Netgear ProSafe FS105 Ethernet SwitchStrengths: easy to install. Weakness: None that I've seen yet. I've been wanted to easily expand my network capability since I got PCs. There were no install CD so you can just plug in your lines. this product does the job well. Switch is well than hubs when you share your date with PCs.

Netgear FS105Strengths: Stable Weakness: None This switch is plug and play and works right out of the box. It's very quiet and great throughput. It's small enough to hide under the desk.

Netgear 10/100 5 Port Dual Speed Switch RJ-45 w/...Strengths: easy to install and trouble-free Weakness: speed This product is easy to install. Just plug and play then it works. It runs flawlessly 24 hours a day and 7 days a week from day one and there is no any issue. I am pretty happy about this. However, the speed is not quite gigabit. It can reach over 100M but far away from 100M.

Reliable Network SwitchStrengths: Sturdy, small housing. Simple and easy to use. Doesn’t really generate much heat. Robust metal case, heavy weight makes it won't slide. Weakness: None so far, except a bit pricey. I’ve bought couple Netgear switches now and have been very happy with them, especially this one. I bought this one because of its reliability and it never disappoints me. What can I say? If you are looking for a solid network switch and willing to pay a little bit more, you should consider this one.

5 port switch - good valueStrengths: warranty - no fan Weakness: case can get hot but it seems to act as a heatsink this unit appears to be for business use than home use. the switch (not a hub) manages traffic on a network and allows and manages the data that flows. this unit has leds for active connections as well as data collisions (nice to look at but not terribly useful as you will likely not have collisions). Unit is heavy enough so multiple cables won't tip the unit. They also include plastic anchors...

Netgear 5 port switchStrengths: great construction, useful led indicators Weakness: leds and ports on same side Very good product for connecting a couple of home computers in a small network or connecting them to a common internet connection. For MOST people don't be tempted to buy gigabit speed switches - this is more than adequate for the majority of users. Paid $12 after rebate as of October 2007. Good value. The case is metal and the power block is good quality as well. I would recommend this unit....

It is not cheap, but stableStrengths: Stable, easy to install, great case (metal) Weakness: Simple manual, expensive It is great switch, not cheap, but steady, great case from metal, can be attached on the wall. The size ?, small. It is come with simple manual, but actualy you don't need that. Dual speed 10-100, but you will never use it. Very light though.

Netgear ProSafe FS105 Ethernet Switch
Strengths: Fast switching and effortless setup.
Weakness: Power supply design.
Netgear makes the most reliable home and small office networking products on the market. The switch performed flawlessly and works with either patch or crossover cables. The power supply design is unnecessarily bulky making it difficult to use in combination with other adaptors on powerstrip type surge protectors.
