This board deserves much higher than and average of...

Strengths: Good Features, good overclocking options, even though most Intel CPUS have locked Multipliers, FSB goes balls to the walls.

Weakness: Peoples ignorance and blaming "the board for all issues!"

First, Yes its frustrating when a board comes that is bad or ???. I sympathize. It happens to EVERY BOARD MAKER.... so giving a BOARD A 1 out of 5 because it came DOA OR sometimes it's an issue that occurs in shipping or because of user error or power supply problems blamed by user as a DOA board; is just not FAIR! If I buy a bike and it gets a flat tire on the first ride...is that bike a 1 out...

Exceptional Motherboard, any Core 2 Duo OCer's must...

Strengths: Overclockers Dream, "cheaper" price compared to other Core 2 Duo motherboards out there. POSTS even with bad OC settings to allow easy recovery.

Weakness: BIOS's had major bugs, but the latest "F4e" fixes everything, if you are able to get your board to flash to this first. No possible support for SLI or Crossfire. RAM MUST be able to boot at only 1.8v

As I was saying about the RAM, it must be able to run with only 1.8v for the first boot so you can change the voltages to their proper setting. Corsair RAM works exceptionally well as most of their models like low voltages. This motherboard is an overclockers wet dream! 7x475FSB running 24/7 stable for several days, board can POST at 501FSB with my E6300 processor. Almost never had to physically...

Awesome M/B Great Features at Great Price

Strengths: Supports CORE 2 DUO Processors , BIOS is easy to Managed. Great Overclocking . OC my pentium d 915 2.8GHz Processor to 3.8GHz and running really Stable. Waiting to get my hands on CORE 2 DUO.

Weakness: Really Wish it supported DUAL PCI-E

Great M/B at Great Price . Runs really cool. Running 2.8GHZ processor at 3.8MHZ really stable. Only Problem was the CPU temp was around 70C and I had to use ZALMAN CNPS9500 HSF with ARTIC SILVER 5 and get it down to 55C. Thats INTEL fault not the Mainboard. $149 is really good price for this latest ICH8 M/B. Recommanded to anyone going with CORE 2 Processors.

This one can go back to garage~!

Strengths: Good component selection for usage, especially the solid state caps.

Weakness: GB's BIOS support appears to be very weak and problematic.

I got this board and had problems: - 1. After installing WinXP Pro SP2, it is unable to detect ALL my PCI cards. Updated the BIOS to the latest and it is still the same. Tried SCSI card, 1394 card, nothing~ just cant find it. Stupid thing is, after I enter and exit the BIOS (w/o making any chg) it now finds it. But what's even more frustrating is that the devices only work once. After reboot, I...

Not stable, stay away

Strengths: its cheap

Weakness: bugfest.

I RMA'd it back to clubit. I had rev 3.3. It was just one issue after another. I got tired of pulling my hair out. I'll honestly never buy another gigabyte. I went and got Intel Bad Axe2 for stability 199 at tiger direct, they dont charge tax either.
