powerful card, it will handle all of the new games to be released like Half-Live 2. However, there are some problems with certain games, such as the popular 1942 series! Many cannot play this game with the Radeon cards (until a patch is release). Online support is very...

ATI Radeon 9600SE Video Card

Strengths: Supports duel monitor. with 128megs of DDR on board it soars great price, Direct X 9 support, AGP 8X

I am a serious gamer and my old card wasnt living up to todays latest games I was looking around at the high end cards and was thinking is all that power worth the price so i tested out a couple cards all the latest and greatest of them I finally wanted to see how they compared to some of the "Cheaper Cards" well to say the least my jaw hit the floor after seeing the price and the Power of this...

ATI Radeon 9600SE Video Card

Strengths: Handels High resolution and 3D at great refresh rates. plays all the games with what is needed. at 128 megs ram it does the trick for all games. It is blazingly fast. Best for the Dollar.

Weakness: It should have had a F connector for video out as well as the S video connector and the two types of monitor hookup. It would be nice to just run a coaxial cable to the TV to watch shows.

I thought that at the price I paid I would have to come back later to buy a new card when I upgrade to faster motherboards and cpu's. This will not be the case I upgraded to the better ATI board and found that it wasnt any better than this board. This board is every bit as good as the higher priced boards and just as fast if not faster. To be flat honest out of five of us playing with three...

A pretty poor card

Strengths: the 325MHz core , DVI port , 9600 series , supporting almost all games out there.

Weakness: this a 64 bit card , babe!! . OC unuseful . Extra-low fps! . defeated in 2006 generation of games . benches the lowest at 3DMark05 .

I had bought this thing more that one year ago , i chosed it cause i thought 9200 won't be enough , nevertheless i couldnt bought anything higher , and because it was much cheaper that a real 9600 , and even i thought the SE here means SECOND EDITION!! This is a complete Foolishness! I dont't even know that this is just 64 bit and this BITS are doing a great deal at gaming. Take an ex. The 9600...

ATI Radeon 9600SE Video Card

Strengths: It runs smooth!

Weakness: None

I think it would be nicer if it is cheaper, because this is too expensive as it is. And plus this card is pretty quiet and is not overheating like crazy, so I highly recommand this card to all users.

Avoid this Product

Strengths: Easy to install, decent performance for the price.

Weakness: Terrible support, horrible drivers, extremely buggy.

In 6 months, I haven't been able to get a lick of help from ATI in regards to this product. Their drivers are simply terrible. Catalyst is the worst set of video drivers ever released. I've gotten graphical glitches in games (flashes on the screen every few seconds for seemingly no reason). Catalyst, for whatever reason, is unable to support 800x600 resolution. ATI offered me no explenation as to...

ATI Radeon 9600SE Video Card

Strengths: Direct X 9 compatible, easy to install, very stable

Weakness: Not for the hardcore gamer, 128 MB but only a 64 bit card

I bought this card a few weeks ago to upgrade a three year old 1.3GHz computer with 512 MB RAM from it's on-board graphics card. Installed and up and running with Windows XP in less that 5 minutes with no issues. It can run the top of the line games, but at reduced stettings. It's a great card for the money. If you're a casual gamer and don't need all the bells and whistles, I would highly...
