Crucial Ballistix 2GB PC2 8500 - Great RAMStrengths: Crucial Micron D9 chips, lifetime warranty, yellow heatsinks, excellent overclocker. Weakness: Expensive if you buy without rebates. No issues running on a MSI P6N SLI-FI motherboard. Currently running at DDR1066 with 5-5-5-12 timings @ 2.1V. Also tested at DDR900 with 4-4-4-12 timings and DDR1140 with 5-5-5-15 timings. Probably could overclock higher. Rebate took less than 6 weeks to arrive. I highly recommend this RAM.

Buyer BewareStrengths: Cheap? Weakness: Corruption and burn out issues. This set has a high rate of failure, unfortunately I found this out after I bought it. One of the chips went bad in 2 months and I'm RMA'ing it and will Ebay it. It may do well if you don't plan on overclocking or you may be lucky and get a decent set, but I've read alot of them fail pretty quickly. Buyer beware.

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM...Strengths: Micron D9 Chips, Lifetime warranty Weakness: Expensive I bought these to run in a Abit P35 board with a Q6600 1066mhz CPU in daul channel with out having to use a memory divider. In hindsight, and for the deals available on DDR2-800, the gains for using this memory are slight. I still would recommend this memory, just keep in mind the premium price it commands. Also keep in mind the voltage ratings on these sticks is 2.2. I'm running them at 2.1 with...

Ballistix 2GB PC2-8500Strengths: Crucial Micron D9's, so its fast and reputable. The heatsinks look awesome.great for overclocking. Weakness: none Crucial produces high quality, dependable, reliable and extremely fast memory. I've owned other crucial products in the past and never have had a problem. All still functioning. This runs as stated at 5,5,5,15 at 1066mhz and beyond. Don't know the speed limit but it did go above 1100mhz at stock voltage. I can run 1000 mhz at 4,4,4,12 testing ortho blend for hours w/o failure. Boots and runs fine...

Ballistix 2GB PC2-8500 DDR2 DIMM Dual Channel Memory...Strengths: High quality RAM with heatspreaders to offset the overclocking heat. Looks mean right out of the box!!! Weakness: None that I can notice. Great memory at reduced price plus rebates. Will get another pair when prices drop again or with additional rebates. This is quality high performance RAM that is stable. A must when a pair is less than $100 after rebates. Memory was recognized at first boot. AWESOME!

Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500 reviewStrengths: Micron D9 + great speed + high reliability + funky heatspreaders + lifetime warranty Weakness: Pricy w/o rebates, motherboard must support higher than 1.8V I got this set of RAM for a great deal from newegg.com. Actually I sent back crucial ballistix pc2-6400 which I bought at the same price a week ago before I saw this on newegg. I have paired this with c2d e6550 on a gigabyte p35-ds3r. Installation was smooth without any hassles from the mobo. On the auto timings mode, mobo ran this RAM has slower timings of 5-7-7-25, but I could manually set them...

Excellent Overclocking MemoryStrengths: Overclocking above the mentioned FSB, Pretty Cool(look wise and literally) Weakness: at present the prices have gone up(DDR3 becoming more popular and cheaper) Works great at 1100 on my Abit IP35 Pro board. Very fast and absolutely stable. Comes with Crucial Lifetime Warranty. This is a great memory if you are planning to overclock your computer. Easily can overclock to 1200 with loose settings of 5-5-5-15 and if you want tight settings it should work great with lower FSB. With the lifetime warranty from Crucial, I think its no brainer to get these...

Great overclocking memoryStrengths: Lifetime warranty, fast even at stock speeds. Price drops have made them affordable for many. Weakness: Prices continued to drop after I bought mine:( This memory comes with Crucial's lifetime warranty and exceptional service. No bling bling leds, but then again they cost less than the Tracer models. Make sure you have ram adjustments in your BIOS. This ram is designed for 1066MHz 5-5-5-15@2.2v. I find mine will run without errors in memtest at a slightly lower voltage. You can also run tighter timings at lower speeds...it's up to you. My new...

Excellent BuyStrengths: FAST!! Lifetime warranty through Crucial (hope I don't have a need for it, but can't hurt). Looks really slick (if you're into that kind of thing). Weakness: None. Just installed this memory in my first PC build. Went in easily enough. One thing I can say is that this RAM is fast! Everything I run, including intensive programs such as Photoshop CS3 and Maya 8, load up quickly and work without a hitch. The difference between this memory and my old pc-3200 is like night and day. I've heard this memory is great for overclockers, but it's plenty fast enough for...

Excellent Quality Ram
Strengths: Overclocks well Great Price for great RAM Lifetime warranty
Weakness: Price (for some people) DDR3 coming out (but will not be standard for several years)
Crucial is a division Micron, who makes RAM chips for companies like Muskin. These are the same as the Crucial Ballistix Tracer line of product, minus the LEDs. I have 4GB of tracer and thought I would give these a try. They perform well, and overclock to 1100 at timings of 5-5-5-15. I have heard of timings of 5-5-5-15 at DDR2-1200. I never get a hitch in my computer system with these sticks of...
