1st HD and upgrade to 42

Strengths: Great out of the box picture. Easy to set up with the wizard and so far have not adjusted picture looks great. A real pleasant experience as an upgrade from SD 27" set.

Weakness: Have not noticed any weakness for my uses.

So far the HP-T4264 has been terrific. It was easy to set up out of the box. I followed the quick set up guide for connecting a STB with a DVD player. When I turned the set on the wizard walked me through the initial set up. The menus are intuitive and easy to navigate. I look forward to more interaction with them as I purchase other HD components . I feel good about the purchase price and the...

HP- T4264 42' Plasma TV

Strengths: Deep Blacks, Price, Appearance

Weakness: None

This is my first entry into the plasma market. I had a Samsung LCD prior to this. I really feel this set gives off a richer picture. From my understanding true HD 1080p is not needed on a set this size. It is important to note that as with most plasma sets you should avoid gaming on the set for at least the first 100 hours. The are really great deals on this set right now and I have no regrets...

Samsung 4264

Strengths: Lots of outputs on back and sides. Great picture and features.

Weakness: None so far

This TV is great and was ready to go out of the box. No need for assembly of the stand. The picture and clarity of the HD channels I receive is excellent. Overall, for the price I got this TV for, I recommend it to anyone looking for a 42" TV.

Great Price/Quality Ratio on this Baby!!

Strengths: Stunning PQ, Great Price, Great Controls & Tweakability, TONS of inputs.

Weakness: Subpar sound, not sure how useful "ultra filterbright" is.

Spent about a month searching for 42" plasmas and considered all the usual suspects (Panasonic, Pioneer, Philips, LG, etc) before settling on the newly released 4264. Let me tell ya, while you probably couldn't go really wrong on most of the above-named brands, I am DEFINITELY happy with how my purchase has worked out thus far. The 4264 is an amazing bargain at the price and gives users a great...

Good looking TV

Strengths: Good looking, Sharp Picture, easy menus

Weakness: Off Air Channels suck, even with an expensive HD Antenna. Horrible out of the box set up, very reddish colors.

I am pleased with this purchase, got a great deal from Amazon. Plus free white glove delivery. Colors look a little off but minor tweaking plus break in should fix it. Picture is really sharp. and Blacks are black! I was expecting the sound to be a little better and to tell you the truth I can't really find a big difference in the 4254 and 4264 models except for the cable card and the anti glare....

Samsung HP-T4264 plasma review

Strengths: Excellent picture quality in standard definition, HD quality is fantastic. 3 HDMI inputs and great over the air HD reception. Numerous setting options.

Weakness: Black bezel adds some reflection of image along borders but nothing too noticeable. Out of box set up needs some tuning which is easy. No real weaknesses.

One of the best 42" plasmas available, OTA HD picture is fantastic and crisp. Multiple inputs and settings, and a remote that is actually of good design. Ink like blacks and a very bright color pallet. First Samsung TV purchase and am very impressed. Blu-ray looks amazing and game setting for PS3 and Xbox 360 HD gaming is a great feature. 720P is all you'll really need for HDTV's below the 50 to...

Good Performance for Price

Strengths: Overall good value for 42" Plasma. Excellent brightness and overall clarity with variety of inputs (3 x HDMI, 1 PC, USB, etc..). Anti-burn provides extra protection (pixel shift and white scroll).

Weakness: Picture out of box over produces red hues and greens.

I've owned this TV for about a week now. It's my first plasma and I've been satisfied with my purchase. Considered Pioneer 4070HD and Pannasonic 77U. Pioneer probably had best overall picture and Panasonic had better anti-glare and sound, but decided to go with Samsung after reading CNET review. Decided against Pioneer based on last years model and against Panny because size and inputs (speakers...

Samsung HP-T4264

Strengths: Good black/white contrasts, excellent color, universal remote

Weakness: none

Although the Samsung HP-T4264 was rated slightly lower than the Panasonic TH-42PX77U, it's comparably priced competitor, the Samsung offers additional features such as universal remote, PIP, PC input, and additional HDMI input. Picture and sound quality are both excellent so far. I believe I made the right choice.

Samsung HPT4264. Nothing Exceptional.

Strengths: Very user-friendly menus; easy to setup; swivel base is a big plus, speaker sound quality is excellent; has PC/VGA input

Weakness: buttons on remote could be better placed/design; no SUBTITLE button; over the air HD channel quality is mediocre to average

This is my second Samsung 42" plasma. After owning another 42" I decided to get one for the bedroom. I have owned this for a little under a month. Just some facts first. This plasma is a 720p (not 1080p) and boasts 10W sound output, has PC in VGA connector, two standard component INs, two HDMI/DVI in, two coaxial connector, standard A/V connectors and S-Video along with digital Audio out. On the...

Excellent TV

Strengths: Price, Clarity, Sound

Weakness: less clarity in sunlight

I bought this TV and absolutely love it. Although I watch 30 minutes a week, its worth having a piece such as this. Highly recommended over LCD or others. Rajat Dhameja

Samsung HP-T4264 42\" Plasma HDTV

Alright folks, it's crunch time. The year is coming to a close and if you didn't pick up your new HDTV during the "Black Friday" sales in November your last chance is quickly approaching because once it's January you will no longer have a legitimate excuse to splurge on that big screen (men I'm talking to you, I doubt any woman that want's a HDTV will get any resistance from her significant...
