Scintillating Story, and Awesome Action Won't Leave...

Strengths: Fantastic storyline, not-too-complex fighting system, great replay-ability

Weakness: More of a strength for my personality, but mainly a button-masher as far as fighting goes.

I thoroughly enjoyed Jade Empire. Much like the Star Wars titles created by Bioware, it has an excellent storyline with compelling characters and meaningful dialogue choices. As a generally lazy RPG fan, I enjoy games with good stories that aren't too difficult to navigate. Jade Empire provides fast-paced action with captivating plot elements, yet it's not too abstract or difficult to determine...

Bioware doesnt disappoint...though we did have to...

Strengths: Same strong store lines as previous titles, BG, BGII, KOTOR; the list goes on. New engine, great graphics, nice goodies w/ the special edition

Weakness: Came out on console first; made us wait for a long time before it was ported. Slightly stale; especially for us who had seen it on console

What can you say about Bioware and RPG? It has such a great records; titles such as BG, BG2, KOTOR. Jade Empire has the usual strong story line. Set in the oriental, which is a change in pace for Bioware. This allows some new exotic backgrounds. The graphics are great as it shows off the capability of a new engine (new games such as the Witcher also use the same engine.) Game is a little short...

review for 2K Games Jade Empire: Special Edition...

Strengths: fighting system is simple strong and attractive stories

Weakness: None

Jade Empire is the best PRG game I have played in my life, I will give him the 5 star. As my understanding, 5 stars would mean it is a work of art. This gmae has a simple fighting system, but it still be challenging for some advanced settings. It keeps a nice balance of "arcade style" (click a lot) and more of an RPG style like Neverwinter Nights (the character does a lot of the basic fighting on...

Jade Empire - RPG "Kung Fu" Fun on your PC.

Strengths: Smooth and responsive play. Easy to learn, fun to play. Does not need a "power" machine to run.

Weakness: Perhaps a little too "chatty" at parts. Comes on DVD which some people might not have a drive to handle.

2K/Bioware's Jade Empire Special Edition is impressive even before you begin to play it, as it comes in a thick DVD case, which contains a decent manual, a larger booklet that covers "The Art of Jade Empire" and a Jade Empire Special Edition poster, as well as the game DVD. -- Installation is painless, and if you don't have the needed DirectX 9.0 installed, the install process asks if you want it...

Jade Empire. Another Great BioWare RPG.

Strengths: Story. Art.

Weakness: Some cheesy conversations.

BioWare has been making good RPGs for a long time now and this one is no different. It has a good RPG core and the combat is not slow or turn based which is a nice change. It can be a little random or hectic at first but once you spar a bit in the early game and later fight more you'll get a hang of it. Switching between combat styles is easy and adds more depth to combat. You are rewarded for...

RPG with great graphics and action

Strengths: Smooth graphics with lots of detail, engaging storyline, runs nice on a medium powered PC

Weakness: takes time to master movements

This game is very nice. Once you see the graphics details you will want to buy just to watch. Basically you learn martial arts and go save the world. My PC is no powerhouse by any means (Athlon 4000 and GeForce 7600GT) and the graphics are smooth with plenty of details. You cannot believe that other game makers use the same technology to make graphics look so good. OK enough of eye candy...

Good Filler RPG

Strengths: Decent graphics, cool animations and fun combat, moderate system requirement

Weakness: game is bit short, and doesn't have too much replay value besides the desire of trying out different combat styles and options. Also too many cut scenes

Good RPG-lite game from Bioware. Fun combat and nice graphics. While there are quite a few subplots, none of them are too involving. The appeal of the game is really its rather dynamic combat system. Gone are the rolling dice, instead you have to actively control your character in combat in ways similar to a fighting game. Note: It took me only 4 days of causal play (about 16 hrs of game play) to...

Jade Empire

Bioware's normally great games did not seem to translate 100% into Jade Empire. Still, it's a great game. Worthy of a purchase I'd say, especially at the reasonable prices it can be found at.

Jade Empire: Special Edition

Before the Xbox platform launched and paved way for Bioware to develop several exclusives for Microsoft, Bioware had been known as one of the best PC developers. With being the brilliant minds behind Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights, they laid a foundation of clever storytelling and amassing several interesting characters within each game. It was with Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic...
