Good for laptops while it is on your lap.

Strengths: Keeps the laptop from dissipating heat onto your lap.

Weakness: None yet.

This is not to be used to help in overclocking your system. It is only meant to help keep the temperature level and not get too hot especially when the laptop is on your lap. It worked really well and quickly the first time, then afterwards it still worked, but not as quickly. It definitely still works. Recommend it for Apple laptops as they seem to get extremely hot. Not sure about other laptops. Tried to use those usb plug-in 2-fan coolers and that lasted for only a certain amount of time and after a while did not cool the laptop that well. The fan coolers did not keep the heat off the lap. This cooling pad definitely did its job in not having the heat end up on your lap. I would recommend trying this if your current fan coolers do not seem to be doing its job. I would check this out and see for yourself. I still have my usb plug-in fan, but use that when it is sitting on a table. When I need the laptop on my lap, I use the cooling pad.

fanless noiseless cooler ftw?

Strengths: Good concept Feels well made Fanless, uses 0 power = no noise

Weakness: Ugly black/red (wanted white) Doesn't work Seems to insulate heat in my laptop

The concept behind this is great. And if you read the reviews, you will find that some found it really useful while others thought it only gave minor improvements. With this on my Toshiba A135-S2386, it does not help at all. In fact seems to make my laptop hotter by ~2-3°C. I think I will still with my Antec Notebook Cooler with 2 fans. It might work well on other laptops that are hotter on the bottom, but not mine.

Very effective insulator

Strengths: insulates tabletop lightweight

Weakness: gets warm after a while

This is a very effective insulator. I use it mainly to put my laptop on the wood kitchen table without ruining the table. I also sometimes use it to put over my lap to prevent bodily overheating ; however, because the heat still ends up venting out the side, this isn't as effective as something like the belkin cushtop for laptop lap insulation.

Good product.

Strengths: cooled my laptop very well. Very easy to use.

I have a 17" Toshiba Satellite and it really works for my laptop. Its very different compared to the USB fans and a lot easier to use. IT REALLY WORKS!!
