Product Details of Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler

Description

The Freezer 7 Pro has six heat pipes and 4700 square centimeters of surface area, which allows it to dissipate up to 200 watts of heat. Due to the heatpipe technology, the Freezer 7 Pro also possesses great thermal transfer properties: its thermal resistance is only 0.17*C/W, compared to the stock heatsink's .23*C/W. This is a powerful, yet quiet heatsink.

Freezer 7 Pro CPU Heatsink

Strengths: Quiet, improvement over stock heat sink, price

Weakness: Installation can be difficult

This hsf is a cost effective way to improve air cooling for overclocked or dual core cpu's. The copper surface of the heat sink is rough and I improved the performance by lapping before mounting. The rubber mounted fan is very quiet and cannot be heard over the case fans. For its price this is a very effective hsf for moderate overclocking. It is larger than the stock hsf but is not as tall as...

Artic Freezer 7 Pro

Strengths: Quiet keeps my Intel D805 cool. idle 38C @ 3.0g overclock

Weakness: Might have more heat dissapation if fins were copper

Overclock to 3.0 currently using components from wife's old computer Bought new motherboard MB ASROCK 775Dual-VSTA PT880PRO 775 CPU INTEL D805 2.66G and Freezer 7 pro from newegg for less than 200.00 plus shipping pretty good deal.

For the price you can't beat it.

Strengths: Price, keeps the CPU cool while overclocking, much better then stock heatsink, quiet, and a six year warranty to boot.

Weakness: Mainly its size, might have trouble fitting on certain motherboards.

Great air cooler for my Core 2 Duo E6600, it keeps my processor chilly at around 35C under load. Compared with other coolers its much cheaper too. Always been a fan of Arctic Cooling products and its my second one already. The previous one in my other build is about two years old is still running strong; highly recommended. Tip: Get some Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste to go along with it!

Freezer 7 Pro CPU

Strengths: Quiet, improvement over stock heat sink, price

Weakness: Keeps breaking the Heatsink retaining clips on my M2N-SLI, on 4th set now.

A little noisy, even over the 4 case fans i have, temp difference from last CPU fan wasn't that great. Needs large case to handle stand-off from CPU.

Reduced my P4 LGA775 CPU temp 20 degrees C

Strengths: Quiet, light-weight (compared to other after-market heatsinks), great airflow. Easy-to-install.

Weakness: None, so far.

CPU temp dropped from 61 degrees C to 41 degrees C in normal operations. Normal operations include video editing and DVD recording, office-type applications, and Flight Simulator 9. Installed (following the directions) with Arctic Silver 5 paste. Air flow is from front-to-back (aligned with my case airflow), and it just happens to align with the rear exhaust fan on my Antec P160 case. How...

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Heatsink

Strengths: Every efficient cooling and priced right!

Weakness: None

Bought this unit based on reviews on this site and others. I a happy I did. The installation was very easy. No issues in my Antec case. The fan is quiet and cools the CPU very well. This is a must for those who overclock!

Lightweight beuty

Strengths: Price. Lightweight. Nice looking (if you're into judging things by looks alone). Quiet on low setting. Comes with MX-1 paste pre-applied, so no messing with AS5.

Weakness: None for what I paid for it.

There is one etailer online that regularly sells these for less than thirty bucks shipped. Can be tricky to install, but read the instructions carefully. Size makes it a comfortable fit on most major motherboards, although check this out before buying one! :)

Excellent cooling and extremely quiet!

Strengths: keeps the cpu very cool

Weakness: Kinda big

I'm using this with my core 2 duo system overclocked, and this cooler is keeping my cpu at great temps. Works much better than stock coolers, and installation was a breeze.

Great Cooler, But BIG

Strengths: Cools wonderfully.

Weakness: Very Large...need a case that will fit it

This was coupled with Arctic's Ceramique thermal paste, and it kept my E6400 cool around 25-C. Great OC'ing potential. I would certainly recommend this, but it may not fit in all cases, especially microATX cases (worked in my ULTRA wizard just fine).

Freezer 7 Pro CPU

Strengths: Easy to install quiet, lightweight

Weakness: none

this a very good heatsink. I oced my E6600 to 3.2GHz and it's running 28 degrees Celsius on idle and around 45 at full load. I did lap the heatsink a bit and used arctic silver 5. However one of my case fans is blowing directly into the freezer and creating a turbo like effect and therefore this caused it to keep the temperature a few degrees lower.
