HP w2207 Monitor

Strengths: Brightview clear screen, colors and text flawless, great monitor stand rotates to portrait and landscape positions, built-in speakers.

Weakness: Buggy pivot control software for rotating monitor.

This is by far the best monitor I have used. I ordered it directly from HP. It has a beautiful brightview clear screen with a nice shiny black bezel around it. I develop software for a living and use this monitor more than 12 hours a day. The supplied pivot software for rotating monitor is buggy, especially after updating video drivers. Display on my new iMac was perfect straight out of the box, no need to adjust anything, this wasn't by ANY measure. Grossly washed out, very harsh on the eyes text. After one hour of trying to calibrate this monitor (Somehow HP was too lazy to include a predefined color profile), much improvement but still far from what I see on my iMac. So despite my best efforts I have two screens now sitting...
