Not good for power usersStrengths: 4 PCI-E x8 Slots, Intigrated Sound Blaster X-fi Weakness: Horrible BIOS, Drive Support Issues, Board Layout Problems, really bad tech support I upgraded from an ASUS P5WDH-Deluxe MB to allow the addition of a second GeForce 8800 in SLI mode. The upgrade has been a disaster. Still can't get the 8800 to operate in SLI mode after 2 months. This MSI board looks great on paper, but has all sorts of issues in actual use, and thier tech support will not resolve any. The BIOS is really bad, many of the typical BIOS settings are absent. The...

Great BoardStrengths: 1333FSD, X-Fi audio! Supports the new E8x00 series now Weakness: Doesn't have DDR3 ram and Raid is somewhat tricky Overall this is a great 680i board at a great price. The FREE "Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme HD Audio" makes these an even better price. I had no problems installing my E8400, XFX 9800GTX or 4gb of ram on this board.

A few issues but nice board, MSI please release new...Strengths: 6 Channels of SATA, RAID, Lots a' Slots, Stable well laid out, fast. Weakness: BIOS sucks, BIOS automatically moving new drives to 1st boot device. Did I mention crappy BIOS I like this board overall, it is flexible well laid out lots of connections. I runs well and stable and I have had no issues now that its been set up configured and running for 3 weeks as a media, file server. That being said configuration is a PITA, the BIOS is really lame. The fact that it bumps new devices to top of boot order is unacceptable. It might be tolerable if only you could disable...

Problems right away and horrible tech support
Strengths: None so far. MSI still has this board and is taking forever to RMA it.ÂÂ
Weakness: It is impossible to get anyone on the phone for support and they do not respond to tech or customer support email. I will never buy another MSI product as long as I live.
MSI really sucks. I know there can be problems and somtimes you need to RMA a product, but when I had an issue with my Asus board they cross shipped one and took care of all charges. Now with MSI I paid shipping to them and am waiting in limbo with nothing, no eta or even hope that it will be fixed soon. The board was new, they should just send a new board in my...
