Description

After your plane crashes into icy uncharted waters, you discover a rusted bathysphere and descend into Rapture, a city hidden beneath the sea. A unique FPS.. finally

Strengths: The graphics, the gameplay, the storyline.

Weakness: Some kind of DLC would of been appreciated..as well as SOME kind of online. But that's just being picky.

Usually FPS games are a dime a dozen. Not BioShock. It's a great game. Yes, everyone is right. It's a great and fun game. The storyline is awesome, the controls are great..and, oh yeah it's fun. It can be a little too dark, but it's really nothing spooky. Just creepy? Yeah. If you haven't picked this up, well..what are you waiting for? Have Gamefly? At least put it in your Q! It's worth that at...

Fantastic Game!

Strengths: Graphics are lovely Wonderful weapons Great Atmosphere

Weakness: It ends.

Play this game. It has all the FPS you can handle. Lush graphics, an engaging story, and challenging gameplay await. And watch out for the Big Daddy! If you own an Xbox 360, you owe it to yourself to PLAY THIS GAME! You won't be disappointed.

Undersea Mad House

Strengths: Graphics, Story, Gameplay, Sound

Weakness: Not much Replayabilty after Two times

Bioshock is a first-person action/adventure game for the XBOX 360. The player plays as some guy who's plane crashes in the sea, finds a lighthouse, and then ends up entering an underwater city called Rapture which is torn apart by a civil war. The controls are similar to most first-person shooters on consoles. The player can use a normal weapon ranging from a wrench to grenade launcher or...

Bioshock

Strengths: A first-person shooter with a brain (good, deep story)

Weakness: Eh, it's still an FPS

First off I'll say I'm not an FPS (first-person shooter) fan. However, Bioshock was different enough for me to give it a shot. It has great graphics, and, even better, great art design. The Art Deco environment of underwater city of Rapture is absolutely stunning both graphically and from a design standpoint. The combat is fairly varied, with different projectile weapons and a force-like magical...

Don't Play This

Strengths: Sucks you into a story that's engrossingly bizarre--also a huge weakness of the game (read on)

Weakness: Immoral "decisionmaking"

Life's hard enough without purposely "entering" a pretend world that, according to the game designers themselves is, "terrible." I regret playing this game and wish I hadn't exposed myself to these images of mutated and mutilated little girls. This game is, in one word, horrific.

Raising the bar

Strengths: From a single player engrossment point of view it has it all....

Weakness: No online or multiplay option

Sublime..... The further you delve the deeper you will want to go. Dark and twisted story line throughout, with a lot of sickness mixed in. Weapons, vending machines, power ups are extraordinary. The look of the game, the immersion into the storyline, the continual twists and turns. This is my all time favourite game, pushs Halo 3, Oblivion, Assassin's Creed all to one side. I pray for one thing...

Game of the Year!!

Strengths: Music; Story; Voice Acting

Weakness: Lack of multiplayer

Best First Person Shooter I've ever played! I've played my share of FPS', but this one takes the cake. The game mechanics are spot on. The graphics are top notch. The music and art direction set an eerie tone. I would recommend this game to anyone that enjoys first person shooters. Sure, there's no multiplayer. However, this is the kind of game that people don't mind watching and waiting for a...

360 Game of the Year

Strengths: breathtaking environments and graphics, creepy/scary, incredible AI, engaging story, upgrade weapons, 20+ hours of play,

Weakness: no online support, questionable content, no multiplayer,

Bioshock is an incredible first person shooter. Stranded in a breathtaking underwater city, Rapture, your goal is to find a way home. That won’t be easy because Rapture is populated with plenty of baddies from Splicers to the Big Daddies. Make no mistake these enemies are tough. A run and gun approach will not work in this game. To be successful in Bioshock you’ll have to use the environment...

Bioshock: A Shocking Inovative Gaming Experience

Strengths: Gameplay, Story, Graphics, Controls, Atmosphere

Weakness: No Multiplayer

Wow!!! Bioshock is one of the most innovative and unique games I have played in years. It is totally up there with Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Super Mario 64. This is the must-play game of the year on the 360 (sorry Halo 3 fans). This is no First-Person shooter---this is a First-Person Adventure. You explore the spooky world of Rapture, a undersea dystopia. As you explore the Rapture,...

Bioshock (XBOX 360)

Strengths: (1) Awesome visuals (2) Great story (3) Good FPS gameplay infused with compelling RPG elements

Weakness: (1) None

Bioshock is truly one of the best games I have played. A unique and intriguing, interactive sci-fi narrative at its core, Bioshock is wrapped in addictive gameplay as you upgrade your character with new plasmid abilities, hack various machines and manipulate enemy characters to your advantage. From the very start, you are thrown into a believable and chilling world and become curious about how it...

BioShock | Xbox 360

BioShock is a first-person shooter that is the spiritual successor to the cult classic game System Shock. BioShock takes a more thoughtful approach to the genre as opposed to traditional run and gun gameplay. The three standout features that the developers strive for are with the setting and storyline, the open natured gameplay, and the advanced artificial intelligence. The game takes place in an...

Bioshock

2k’s new FPS Bioshock has been hyped up the wazoo from both fans, magazines, news, and Jack Thompson alike. (Come on, you know that if Thompson is complaining about something it has to be good.) Many are even saying it’s the best thing since the sliced breads known as Counter-Strike and Halo.

BioShock

The first-person shooter genre is easily one of the most popular styles of video games, and to look back over the past several years, some of the biggest titles of all time and "game of the year" awards have been for games of the FPS genre. Half Life, HALO, Half Life 2, F.E.A.R., Deus Ex, HALO 2, all have been critically lauded and made tons and tons of money. Not only because they are fun as all...
